Friendly and quick service. Baked oatmeal was delicious. Also enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Took the advice from another yelper to get the hashbrowns with onions because food was a bit bland and I would agree. Has a hometown charm and lots of locals eating breakfast there. Locals were very friendly. As you sat and listened to the conversations around you, you felt like you were part of the town.

I actually drove past and ended up walking back half a mile. This clock is right out front. Good landmark.

The first place I picked for breakfast (because they were closer to the hotel) was closed. This was Fate, steering me to a better thing. I actually drove right past this restaurant because I wasn't expecting it to be in a restored Victorian house. It's nice in here; a little crowded- I got the last table- filled with families just out of church. It's warm here, and comfortable, and sounds happy. The local art on the walls is a nice touch; not the corporate crap one usually sees. In a restaurant where the coffee mugs advertise local businesses, I have yet to be disappointed with the coffee. Theirs is bright, bold, and fresh. I sucked it down like it was the antidote for daylight savings time, which it technically is. I was disappointed not to see scrapple on the menu- this IS Pennsylvania, after all. After scanning the menu, which all looked delicious, I opted for a mushroom omelette with Swiss cheese, Rye toast, and hash browns with onions. It was delivered to my table in about 5 minutes! The omelette was incredible. Fluffy, absolutely stuffed with fresh mushrooms and melty cheese. It's obvious that the hash browns are homemade fresh, not frozen. The potatoes were fluffy as the middle of the best French fry you ever had, and the onions were almost al dente. The toast could have been a little more toasted, but it was delicious. It was a perfect amount of food; I am sated, but not stuffed. The waitresses are very friendly and courteous. I hardly had time for a sip of coffee before one of another offered to top it up. And the best part? All of this for- are you sitting down? Nine dollars and forty-eight cents! Not even ten bucks! Well, until I add the tip. But still, how many places can you eat like this for so little? I drive through Harrisburg a couple of times a year, and will definitely be making the short trip off the highway to eat here again!

This place right here is heaven on earth! Here it is my first time on this side of PA. And I haven't had a home cooked meal in a while. STR gave me exactly what I was craving ! The food was a amazing and the service was fast polite and more! They give you that home treatment ! Pancakes are so fluffy and soft it's like biting a cloud. I hope I stop back through here in my travels and hope to see you there!

Best breakfast I have had in a while. The food tasted fresh and great. The service was also very good and welcoming. I will be coming back for breakfast here and recommend it to others.

The actual restaurant is on the left of this house. Decided to keep the pic bc it looks cool.

This restaurant looks like a restored house to a small eat in restaurant. It probably seats may 35-40 ppl, may less. Doesn't look very fancy on the outside nor inside but my mother says they're very busy on Sundays, so people actually like to eat here despite its appearance. The food was good! I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and it was very delicious. They even cut it on half for me. Their hash brown with onions was very good, not doused in grease and it was great portion. I wanted to try their pancakes and so I ordered one for my mom and I to share. Let me tell you guys, the pancake smelled like it was made from home, it smelled like what pancakes are supposed to smell like. Buttery, and sweet...like cake!! It was cooked to perfection and it was great just the way it was, plain with butter and syrup...no fruit, no whipped cream. I read in some reviews how the service was awful here, fortunately, our service was great. Our coffee was topped off, often and our food was cooked fast and efficiently. I will def be back to eat here!!

St Thomas restaurant is located right in the Linglestown square. Parking is around the back so you can enter in the back or if you park on the street you can enter in the front. It's a seat yourself establishment where locals frequent and everyone is friendly and welcoming. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner but I usually come for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable! Their coffee is fresh and hot and the food is consistent. One thing I enjoy is that you can get shredded hash browns or sliced home fried potatoes. The potatoes are what make or break a breakfast plate for me and these are always cooked perfectly! No additional salt needed! Service is friendly but there's usually only one server. It's fine, you can get up and pay your bill and she's only a wave and a smile away if you need a refill. This is definitely my go to breakfast spot!

Saint Thomas Restaurant is located on the square in Linglestown, Pa. My wife and I went today after she finished work. There was a large sign out front that advertised the specials that day. We had a chicken shish-kabob, which was laid over a bed of small rice. Ther was a standard portion of chicken, green peppers and onions. A salad w/ greek dressing, the cashier (a girl about 18 years old) took our the cucumber, onion, head of lettuce and tomato and cut it all up right in front of us. and some french fries (which tasted like they need to be cooked a tad more), all for only 9.95. The interior of the restaurant was very clean, it had a fresh look to it. There were about 14 tables, all with silverwear, napkins, salt and pepper lined up. The menu had many traditional american items on it. It also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a family, in the back conversing about something in a foreign language. The waitress took our order after we perused through the menu, and then one of the gentlemen in the back came up to cook our food, he said the are Lebanese. (Also they do not serve pork products) Accepts Visa, MC, discover and has local delivery of 15 dollars or more. Open for about 4 months now. Limited Parking in the front.

When I realized I'd be just minutes away late Friday afternoon on one of the nicest days of the year so far, it felt like the perfect time to finally give it a shot. Friday afternoon, 74°, end of a long work week...this absolutely screamed "patio dinner," and Greystone delivered on that front! I arrived around 4:45pm and asked for patio seating, and was seated at a great table in full sun. The vibe was exactly what I was hoping for -- calm, quiet, and a really beautiful setting. When I got there, the patio was about one-third full, but by the time I left around 5:30pm, it had nearly emptied out. That said, I could definitely see this being a go-to spot when the weather is nice, so reservations are probably a smart move if you're aiming for patio seating. For my meal, I went with the shrimp salad wrap with a Caesar salad and a Diet soda. On paper, it sounded like a solid, light dinner option. In reality...it didn't quite hit for me. The shrimp salad was very mayo-heavy with minimal seasoning, and it was loaded with large chunks of celery (like...a lot of celery). The menu also indicated the wrap would include tomato but it didn't. The shrimp were left whole, which made it tough to eat as a wrap -- I ended up just picking out and eating the shrimp and leaving most of the wrap behind...along with what felt like an entire stalk of celery. Not exactly what I had in mind. Service also missed the mark a bit. My server checked in shortly after the food was delivered, but then disappeared for quite a while. I finished eating and waited about 20 minutes for my check, with both my Diet soda and water empty and no refill in sight before she eventually came back. My total came to $24.30 before tip, which put the experience right around $30 for one person, one cold wrap, one side salad and a Diet soda -- and for that price point, I was expecting something a little more elevated, both in food and service. Greystone definitely has the look of an upscale, country club-style dining experience. The space is beautiful, especially the patio, and the overall atmosphere is appealing. But right now, it feels like the execution isn't quite matching the vision. The food lacked that "oh my god this is GOOD" factor, and the service didn't support the price point. Also worth noting -- a few small maintenance details stood out, like a broken toilet paper dispenser laying in pieces in the women's restroom and loose floor tiles near the bar that shift when you step on them. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable in a space aiming for a more polished experience. Overall, Greystone is a great spot for the vibes -- especially on a sunny day -- but the food and service didn't quite live up to expectations for me. I'd come back for the patio, but I'd probably manage expectations (and maybe try something different on the menu next time).

My husband who is not as picky as I, was even having a hard time with the quality of the food. Everything that we ordered was clearly purchased from a frozen food store; chicken cordon blue, processed and previously frozen, mozzarella sticks (which typically are previously frozen), tasted like they were cooked in oil that has not been changed in ages, boxed mashed potatoes, broccoli tasted like (and had the texture) as if it had been on a steam table all day.

We used to come here when it was Gordons and I think we've been here before it was that. Neither one blew my hair off but Gordon's was okay for a breakfast and even some lunch options weren't too bad. Enough about them this is a new owner/manager and I had high hopes. So there appears to be some construction that started before this new management but it doesn't appear to be finished so the layout is kind of weird. When we came in we were greeted by a friendly woman who wished us a Merry Christmas and let us know of the buffet and the "Jewelry show" which was really a woman displaying her Paparrazi jewelry to sell. This isn't a "show" this is a MLM person trying to sell her wares. Not a show. Anyway we sat near the buffet and thought we'd give it a try. It was a bunch of pans with sterno underneath and everytime you lifted a lid water poured from it. So everything was soggy and water logged. I craved homefries the most and they were literally sitting in water. Oh man. They also had floppy waffles and overcooked meats floating. There was some cut up cake that was stale from sitting out and cut up fruit that was browned from sitting out. Just not appealing. So I ordered off the menu. The breakfast I got was just meh. Nothing horrible but definitely not good. It appeared that they tried to refill the food on the buffet while we were there and maybe that would have been the only way to get it not waterlogged. The service was friendly enough but the restaurant felt cold inside and they were blasting C-Span which wasn't like a cozy Sunday morning breakfast feeling. Also the servers were kind of sitting by the register between working so the overall vibe was just odd. There's so many restaurants to choose from this was just a waste of time for me. I won't go back unless I have confirmation that things have improved.
