The view is stunning here

The service here has been spectacular, the server is very attentive and sweet. Accommodating to any allergies you have explains the menu.

Excellent experience and quality food! I enjoyed my birthday celebration here and I felt incredibly special despite it being on a busy Mother's Day weekend. They handed out roses, gave me a sparkling dessert and the food was fantastic. This is so far my 10/10 spot. I had the braised short rib with veggie fried rice and it was DELICIOUS! I was afraid the short rib would be chewy because it already came sliced but WOW was I surprised. It just melted off my fork. I definitely will be back again

Softshell Crab sushi roll

We sat outside which was nice, but the tables were a bit awkwardly placed. Overall the service was very good and the food came out it's a good speed and in a nice order since they bring the items out once ready in waves. Highlights: the softshell sushi roll was great as were the wagyu dumplings. Lowlights: the lamb was supposed to come out as medium but it was very, very well done. They serve their entrees to the table over a flame dish so it basically just keeps cooking your meat once it is delivered which is just a recipe for disaster as it will naturally overcook it. I also thought the spicy edamame sounded good but the glaze was a bit thick and messy to eat. ...but the sushi ice cream. 100/10! MUST ORDER.

I absolutely love this spot. I took my daughter here for her birthday. We had reservations and were seated immediately. My favorite dish was the Branzino , it was so good, perfectly made, and very fresh. The service was great, and since it was her birthday, they surprised her with a free dessert. The ice cream was amazing , a Rice Krispie treat wrapped in ice cream. When I tell you I literally drooled... it was that good. We sat outside, and the ambience was so nice. The patio faces the Fort Lauderdale beach, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great date-night or special-occasion spot. Highly recommend!

We tried a little bit of everything. To drink, we had the Shikoku Margarita and the Golden Bee, and we started with the Duck Bao Buns. For our entrees, I ordered the Spicy Hotate Maki Roll and the Spicy Yellowtail Roll, and my boyfriend had the Chilean Seabass. The Spicy Hotate Maki was unreal! I had never tried scallop sushi before, and it was such a pleasant surprise. We finished with the Ube Cheesecake for dessert, do it! The service was fast, the drinks were great, and the restaurant itself is lovely with gorgeous beach views and a fantastic atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday night with a reservation, which felt necessary since the place was packed. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and our server, Yujeong, was delightful. We will definitely be back!

We had an EXCELLENT evening at Takato. All the sushi and bites were superb! The seaweed salad in particular was especially divine; a little bit floral and earthy. The scallop nigiri was also of note. Our server was great as well; he made a number of good recommendations. Overall, a wonderful sushi spot in FLL

I had dinner at Takato a couple of nights ago, and it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is beautiful inside and has a stunning patio with ocean views, which is where we sat. We started off with some drinks, and I ordered a lychee martini that was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed it. For appetizers, we had a rice dish topped with salmon--I don't remember the exact name, but it was delicious. Next, we tried the shrimp tempura rolls, which are my favorite type of sushi, and they tasted amazing. The sauce on top added the perfect touch of flavor. We finished with grilled fish that was perfectly seasoned, light, and flavorful. Overall, everything from the food to the atmosphere and service made for such a great dining experience.

Food, service, ambience all 5 ! I take my friends and family to this beautiful place for special occasions. I highly recommend this top-notch water-front restaurant to everyone.

The oysters were pretty good, and I enjoyed the topping on them. I can't recall exactly which nigiri pieces I ordered, but they tasted fresh. The nigiri with the uni (pictured) was a burst of different flavors--I expected to love it, but I didn't. I'm not a fan of the texture of the tuna; it tasted mushy. Uni in general isn't my favorite, but I gave it another try and found it had a strange, very fishy aftertaste. The torched salmon nigiri with caviar and truffle was surprisingly underwhelming, especially since I usually love both caviar and fresh truffle. The spare ribs were slightly overdone, though the sauce was tasty. The fried rice was well-flavored--not the best I've had, but it did the job. Service was good; our server was attentive, which left me satisfied.

Takato is hands down my favorite spot on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The food, the view, the vibes -- everything is on point. The restaurant has its own unique style, and it just feels different (in the best way). The menu has something for everyone -- whether you're into sushi, small plates, or something more filling, you'll find something you love. Everything is super fresh and full of flavor. The service is always great, but Helen takes it to the next level. She really goes out of her way to make your experience special. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Tell them Dame sent you :) (I'm kidding -- they don't know me like that).

Jasmine tea the right way....

Craved sushi tonight and Takato didn't disappoint. Some of the freshest, cleanest fish and seafood you can get in the area. Great for date night or just because.... Portions are just right. Great ambiance and with it being right across from the beach, it's a great local spot for fine Japanese food!

Branzino

We came here a while back and the main thing that brought me back was the hot stone A5 wagyu. It is a must! We had Vinny as our server and he was fantastic, recommendations were on point! Please order the shrimp fried rice with the A5, we upgraded to 4 ounces for a little bit more and it was so worth it. We also got the branzino which could have used a little salt however the skin was so delicious by itself; very crispy! For something to pick at the spicy edamame were delicious and for dessert you have to get the sushi ice cream, I said I wouldn't order it, but it was one of the best desserts I've ever had! Will def be back for this exact order! One negative: DO NOT order off the specialty drink menu if you don't want a "pre batched" drink, aka juice. For a high end restaurant, this is a no no!

According to their Instagram page, "Come and join us for Happy Hour! Monday- Thursday 4PM-6PM!"

Does this restaurant take Covid guidelines seriously by spacing out the tables & not seating people close together?

They certainly do! I was very impressed. Everyone wore masks, they even had available if you forgot yours. Tables were far apart. Lovely experience. Wonderful food!!!

Because it was my birthday, we opted for the premium menu. Honestly, we tried a variety of meats and although they were all good, when we go back, I'd probably just order the galbi. We did come back months later and this time, for my husband's birthday lunch after we played golf. His brother and dad were also with us and we tried their AYCE Korean fried chicken. AYCE for $15.99, but the catch is you have to order a drink. So, basically, more like $20. Chicken was good and we tried different flavors: soy garlic, spicy, cheese, honey (powder), and plain. The honey was my favorite, but to each their own! We tried to eat as much as we could to get our money's worth, but in the end--in my opinion--it's worth just getting it as an order, which is practically the same price and no requirement to order a drink. Overall, I would go back for kbbq... we have a good amount of kbbq spots in the county and of all the ones we've gone to, Hallyu is part of my top 3. Best tip we can give you: order the honey fries!

The Prime K BBQ family seems like truly genuine people. You should check it out to support their business! As far as the taste goes, it was not to our expectation. The waitress was on her phone the whole time but when we got her attention, she was efficient. Our seafood pancake was delicious. I loved how it came on a cast iron plate so it stayed hot and crispy. The middle of the pancake could've cooked a little more, the flour and the seafood were both a bit squishy. The banchan were great, the spicy radish and kimchi were my favorite. My husband got the spicy squid and added pork belly for +$10 and he loved it. It wasn't super spicy so I could still eat it. More sweet spicy than fire. My Galbi Tang was rich and full of umami. The ribs were a little overcooked and hard to get off the bones. The flavor was good though. There was plenty of glass noodles, thin radish slices, egg and big pieces of scallions in the broth. Will be back for more.

First of all, it is owned and run by a Korean couple, meaning you'll get served by the wife of the chef, and the chef will be the one preparing the dishes inside the kitchen. He even brought our our LA Galbi. What makes this place different is the way they present the food; there are not hot grills on the table, which I am all for. NO ONE has time to leave dinner smelling like Korean BBQ, and why risk burning your own food when the can do it perfectly in the kitchen. The seafood pancake came on a sizzling hot pan, and the bottom was a little toasty adding unbelievable texture. I have never had this anywhere before, but it was life changing. The LA Galbi was also so incredibly tender, and in a really great amount. For the portion and taste, I have Never had it so good before, ever. These short ribs were do tender and so flavorful...and so bountiful too! Most places give you a small portion, and yes...it's $36.00 but so well worth it. A definite must try. I'll be trying the other Galbi's on the menu very soon to see the difference. My new favorite Korean BBQ place for all the reasons you read about. You don't need to stuff yourself at an AYCE because you'll spend less here. This amount for for 7 people and we were all full afterwards. Really a hidden gem!

It was my first time trying this dish. The noodles themselves I enjoyed a lot -- kinda slippery, nice chew. The black bean sauce was very umami and I could easily see this being a comfort food to some. The stars here were really the grilled meats, and this place is unique in that they have charcoal grills. We ordered two of the marinated Kalbi, short ribs, because everyone loved it so much. The marinated chicken was good but would probably skip it next time for more Kalbi. The bulgogi was delicious and would definitely get that again. All of the bonchon, little side dishes, were great too! As far as the vibe, I'd say it's pretty casual and family-friendly. The only thing I find a little scary is when they bring out the hot charcoals to the table. That thing is hot and heavy and has to be brought to the table with extreme care. Sorry no pics!
