That's a teaspoon. Tiny half moons of solid sludge.

The spicy crunch shrimp wasn't iidentifiable. The Philadelphia roll didn't taste freshly made. They were very small. The teriyaki chicken was thin, bland strips with a watery teriyaki sauce poured over. The green tea ice cream came in two tiny prepackaged containers that didn't amount to a scant single scoop. The texture and taste was not ice cream. I love Japanese cuisine. I've had better at Stop & Shop. I took a photo of the so called ice cream serving.

This is one of my favorite hibachi restaurants around the area. The food is delicious. The service is on point. The design is really nice. They have four station set up for hibachi shows all the way I usually sit at a table in the dining room instead but when I do the hibachi table it's always a nice show where they have you catch things in your mouth. The food is always served quick and they really refill the drinks on point. It's slightly pricey but it seems to be worth it. I will continue to come here as long as they continue to be as awesome as they are. I really like the clear soup and their salad. Sometimes I just place an order to get the clear soup to go because it's just that good. You can enter from the front or the back. There's parking on both sides and you do not have to pay for it. Parking is limited on both sides as it's in a plaza with other shared stores. They close from 3:00 to 4:30 everyday so if you go between that time they will not be open. Lunch is cheaper you can see that on the menu I posted.

My sissy and I went for a lunch hibachi date and were pleasantly surprised. Our food was yummy and all appeared fresh. The service was the highlight! Being served with a smile and close attention always gets an A in my book! Portions were smaller than most hibachi places I've been to but still worth the trip! Beautiful restaurant by the way!

My daughter was going off to college and wanted hibachi before she left. We called the place we would normally go to in Hamden only to be told they no longer cook at the teppan tables (since the pandemic). So we decided to try Sakimura on the recommendation of friends and it was a great experience! The 3 of us ordered appetizers, which were all very good and all of our hibachi meals were made with high quality ingredients. My filet was tender and the 2 shrimp that come with each entree were good sized. Veggies were very fresh. I liked that they gave you fried rice and noodles. Many places charge extra for the noodles. Ginger dressing on the salad, soup, and dipping sauces that accompanied the entree were all very tasty. I should also mention how nice they were when I called to make the reservation. Sakimura will be our new go-to for hibachi.

We took a group of colleagues from out of town to Sakimura. Reservations were easy to get on a midweek evening and we appreciated all being sat together as a group. The food was excellent and very abundant. While hibachi can be quite expensive, the volume of food is enough to satisfy just about any appetite or create a mountain of leftovers. Fortunately the staff here make sure to include plenty of rice, noodles, veggies and protein in the hibachi dinner orders. We also got some sushi for the table. It was fresh, delicious and was presented well. When in Wallingford for anything we got to Sakimura. It isn't necessarily our favorite in the State (that honor goes to Noble in Southington) but it is still really very good and we'll be back.

I really can't say enough about the spirit and atmosphere at Sakimura except that the food is just as fun and friendly as the staff! This restaurant is filled with great food and great vibes! The detail in every dish leaves the partaker with the impression the cooks not only care about how their dishes appeal, but truly care that YOU enjoy the special effort. The sushi competes with no other and that's just the beginning of an adventure in dining that challenges any steak house or seafood restaurant with impeccable quality entrees. You'll love the food, you'll love the staff, and you'll love the reasonable prices!

I live In Wallingford and Zaki Mura in Meriden is typically the only place I will go to for great sushi and fun and delicious hibachi! It is always fresh, they always serve a ton of food during hibachi, and are always extremely friendly and entertaining while cooking! Quite the experience!

I came here for my nieces 3rd birthday. We wanted something entertaining for her. We sat at the hibachi section and no one was in the restaurant so it was even better. We got a complimentary scorpion bowl which was good! Ordered grilled squid and beef negatoki for apps. For entree I didn't take a photo of the filet and salmon hibachi. Everything taste fine and typically hibachi. However the staff here is extremely nice, friendly, and welcoming. I don't find Asians restaurants are that way in business. If I lived closer I would def come back here again. The owner was nice since he knew the family.

Oh well I get it but the menu was limited. If I knew I would have picked somewhere else. We ordered stuffed mushrooms that were OK at best had a sausage stuffing that didn't pair with mushrooms. I ordered escargots that looked like they were cut in half on top of a slice of bread in some kind of whipped up sauce NOT good at all. I also ordered the baked stuffed shrimp which were a nightmare. The 3 shrimp were 16-20 shrimp which are cocktail shrimp that were either old, left out for a long period of time or freezer burnt. the meat was mush. The stuffing was just as bad mushy without flavor. Manager came by to check on us I told her the shrimp was mush and not good. She immediately defended saying they go thru a lot of shrimp and impossible to be bad. With that like a fool I went no further. Meanwhile the next day I spent in the bathroom ALL DAY LONG! Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

It is way more spacious than their previous location and nicely decorated. We sat in a nice Modular Half Moon Restaurant Sofa in the back. Felt like I was looking down upon the rest of the guests having dinner. Nice table just felt a bit like we were on display however I still enjoyed as I love the style of these tables. Our waiter I think was new and definitely did not know wine. We asked for a bottle of the Merlot, which he pronounced back to us "Mer-LOT." I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when he left the table. Someone else came and opened the wine for us and when our main server came to check on us, he grazed the side of my glass and freaked, telling us the glasses are $500 each and if he breaks one, it comes out of his paycheck. Ummm what? This stuff we probably should not know! Again, I think he was new, probably not having much experience as a waiter. He definitely needs training on how to pronounce wine! Moving on to the cheese, they used to give you a cheese board with a few different cheeses. It's a bit different now. They give you whipped butter, a few pieces of cheese (last night was Cheddar), roasted red peppers, and whipped goat cheese with a touch of honey on top and some bread. Not sure if this changes/rotates at their new location. We chose not to do the raw bar or appetizer courses (fyi those are extra). For my salad, I chose the Signature Salad (forgot to take a picture of this course). This is where things went downhill for me. I asked for no apples. He said no problem. He did not tell us they ran out of the dried cranberries and caramelized nuts which to me make the whole salad. I used to love this salad at the old location. So, when telling us the specials he did say he "thinks" they had one salmon entree left, but had to check. Restaurants run out of things, and I get it, but take that salad off the menu if you're out of 2 ingredients and the customer asks for no apples. All that we got on our salads was lettuce, gorgonzola and fried potato skins. I feel like I had French fries on top of lettuce. It was awful. Also, I'm the only one that asked for no apples and my boyfriend got the same salad I got with only potato skins and lettuce and gorgonzola so clearly they were running out of things. We then saw other customers getting the same salad lacking main ingredients. For my entree, I got the Heavenly, which was supposed to have a lobster sauce. I couldn't put my finger on what the flavor of the sauce was. It was strange. It wasn't bad, it just didn't really go with the lobster. It had a brown tint to it. The manager came over after we ate and asked us how things were, and I told him about the salad and asked what the flavor in the sauce was. He told us a crab style sauce which made sense. Boyfriend had the filet. He said it wasn't Ruth's Chris good, but it was good. Mashed potatoes were very bland. Presentation was pretty bad. Dessert they get from a third party. I had the flourless chocolate cake which was the best part of the meal. Desserts are where they have improved with the new location. They used to give you petit fours style desserts, and now they give you full size desserts. It was delicious. I really want to like this place more because I like the concept of what they do. I guess on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays the chef creates whatever he'd like for guests for $25 a head. Mystery meals. The manager said that's where the name "Adventures in Eating" comes from. Again, we had come here previously, and I had a problem the last time with the Branzino where the waitress didn't tell me it came as the whole fish. Servers are friendly here, they just aren't top notch. Food is ok.

This was really nice to see Meeting great friends from Southington here for lunch, even though there are other choices, Anthony Jack's is a solid local favorite. Not only for me, but for the many. Today I was in the mood for a burger, and I ordered the $13 burger which arrived cooked medium, along with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. This was all served on a wonderful fluffy soft fresh roll. Chef chose a great roll to serve this burger on. The hamburger patty was not the frozen type cheap stuff; this was fresh ground beef, and hand formed. A quarter pound it seemed, and grilled with a nice charcoal flavor to it. It was very juicy and hit the spot. Also included with crispy well seasoned french fries and a little salad with house dressing. For $13 this was an excellent value. Our server, Brianna, was very very cheerful knowledgeable of the menu, and of course, very attentive to our needs. To say our service was perfect would be an understatement.
