My wife and I love this restaurant, this our second visit, I had posted a review of our first visit, but it only commented on their chicken plates. This time we thought we would try their sushi. We ordered the Citris Roll, that has crab, avocado, and cucumber in the inside, and the outside was salmon, avocado, and citrus flying fish eggs. No imitation crab! It was delicious. You have to try it. The roll is larger than what we have had at other restaurants, so if you are not very proficient with chop sticks, then you will need a fork. The favor of this roll is different, the crab is not imitation, the cucumbers were crunchy, and the salmon was excellent, it melted in our mouths. We also ordered the Rainbow rolls, it is a combination of assorted fish on the outside, and the inside is standard, crab, cucumber and avocado. It, also, was nicely prepared and equally delicious. Alongside the rolls we order their beef teriyaki plate this time. We substituted the tempura for a salad. The plate was presented in a bento box, this compartmentalized the servings, the beef was not as tender as we would have liked but even the best sushi restaurants cannot always live up to tender beef. The rice was fluffy, salad was crisp and cool, the miso soup is awesome. The service has been excellent each time we have visited. The restuarant is quiet and clean. As are their restrooms. Not bad for a small fast casual restaurant.

Our go-to sushi spot in the area! They have extremely friendly service and they offer some great lunch and happy hour specials. The lunch specials include a serving of soup and salad, both very flavorful. They have huge portions so the half rolls are perfect sized, but regular rolls are great for table sharing. If you don't see something on the menu, just ask and they are happy to assist. I love the attention to detail and they way they plate the rolls, such a special touch.

This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was pleasantly surprised. My sister and I were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, which made us feel welcome right away. We hadn't planned on dining in, but when I saw the sushi sign, I suddenly started craving it -- so we decided to give the place a try. It's conveniently located right next to Stater Bros., which makes it an easy stop. They offer lunch specials during certain hours, and for dinner, they also have a separate deal featuring two specialty rolls for $32. I thought the rolls might be on the smaller side, but they were actually large and came with 10 pieces each. Great flavor and presentation, too! The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the staff was very friendly. The interior was clean and nicely set up, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back!

Wow! This has to be one of the best sushi spots in the area. Located in a little spot near the Stater Bros, with ambient lighting. I placed a pickup order on a whim because I was in the area, so I did not have a dine in experience. I ordered the lunch special, 2 half rolls for about $20 and it came with miso soup and a salad! The rolls were HUGE and delicious. The fish was super fresh as well. The workers also seemed very sweet from the little interaction that I had. I'm itching to go back and eat there for a full experience!

We wanted something quick and light to eat. I ordered the Don't Know and the Hot NIGHT rolls. Total was about $35ish. Took 15 min and when we got home, the sushi was plated beautifully and they were a decent size. The sauces were in their own container. We enjoyed it all. I looked forward to dining at their establishment next time. Ordering was quick and easy, the person who took my order was kind.

My wife & I were in the area and we both developed a craving for Japanese cuisine. There were 2 Japanese restaurants in the area. However, we chose Sake Sushi due to their great reviews. We ordered a Dragon Roll, an order of Saba Sushi and a lunch plate with Teriyaki beef & deep fried calamari. The lunch plate included a small salad and miso soup. Normally I can finish a whole Dragon roll in one sitting but Sake Sushi is serving up Ginormous rolls! The Unagi was grilled perfectly and the Saba were so fresh, it was sweet! Domo Arigato! The calamari was crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside. The beef was tender as well, with lots of flavor. Highly recommend trying Sake Sushi, if you've never been. In the end, we left with full bellies and a craving for more. Sake Sushi, you've won our hearts (and taste buds).

The food is always fast, the servers are always very kind. The value is insane! The dinner or lunch specials come with so much food and every roll is so delicious and absolutely massive. The half rolls might as well be full rolls with how large they are. Absolutely love this place and leave happy every time.

Very comfortable atmosphere. Service is top notch and there's plenty of parking. Our first time ... perhaps someone could easily drive by and miss it, I didn't, I'm just saying tho ... Our appetizer, Shrimp tempura, was really good. Light and crispy, It could be my imagination but, I could taste a little "Sake" which, is a great thing. I mean, what's the name of this restaurant?? My wife liked her dinner combo of garlic chicken and California roll (which is her favorite roll) I absolutely recommend the Chirashi bowl. Of course, not only a great selection of fresh fish but, it's the rice, the rice is sooo good! In fact, I ordered a bowl to go, too :) I personally would stick to ordering the fresh items on the menu and the specials of the day.

Sake Sushi is by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever been too. I'm 67 and I have enjoyed sushi for many years, so I have much to compare too. The food here is always fresh, tasty and well presented. Chef Andy has spectacular specials that he makes. The sashimi is the freshest and tastiest as well. Quality is not there. Price is high. If you have no other option, I guess this place will do, but freshness and quality of fish is not there. We eat sushi once a week and tried this place for the first time and will not return. I'm not sure why others gave this place 5 stars, that's absolutely absurd. read more

Really surprised how this place had so many good reviews. Our rolls were so stuffed with rice they became sushi burritos. They were terrible, you would only taste half the ingredients at a time because you couldn't possibly bite the entire roll. I also didn't like how the chefs left the sushi fridge slider open at all times to reach in quicker, that means their sushi is not staying at a level temperature at all times. I personally don't want raw fish that's fluctuated temperatures all day. Talk about bacteria breeding grounds. As for decor, the place is sad looking, the lighting is uninviting, the tables are old and and mix between Dennys and a cafeteria. The vibe just isn't there for me and the food drove us away quickly after only 1 roll. read more

No question that saké sushi has very fresh ingredients and is the very best sushi restaurant/bar in our area. They give you a lot of food for the price. We have eaten at this restaurant over a hundred times because it is two minutes from our home and we have never been let down even once. read more

I work right next to this place and I miss being able to hop on over for their lunch special. Staff is super friendly and they make excellent sushi. Can't wait for them to open back up for full service. In the meantime, they're to-go packages are delicious as well. read more

Nice experience - got there on a Friday before dinner started and sat at the bar alone. As I am the only sushi eater in my family and had a craving. Greeted by friendly faces- enjoyed house salad which was HUGE and very very delicious- garlic edamame - and 2 rolls- I had 2 rolls that are always my favorites - some rendition of an albacore delight roll and some baked heavenly salmon scallop roll. Everything was delicious. Came with an appetite left with a full stomach and a box for a second round! Nice and friendly staff. Thank you so much! read more

I've been to a million sushi places and was turned onto this one buy a friend. Who usually go to all the big names in the area and after trying out this place I can tell you there is definitely a difference in the quality of fish you are ordering. The Fisher tasted so good I almost thought there was something wrong with the place because it was so much different than everywhere else we've ever been going. Come to find out they use only the highest quality fish here and the freshest fish. They also do in-home parties which we also had and it was an amazing experience. The owner, Andy, his working most nights so it is definitely the smaller, higher-quality type of establishment. If you want good sushi go no further than Sake sushi! read more

The food was good, the service not so much. We had to ask for wasabi than extra because there was only 1tsp. The rolls weren't rolled right they fell apart when touched and since no personal plates were provided a lot of sushi was lost to the table and couldn't be eaten. Won't be back . read more

After a few months of not coming back, we decided to come back since it had been a while and I wanted sushi for my birthday. We noticed they hired new waiting staff and the lady that served us prior seems to have been dismissed. Every server we have had since we started coming back have been excellent: they have been kind, courteous and helpful. My only complaint is that it seems that there is usually only one server during any given shift. Not to knock on the hard work of the servers, it just seems like they could benefit from having at least two servers on the floor rather than overloading one. read more

This place has turned around greatly in the last couple years. I now come here a couple times a month and have begun allowing the chef or waitress to choose which rolls I get. The fish selection is typically better than most and I rarely find myself smothering the taste in the typical soy/wasabi paste mixture I used to. Over the last few visits I have not been let down! A quick note I do not enjoy fried or baked rolls very as much as fresh rolls, so my review mainly applies to the fresh rolls. I have had a couple baked and they have been enjoyable, but again I would prefer fresh. Smells great and the atmosphere is a little different but pleasant. They don't have enough space in the kitchen so the soda/ice machine is out in the open with the server prep station. This is a great lunch stop and they have a couple differs lunch specials that are good deals. No all you can eat, which I believe is a good thing. Hope you get a chance to enjoy. read more

I was treated to a very good lunch with my son today at Sake. It was first time for me there and it was delicious and a great bargain for two. The rolls were not small full of rice they were very filling! I enjoyed the salad -soup was ok not so tasty but I have been sick and my taste buds are still waiting to get back to normal. I truly enjoyed the popcorn lobster on rolls and spicy tuna roll. My son devoured the Royal Tiger roll and spicy Albacore roll. Chef and service was good, sent out a little dessert roll of banana and avocado? Who knew dessert can be made with sushi. Yummy we'll be back again soon... try it you will like it. read more

The food here is delicious. I have eaten sushi at many of the local sushi restaurants around and can easily say that the quality and size are worth the cost. My one and only gripe is that the service is slow. There seems to only be one server. It's a small place but one person serving, charging is not enough, especially when things get busy. Was worth a try, we will be back. read more

I don't care what the lone long winded disgruntled 1Star reviewer writes, this place is the bomb dot com. The staff is great, the Sushi is tasty and thats all that matters. Usually when I see someone who writes some long ass self righteous review with a 1 star rating I automatically wonder how small their genitalia must be to have to over compensate so hard with such a low star rating over NOTHING. I can see giving a 3 star rating, but a 1??? Really guy??? Typical Blue Falcon buddy fuckery I say.... Back to Sake Sushi. The Sushi is great. The owner is friendly, remembers my name and knows my favorite rolls. What more can you ask for? Its a local business and I LOVE my small town, so i prefer to spend my money here. read more

My wife and I have been here several times, and we have found the service consistently good, the serving sizes are large, and the selection is delightful. Today while we were there, some lady decided to make a big scene over some innocuous mistake on her order, and it was frankly unnerving and off-putting. The lady was making accusations that the staff was "lying" (why would that be a viable strategy for a server?!?!) and she clearly wanted to make the situation as uncomfortable for the staff as possible to get things for free, so I really wanted to come here and talk about how professionally the staff de-escalated the situation despite this boorishly-loud moron making a scene. The waitress never lost her cool despite dealing with a completely unreasonable rube making accusations at her, and one of the chefs came to sit at the table and cool this "lady" down. The staff here deserves props for not only providing great service and great food, but for handling difficult people ON TOP OF their already great work. The customer is NOT always right. We will be back many times. Go for great food in generous portions. My favorite roll of the night was the Refreshing Roll. We like to try different rolls every time we go, and we have never been disappointed. There is another sushi restaurant a stone's-throw from this one with maybe a nicer atmosphere, but we choose this one instead. This restaurant deserves your business. read more

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

Don't get me wrong, I ate everything they served me, and it was all right. It just didn't WOW me. The restaurant is clean and looks nice. The service was good and my food was okay. There were a few minor things that annoyed me, but isn't it the little things that differentiate places that are great versus ones that are just good or okay? I ordered a diet coke, and they had no diet available. The miso soup (not pictured) that came with the meal was piping hot, but the flavor was not as good as others I have had. When they brought my chicken bento box, which included California Roll, there was no wasabi or ginger. I had to ask the waitress for wasabi, and then she said, "You want wasabi?" as if that was something unusual. Finally, my favorite sushi places have a list of items to choose from for their bento box. They may list 8 or 10 items and ask you to pick 2 or 3. At my other places I might choose, chicken and beef and a spicy tuna roll (vs California roll). Then you get those plus the soup, salad, etc. At Yoshiharu Ramen, it is a set list of items. You only get to pick a meat in the bento box (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, etc.) Their other sushi or ramen may be terrific. So if you are nearby and want sushi or ramen, don't let me dissuade you. The reason I take the time to write a detailed review is so readers can understand MY criteria and why for me, this restaurant is okay, just not a 4 or 5 on my chart.

I have heard this restaurant from my friends and so my boyfriend and I went to this place today for lunch and thought of ordering all you can eat sushi since we haven't had anything since we woke up today. We thought they have all you can eat sushi but they don't offer that. So we decided to order from lunch menu and regular menu. We tried all the stuff we ordered: tiger rolls, 50/50, sashimi, just to name the few. The food presentation were great and the service too! I was very impressed by the creativity and hefty portion sizes of their rolls, which veers on almost two rolls in one (You will NOT be able to find portion sizes of this generosity in the city, desafortunadamente). I was so stuffed before I even finished half of our first roll! We ordered the rainbow and protein roll. I especially enjoyed the protein roll because it was so beautiful to look at and even more delicious to eat. There's a bit of the tempura crunch at the end, very fresh albacore fish inside. This is one of my favorite sushi places in the riverside county. I would eat here more often if it was closer to me! The sashimi is always super fresh!
