Service was constant and attentive throughout the entire meal without ever feeling intrusive. What really stood out, though, was how incredibly accommodating they were with our dog. They actually opened the patio early specifically so she could sit outside and eat with us. The staff brought her water, checked on her, and completely pampered her the entire time. They treated her like another guest at the table, which we really appreciated. That level of hospitality is rare. Between the excellent sushi, clean environment, attentive service, and how far the staff went to make sure both we and our dog were comfortable, this was easily a five-star experience. We will absolutely be coming back.

I had such a great experience here that I already know I'll be back!…read more I ordered the chicken katsu curry plate, gangjung, a katsu sando, egg sando, and the strawberry sando, and every single item was delicious. The chicken katsu was the standout~ it was perfectly light and crispy on the outside while staying incredibly juicy on the inside. It had amazing flavor even on its own, but paired with the katsu sauce, it was absolutely next level. The rich curry sauce was also fantastic and went perfectly with the rice, making every bite satisfying. The gangjung was another winner, with a great crispy exterior coated in a sweet, garlicky sauce that kept me coming back for more. I took the katsu sando and egg sando home for later, and I had to finish with the strawberry sando, which was perfectly creamy with fresh, sweet strawberries. It was the ideal way to end the meal. Beyond the food, what really impressed me was the incredible value. The prices were very fair, the portions were generous, and the service was exceptionally warm and friendly. Everything came out quickly and piping hot, which made the experience even better. The also had catchy music playing in the background and it was peaceful in there during lunch time. Whether you're looking for a quick solo meal or a spot to bring friends, this place checks every box. I loved my visit and can't wait to come back. The Shrimp Tempura Plate comes with a variety of tempura-battered items including four shrimp, kabocha (squash), fish, seaweed, and a shishito pepper. On the side, you get a bowl of rice, tempura-battered soft-boiled egg, and dipping sauce that comes with a generous scoop of grated daikon radish. Everything is spot on. The tempura batter is perfectly coated on each item and crispy. I'm usually not a fan of kabocha since it tends to come out mushy. However, here, it's crunchy and delicious. If I had to choose my favorite parts of the meal, they would be the tempura-battered soft-boiled egg and seaweed. If you break the yolk over the rice, it's very satisfying to eat. And the seaweed is crispy like a potato chip. Maybe I haven't been to enough tempura shops, but I think these two items are particularly special. If tempura is not your thing, they do serve other stuff. The sashimi here is nothing to scoff at. I had some sashimi here including the bluefin tuna, salmon, and fatty tuna. The quality of the sashimi is up there with some of the better sushi restaurants in the South Bay. If it's not obvious from my glowing review, I really like this place. Maybe a little addicted. One or two servers passed by but were too preoccupied. We were pretty frustrated at around 8:45PM. At 8:50PM, a server comes up to our table (finally) and asks if we wanted to order anything for last call. I told her we did order but never received it. She was shocked and checked on the order. Turns out, the order was never placed in whatever system they have. As an apology, they gave us free edamame, but still never checked on the table again. Our food came out about 10 minutes later. It was okay. When we finished about 15 minutes after the food came out, I had to go to the main entrance to try to get our check. To no surprise, that came out quickly. Sometimes you crave a quick pasta meal but think your only choice is a sit-down restaurant. Pasta Stories is a fast-casual spot in the Tokyo Central food court. The process is simple: step up to the counter; order and pay on a tablet device; and grab a seat in the food court. They'll call you when your meal is ready. I tried the "Osaka," spaghetti with Wagyu beef meat sauce. The pasta was al dente, and the sauce was flavorful but lighter than most restaurants--less salty, with more subtle flavors. Browsing the menu, you'll find all the meals competitively priced compared to fast-food combos. However, each bowl is made to order and leans more toward scratch cooking than the processed fare you'd get at a fast-food restaurant. One last thing: I tend to avoid ordering pasta to go because if the kitchen isn't careful, ithe pasta keeps cooking and soaking up moisture during the commute. That's not a problem here. When they know it's a takeout order, they adjust their cooking and package the pasta nicely. The bottom line is you won't end up with soggy pasta when you get home.

Osaka was not bad, but it was not my favorite flavor profile. Each portion was just right so don't expect any leftovers to bring back home. *** Honestly I can see myself revisiting here and cycling through their menu. Mix and match, get crazy with it, there are no wrong answers. The sesame green onions were definitely a highlight. The garlic butter from the garlic rice was poured onto our chicken; what's not to like? The price is probably my biggest stumbling block.
