Really enjoy the sushi rolls but stay clear of the crab salad. Way over priced, small and underwhelming. We picked up last night and the fried seaweed was stale (usually nice and crispy) and also the shrimp tempura tasted like it was sitting out all day and then used it for our sushi roll. I have had some good experiences with delivery here so I was surprised my carry out quality was significantly worse than it usually is. The woman at check out also gave me a hard time for asking for another small little container of wasabi- she said one per order but most places will give you one per roll... I purchased 3 rolls and couldn't believe she gave me a hard time over this. Best rolls here in my opinion are the black hawk roll and the weeds roll. Easy and convenient location. read more

On March 24th, hubby and I were in the mood for sushi, so we headed out to Key Biscayne to eat at Sake Room a few steps from Tutto Pizza & Pasta. It's a quaint sushi bistro with a cozy atmosphere. Tatiana, our Bulgarian server welcomed us warmly, explained the specials & answered all our questions. I ordered the Mediterranean Rolls paired with a glass of Malbec. Hubby ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts as the appetizer, the steak strips to roast on a heated stone and paired it with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The ginger sauce that came with the steak, accented the texture of both the strips and my shrimp rolls. For dessert, we shared their popular Nutella almond rolls, which made our taste buds jump with joy! The cappuccino & cortadito completed our delicious Asian meal. This is the worst sushi I have ever tried. Should have opted to pick up food from seven eleven. I am sure I would have enjoyed it more than the bland rice I ate. I hate leaving bad restaurants review but this people are pushing it as there are not many restaurants around and affluent clients. Really aggravating. Living on the key sucks for that reason. read more

Avoid this place if you can. Very overpriced for bad sushi. I ordered a few rolls and a tuna tower appetizer. The tuna appetizer is mostly rice with very little tuna on top and it cost $16.99. And some of the rice is hard as rock (either uncooked or been sitting in the fridge forever). The fish in the rolls are very chintzy too and most of their rolls are over $15. I'm from New York City and I'm used to overpriced restaurants but this place is something else. I also ordered a chicken Katsu. The meat was so dry and it feels like leftover from three days ago. Unfortunately there are not that many sushi restaurants on the island but I'd still avoid this place at all cost!! read more

Soooo delicious! We ordered the tuna tower, tuna tatami, and the chicken katzu with salad. Everything tasted delicious and was beautifully presented. The waiter was nice but a bit hard to communicate with her (her English was not that good). The service was good. The green tea was really good and was brought to me with crushed ice. It's a new restaurant, so it's very clean and has great air conditioning. Definitely recommend! read more

Way too expensive!!! The quality of the food and flavors are very poor! Fish doesn't taste fresh and the chef is not even asian so why are prices so high for just regular dishes? Small place, almost looks like a fast food or sub joint when you walk up. Convenient location, wide menu, but prices are a bit high and the house music just doesn't fit. Food is good, as is service. They don't like to take cash and couldn't even break a $10 bill, which is weird but not a deal breaker. There's better sushi not far away. read more

Ordered a $20 roll that on the menu looked amazing "Mexican Roll" and when I got it it just looked like one mass of deep fried fish batter- in between rice. Delicious, delicious food! Had a wonderful meal last night at the Sake Room. Our family of four had dinner with 2 old friends, really great experience. We had an array of food starting with appetizers, sashimi and rolls, and somehow managed to have room for dessert. Used to be our family's go-to spot on the weekends.... Delicious food, though poor service is a turnoff. We walked in on a Saturday, just as we did one week ago, and were told there were no tables available--despite our visual confirmation to the contrary. I was in the area and my daughter niece wanted to go for some sushi. We decided to stop and give this place a try. The location is surrounded by several other restaurants that all seemed to have a great menus but being that it's summer time and we normally are in the Key Biscayne area a lot we agreed to giving Sake Room a try. The place is a cute little set up. The young lady that first greeted us seemed very polite and then a young man approached us to hand us our menu. After looking at the menu we placed our order and looked forward to enjoying a few rolls. After the young man walked away and placed the ordered I happened to glance to my right and noticed smoke coming out from the area he was standing. Once again I turned and there he was smoking a vapor. Not sure if this is the norm now but I wasn't going to sit in a restaurant with the girls and pay for someone to smoke a vapor around me. I wouldn't eat in the same place a chef or a server smokes why should it be ok for me to pay where a server is smoking a vapor. One thing is for sure I had to make a decision and walk away as much as the girls wanted to eat there I simply couldn't do it. Very unprofessional for a restaurant. read more

Terrible service! DON'T EVER ORDER IF YOU HAVE A PARTY! I ordered and payed a day in advance a boat of sushi for my birthday party, they called me 10 minutes before the scheduled delivery to let me know that the boat was not available anymore and delivered the sushi in an ugly plastic tray! I don't usually post reviews, but I was truly appalled at the quality of the food, the cleanliness and he service. Firstly, I saw a waitress vaping in the restaurant. She wasn't hiding, just standing by the food vaping. Secondly, I saw a piece of sushi on the floor. Looks like it was there for a few days. And there were numerous flies around and the door was closed. The chefs had to stop cooking so they could use the electric fly swatter. They did this as we were eating. Lastly, the service was subpar. I asked for hot water and never received it. I think at minimum, the restaurant needs a health check. read more
