Shrimp Tempura and Sweet Potato Rollsweet - A white ceramic plate contains an assortment of sushi rolls, including tempura and mango-filled varieties, topped with sauces and garnished with lettuce. Accompanying the sushi are slices of pickled ginger and a dollop of wasabi. The plate is placed on a dark wooden table in a restaurant setting, with a glass of water, a small dipping sauce dish, and a plate and utensils visible in the background.

This quick spot for sushi is perfect. The cost is very reasonable and the service is fast. The inside has 7-10 tables so lots of seating for lunch or dinner, but we saw more takeout than in-person dining when we were there. I did see the prices are more expensive online, so something to note. I got the shrimp tempura and sweet potato rolls. Both were great!

The image shows the interior of a Japanese restaurant with brick walls decorated with artwork. There are wooden tables and chairs arranged for dining, with napkins and utensils set on each table. The ceiling has recessed lighting and blue accent lighting, creating a subdued atmosphere. The space appears clean and organized, with a corner visible that includes a pink decorative element on the left side.

Great place, great staff, delicious food, quick, hot, and yummy. Our server made the dining experience superb!

This menu displays a selection of Japanese beverages including beers like Sapporo, Kirin Ichiban, Heineken, and Corona, with prices for small and large sizes. It also offers white wines (Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc) and red wines (Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Merlot), all priced per glass and bottle. The sake options include house hot and cold sake, and various flavored sake, with prices listed. Soft drinks such as Ramune soda, Coke, Fanta, and ginger ale are available, along with juices and teas. The design features cherry blossom graphics, creating a floral theme.

Sakura Grill seems to be a local favorite to get their sushi, maki, and take advantage of their lunch specials. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, salads, soup, sushi/sashimi/maki rolls, tempura, katsu, noodles, hibachi, and bento boxes. We came here for an early dinner, and we ordered: +a Filet Mignon Hibachi Dinner +a Shrimp Hibachi Dinner These were served with a choice of soup or salad, and the dish comes with a side of the grilled veggies and fried rice. The star of the show was their yum yum sauce, as it was thick, creamy, and so good with the meal; the meal itself is okay - the proteins were cooked well, albeit the shrimp was slightly overcooked and was a bit rubbery. I didn't care much for the fried rice, as it was super bland, and even adding some of the yum yum sauce didn't help. Veggies could have been less 'wet', as it was pretty liquid-y. I'd probably try out their lunch version of the hibachi, as the price point here is a bit steep, considering the quality and the amount of food that is given. Staff were friendly, and the place itself is small, with a handful of tables and some counter seating. Located in the Rolling Valley shopping center, there's ample parking in the plaza lot. +great yum yum sauce! +friendly staff +located in the Rolling Valley shopping center +ample parking in the large plaza lot

Angel Kiss Roll - A sushi roll with fried filling, possibly tempura, is presented on a long white plate. The roll is topped with a creamy yellow sauce and has a small amount of wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. The setting appears to be in a restaurant with a dark wooden table and glasses of water nearby.

Really good! enjoy all the favorable Roll options. key spot to fill the sushi craving here in Burke VA.

A white ceramic bowl holds shredded vegetable salad with a small amount of orange garnish on top. The bowl is on a dark wooden table, with a black napkin featuring a gold logo, a glass of water, and a white plate nearby. The setting appears to be a Japanese restaurant, with utensils and other tableware visible in the background.

But wait. My go-to spot suddenly closed, leaving me in a bit of a lurch! Where do I go?! We all have our favorite Chinese restaurant, and when we can't go to that one there's a little bit of a conundrum. I take American Chinese food seriously - which really means I order the same thing 98% of the time because that's my GO TO meal. As an intellectual, that is of course General Tso's chicken. Beijing Tokyo blends north and south Asia into a rather cozy, strip mall location. One person was talking obliviously on her cell phone, while the sushi Chef took orders. Until Yelp asked me if this place was romantic, I hadn't actually thought about it that way. But it is a little romantic. The tables are close together, the light is low, even if this place was full it would be... Cozy. A Chinese restaurant that's cozy is a very short leap to romantic. You can have a conversation here. I ordered my usual and waited about 10 minutes. The GTC was excellent. It had spice and flavor, but not too spicy. The fried rice was delicious. Good portion size and a good price. Two egg rolls and the total came to $25.25. No surprises, nothing out of the ordinary. If you had told me this had come from my favorite- now sadly closed - Chinese restaurant, I would have never known the difference. And there in lies what I think makes a good Chinese restaurant: predictability. American Chinese food is a distinct cuisine with the same menus, the same waving Buddah and melamine plates. The difference is quality, and the taste of your favorite meal. I am sad that my favorite place closed, but Beijing Tokyo is my new Chinese food restaurant, and I think it's pretty darn good.

While it is a little small it has a charming interior that feels as if you've been transported to Japan. The chairs are super comfy and the plates are adorable! The service is great, if you have allergies they will try their best to accommodate you. It's wonderful! I had the orange chicken, my brother got the general tso's, and my sister got beef lo mein. We had the spring rolls and sichuan cabbage for appetizers. The spring rolls were very light and had a delicious flavor, the cabbage was the perfect blend of spicy and sour and makes for a great palette cleanser. Both of the chickens were great, the coating wasn't thick and the sauce had a nice flavor. The lo mein noodles, oh boy you gotta try those. They're not only delicious but they don't taste greasy like some other places. And finally let's talk portion size, they give a very generous amount of food. Literally depending on how much you eat you'll make 2-3 meals out of it. Seriously don't skip this place, it's a hidden treasure. The only unfortunate thing is that they don't serve tea BUT they will get you warm water. P.S the dessert is a MUST

The YiPin fried rice received two thumbs up from a teen. We sat near the front window, which currently has blinking lights around it. From the outside the lights are appealing, but I discourage anyone with any sensory sensitivity from sitting where the lights are visible. There is seating behind a wall where the lights would be blocked from view. We got used to the lights after a short time and no one in our party was bothered by them, but even the teens commented that the lights would bother some people. The service was adequate. The two people working the front of the restaurant were courteous and welcoming. They brought water without us requesting it and were quick to put in our appetizer order. The food came out in a reasonable time and our water was refilled once while we ate. I had to get the wait staff's attention more than once during our visit (to order dessert and pay the bill), which for me signals the wait staff isn't paying enough attention. They were slow to bring me the check so we could pay and leave. I am going to be optimistic that the service will improve in needed ways as the staff gain more experience and learn how to better manage multiple tables. We hope to add YiPin to our family's shortlist of go-to eateries and we will be back to explore the menu further.

The food was made to perfect and the freshness of the uni and salmon were as if they were fishing it from the back door.
