This place is a great waterfront spot with awesome service and great views. The food is not spectacular but it is good and it's not cheap but in line for waterfront restaurants. Valet parking is convenient and they honored our reservation right on time. Definitely going back. read more

What a nice place to have dinner. It was swamped for a Saturday night and we had to wait a little bit before our table was ready. One of our friends celebrated his 40th birthday (can't believe he's already over the hill) tonight and it turned out very nice. They brought out a fruit and cheese platter, which consisted of crackers with different kind of cheeses and diced ham. The fruits were strawberries (my fav!), cantelope, and grapes. Since there was 20 of us, they gave the host a package deal, which the guests had a choice of ceasar or house salad and sirloin, salmon, or tuna for the entree. I got the sirloin and it was the best choice. I don't like seafood, so it made it even more better ;) It was cooked just how I liked it and I didn't have to tell the waiter well done. I wasn't sure if they cooked it like that for everyone. It was odd since the waiter didn't ask us how we wanted it cooked and we didn't realize it until after we got our food. No complaints though ;) It came with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The kitchen and staff did an excellent job with handling the party and making sure the party went smoothly. The marina view is very pretty as well. Be sure to check it out during the day when the dolphins are pulling off a show ;) read more

This is a nice place to be from the location on the water. Friendly service, a great bar, and some really good food. My personal standouts are the crunchy reuben or the tunawrap for lunch and the most amazing stuffed portobello in a beurre blanc sauce for dinner or bar dining. read more

Wasn't as expected for first time visit, best part of the restaurant is the view. The menu is very limited during lunch and the service is a bit slow. Had asked our waiter for waters with lemon, when we had received them we had no lemons and there was little bugs in our drinks. Showed the waiter the bugs and sent back the water to only receive another glass of water with little bugs still in it. read more

We gook a party of 6 to Sailors on Tuesday night. Everything was great. This time of year, no reservation was needed. Between all of us, we tried appetizers - shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushroom caps, and crabcake stuffed mushroom. They were all excellent. Our picky-eater 10 year old loved the scallops au gratin. Two of us had the shrimp and scallop pesto and it was delicious! The mood is always nice in there, being on the marina, it's a great place to take friends and family. This was our second time there, and we will defiantly go back. read more

This is clearly the place to be on a Friday night in Stuart. The bar scene was alive and friendly. The bartenders were cordial, efficient and on top of their game. And, the bar menu was excellent -- soup and two appetizers were just right for dinner (Manhattan clam chowder and two crab cakes.) The prices are a little high, but value was delivered. read more

Awesome dinner. We had reservations for 7 @ 7:00. When the reservations were made we were told they only had inside tables available but when we arrived they were able to seat us outside. It was a lovely night and they had a great performer strumming and single tunes from our younger years. We had out of town business guests, and a new employee with us for this dinner and it was the perfect location. Dinner took a while because we were talking a lot and this delayed our ordering and dining. Our waitress was fantastic and funny. We had a wide variety of food choices but everyone agreed it was delicious. I went with chicken pasta carbonara which was huge, in fact all of the meals were large. Someone else was paying so I prefer to stay on the cheaper side of the menu. I will go back on another cool night. read more

The crab cakes are the best I've ever had. Big chunks of crab and no shells!!! Right on the marina so lots of boats to watch. After three the bar outside opens up and hay hour starts at 3:30. Recommended!!! read more

Since my first review they have changed their menu. Our favorites, the ahi tuna appetizer and osso buco are off the menu. This place moves down on our list. We plan to go but probably less often. read more

My friend brought me here or I might not gave found it. The food was wonderful, the waitress courteous and efficient and the portions were huge. I brought half of my lunch home and had it for supper. Definitely a must when you're in the south Florida coast area!!! read more

I love the location, the view, the decor. The food is fair and overpriced, but I guess it's high because the rent has to be. I like the outside bar the best. Inside is pretty, and good for a date, and the service is good, but the food falls short, especially for the price. read more

Nice place on the water, great drinks. The food was really good, but VERY pricy ~ for one drink, a beer, and two lower priced meals, our tab was still $100. They had a live band playing, an area for dancing. It's mostly an older crowd, but still a nice time. The parking is valet only, unless you park under the bridge and walk. For a date night, I would recommend if you don't mind dropping some money. read more

The atmosphere was quiet and elegant. Sat outside at the docks looking at the yachts. Our server was very accommodating including getting a crab cake for an appetizer when it was on the menu only as a sandwich. A top notch crab cake. Not too moist and spicy. Very well put together. We keep trying Sailors Return but continue to be disappointed. Great view, very average food. More of a lunch spot or apps/drinks, not worth the time for dinner unfortunately. Last visit, had to send Sailors Bread back because of hairs (multiple) in the food. Really unacceptable for food to leave the kitchen in such poor shape. Grouper special was average, kids meal were fine for Sysco chicken fingers. read more

We ate here on 2/19/12. We were a party of six. We had reservations and were quickly shown to our table. The waitress came over and took our drink order and then came back and took our order. That was the last time we saw the waitress. We never received any bread or drink refills. The food arrived via the kitchen staff who had no idea who ordered what. One of the people with us ordered the Prime Rib special The waitress said that it was prime rib and it was ordered from the waitress as the prime rib special. When the food came, it was presented as rib-eye. At that point we asked if it was prime rib or rib-eye. The person who delivered the food was not sure and since we were sitting outside it was dark and so we couldn't tell. We had the manager come over and we explained what was going on. The manager said that they don't have prime rib so it was rib-eye. She offered to take it back but we decided we would keep it and she didn't charge us for it. She also told us that she would switch our waitress. The manager said that they were short staffed. Ten minutes later a new waitress showed up with bread - although at this point the man who delivered our dinner, brought the bread. The only thing we asked the waitress for was water. She came back ten minutes later to check on us and we asked if they had run out of water. She ran to get the one glass of water that we had asked for. We decided to skip dessert but couldn't find the waitress to get the check. I went and found the manager who took one drink off the bill and printed our check, which I promptly paid so we could leave. At the same time one of the waitresses showed up at our table and threw the check at us. So, the service was worse then terrible and there was no tip. As for the food, it was fair. Some of us liked it and some of us didn't. I thought my shrimp dish was pretty good until we got home and my stomach bothered me the rest of the evening. There are places where the food and the service are much better. I would avoid this one. While the view is magnificent, between the service and the food, it isn't worth it. read more

We went two nights in a row this past week while on vacation. Sat on the patio overlooking the marina both nights. Great atmosphere, live music, the portobello crab mushroom is amazing. Very pleased with our drinks. Excellent service, they were very accommodating with our 15 month old. Our entrees both nights were just okay but when we commented on that, our server took one of them off the bill which was very nice of him to do. read more

Views were wonderful! The food was good. I had the sailors Summer sunset dinner 3 course meal with the house salad. The balsamic dressing was delicious. I had the Mahi francaise as my entree. It was bland. I would have loved to taste more of the lemon in the sauce. The chocolate mousse dessert was very good. Would recommend getting a reservation outside near the windows when it is very warm. read more

What a wonderful place for a leisurely lunch outside on the water! We ate here on 12-28-17, even though they were very busy we never felt rushed and was able to sit and enjoy our afternoon on the water with a great meal. I personally had the crab cake sliders and highly recommend them. I'll finish with stating what a great waitress we had (Giana) she not only took great care of our table but also very entertaining toward the young ones with us, showing them how to make a wish on coins (which she took from her pocket) and throwing them in the water way..... they had a blast! If you have a chance to enjoy this wonderful restaurant I wouldn't miss it! Debbie read more

Ate here for my first time on my 2 year anniversary. Sat outside. It was a little hot but they have a good set up to try and keep you cool. I don't like seafood but my husband does. He had a special and LOVED it. This guy will usually find the smallest thing to complain about at a restaurant and I heard none here. I had a skirt steak that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. As a 21 year military veteran on my service's 227th birthday I was refused service by this dockside bar because I was wearing a tank top worth more than any shirt on any patron in the whole place. It cost the bartender $27 in tips on the $130 happy hour excursion by boat. Every other bar on the Stuart waterfront welcomed my party. We visit the waterfront 30-40 times a year and will never return to Sailors. It's small wonder their bar was only 80% filled on Friday Happy Hour when they are SO welcoming. read more

I think it's easier to get here by boat than by car. Might be easier to come from Jensen down the bridge and make a right, than coming from downtown stuart. Once you are here, the parking lot is vast! This is a great place to eat with kids who get rammy and need to walk around and what not. What is great is you can comfortably sit outside in august if it's not too humid, they have fans and misting fans as well. We really dug sitting outside and watching the sunset. Our first trip here my cousins brought us via their boat. We docked right along the walkway and even my 67yr old mother got out of the boat with ease. It was 7 of us and they didn't flinch. We were seated right away. A lot of great fresh catches to pick from. The next time we went my mom and I shared an entree. Now, they do charge for sharing, but in a rather awesome way, you both get to pick your own two sides! Really reasonable! Love this place! Oh and the bathrooms are immaculate! read more

It has been a while since we went there. We went for dinner with some out of town friends. Got a nice table outside. The dockside ambiance is very relaxing. It is a pretty upscale establishment but pretty casual at the same time. It is fairly pricey so it is not a place we will be frequenting. The food and service was very good. I had a hard time finding this restaurant online but it is really a hidden Gem. We went for my parents 55th anniversary and it was simply wonderful. My father had the pompano largest one I've ever seen served and he's really picky but he loved that special. A few others had the twin lobster tails don't be fooled by the picture on line they are LARGE fresh with that beautiful sweet flavor. The conch fritters were great too but serving is only about six with the perfect spice to the sauce. We also tried the calamari Fried with a nice light batter I do wish the marinara had more flavor to it but overall good choice too. Tried the aide cesaer big and split with two people wish i had gotten the anchovies they offer with it but still very good. My friend and I had the ribeye cooked to a perfect medium but it's big couldn't finish it all but took home. The staff was sooooo nice and our waiter seemed to have a lot of tables but he did his best to keep up with our needs. We love you his place and WILL return again. read more
