Wow, what a wonderful experience! The gentleman working behind the register greeted me immediately, and he was incredibly friendly and professional! It was very clean and tidy inside. The door was left open for fresh air to blow in, which I really loved to see! They have indoor seating and two outdoor tables. I decided to sit outside to enjoy the breeze and the gentleman kindly brought the food outdoors to me, which I greatly appreciated! The eel roll was incredible and easily the best I've ever had! The sushi ginger was delicious as well and seemed extremely fresh--no brown or discolored spots. The cucumber roll was also very yummy. Gosh I cannot wait to go back again, and to share this place with my loved ones! Excellent customer service and excellent food... what more could you ask for?! Thank you Saigon88 Express for providing such an amazing atmosphere as well amazing food! This is certainly a special place and I could see that from only visiting once. I'm very glad I stopped by!
I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl with no peanuts. It's a really refreshing meal and the meat has lots of flavor - I enjoyed the crunchy cucumber and pickled onions. The service was quick and the waitress was very friendly. The interior is pretty small but there is plenty of seating.
I love this restaurant. I went a few months ago when their hood was broken so they couldn't do soups. I was very excited this time to go and see that they were able to do soups again. The restaurant smelled like delicious pho broth when I walked in. I had already ordered my banh mi sandwiches online before coming to pick them up, or I would've added an order of pho. I will be excited to come back for to try it next time. The traditional style banh mis are so flavorful and delicious. The veggies give the sandwich such a nice crunch. The staff here is always so kind and helpful. It is super small inside with only a few dine in tables, but it never seems to be too crowded inside. It wouldn't be too hard to find a seat if you wanted.
Decided to try this modest place before a Monday night concert at the Roxian. It was a little under 15 mins away and we hadn't had Vietnamese in quite some time. You order at the counter and then take a seat with a number. We were the only ones there, but several others came in a bit after us. There was plenty of seating. It's super casual. We started with really tasty summer rolls. They were wrapped perfectly, and I love when you can taste the fresh herbs in a summer roll when you first bite into it. The shrimp option was quite good. The peanut sauce was ok. It did not seem homemade. We both ordered the vermicelli bowl. I ordered shrimp; my husband the pork. Mine was far better. I thought the pork was overcooked. We're spoiled though. A place back in DC pounds out the pork really thin and has the most amazing sauce on it. This place has small bits that are quite cooked. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, though, and had some kind of sauce on it. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the fish sauce mixture - quite flavorful. Overall, the meal was good and quite healthy. We were pleased and would consider returning if we have another concert over that way. It really is a good desert around the Roxian!
Saigon88 Express is right off of Interstate 79 down Steubenville Pike in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking which was nice. The food itself was just OK - the vegetables were all fresh, the flavor of the marinated pork was nice, and the portion size was plentiful. On the minus side, the noodles weren't cooked the best; in one part they were a large twisted clump. The jalapeño and red onion were chopped but not separated, leading me to pick them apart. Also they left two of the fatty end pieces of the pork in the bowl, which no one wants to eat. Service was ok. You pay before eating here. The gentleman who brought the food did offer choice between chopsticks or utensils, was very friendly and appreciative. After that though, no further check-ins from the staff, even to refill the water, which was empty about half way through the meal (FYI tipped 18% when I ordered). I could eat here again but not in a rush to do so.
I love Saigon 88 express. They have amazing pho but my most recent trying of their poke bowls are excellent
MY FAVORITE BOBA SPOT IN PITTSBURGH AREA!! There's also super delicious food, but I usually find myself here at least once every week or so for the boba and the cutest owners!! This spot is small, and it's always busy! But not too busy that you find yourself waiting forever. The workers are always hopping around very quickly doing everything to take care of everyone whether ordering they are ordering takeout, picking up online orders, or dining in! And pro tip: ALWAYS remember to get your boba card
I love ramen and unfortunately this place doesn't really do it for me. The noodles are spaghetti noodles and they were so mushy. The pork was fatty and doesn't melt in your mouth like regular chashu should. The seeds in the jalapeño they gave me was rotted. I'm sure this would be great for someone that has never tried really good ramen before. The restaurant is in a strip plaza thing and has a lot of parking. There is nothing spectacular that is worth noting about the ambiance. Even though the restaurant is very small, we had to wait a while to get our food. We weren't offered refills or checked on after we got our food.
Saigon88 Express serves authentic Vietnamese and other Asian foods. The menu lists foods such as edamame, bulgogi fries, salads, banh-mi sandwiches, pho and ramen soups, red curry, maki rolls, poke bowls, boba teas, etcetera. Please see my attached photos for the menu in August 2024. My husband and I ate one lunch here. Three employees very promptly and very kindly served us, and they checked in with us throughout our meal. Here are my ratings for our foods and beverages: Traditional Dac Biet Banh Mi - 4 stars - This sandwich was a large size. It contained pork, which is not my favorite meat, but it did taste good. It also contained fresh vegetables, some of which were pickled, and some spices. Pho beef - 5 stars - My husband ate this soup, and he described it as "very good." It was a huge size, and it contained beef broth, rice noodles, bean sprouts, basil, onions, cilantro, and jalapenos. Crispy dumplings - 5 stars - My husband ate this appetizer. Eight dumplings had a crispy exterior and a flavorful filling of pork and vegetables. On the side was duck sauce. Spicy Alaskan roll - 4.5 stars - This sushi roll contained shrimp tempura, crab, avocado, and cucumber and was topped with baked salmon. I do not think that this sushi roll tasted spicy, but it was very good. Honey-dew fruit tea with popping boba - 4.5 stars - This fruit tea had a refreshing flavor. Passionfruit tea with popping boba - 5 stars - My husband enjoyed this fruit tea. I would love to return to try additional menu items such as the bulgogi fries, ramen, red curry, and milk teas.
The best delicious Pho & Summer Rolls. Wish I lived here! Very friendly staff. Great prices.

Went with coworkers after we found out there was a nearby Vietnamese location that just opened up. Overall: 4.5/5. I'll explain my ratings below based on my expectations of an Express place. *Decor: 4.5/5* The place is clean. It's well colored to a pinkish theme. There's pictures of the various foods all over. Nothing really over the top in terms of design, but just simply pleasant to eat in. *Music: 5/5* They play Vietnamese music which isn't really all that barring. The volume is set at a light tone that isn't distracting to the person eating, but also enough for me to appreciate as a Vietnamese American. *Food presentation: 5/5* Everything is in a to-go container, even if you're dining in. I like the container that my food came in personally. Pretty much what I would expect from Express. *Flavor: 5/5* My coworkers and I all agreed that the food was great. I really enjoyed my Pork Vermicelli (Bun Thit Nuoung). I'll definitely be going back to try some of the other things on the menu. The Banh Mi seemed to be really well done...looking similar to the photo that's already posted here on Yelp. I ended up getting the Pho on a second go. Honestly, it's pretty good. My coworkers are loving this place. *Price: 4/5* It's around $10 with tax, which is understandable for the bowls of food, because the portions were definitely worth it. $7 for Banh Mi, which honestly is a great price compared to the size of other Banh Mi places in Pittsburgh. (Of course Banh Mi in other cities would be cheaper) *Service: 4.25/5* The workers were really nice and their English was good. For an Express place, it didn't really feel Express, but to be honest, if the food were to come out faster at the cost of the quality, then that would be worse overall. (edit: After coming twice, the staff were very welcoming and told us they'd prepare food for us ahead of time if we call. Super nice folks.) *Bathrooms: N/A* Didn't use them. *Bubble Tea: 2/5* Pretty much what I expected from restaurant Bubble Tea. The drinks were a too grainy still. Maybe if the drinks were mixed longer, it might've been different. The tapioca pearls weren't warm enough as well. *Che Thai: 3.75/5* If you need to feed your Che addiction or just have been craving it, I would get it from here. Though it is for the hefty price of $6 a cup. They add tons of ingredients to the drink which keeps it interesting. Would I come back again? Most definitely. I have a lot of things to try and to rate now that there's a Vietnamese place near me. Overall, I like the portion sizes per the price. The drinks and dessert are a little less desirable, but that's not really necessary in a meal anyhow. Final thoughts: This is a perfect place to add to a list of lunch locations to go to in the area. While I'm definitely biased in terms of wanting to try all the Vietnamese food possible, I do think it's actually worth it. read more

The containers may say fast food but the contents are definitely gourmet!! This place has the best pho broth I have ever tasted around Pittsburgh! I got the tripe, meatballs, and rare flank steak version. The smell of spices and basil permeating the shop was intoxicating. Will definitely be returning here! read more

This place is awesome! There's limited seating as it's more of a takeout place. But the food is amazing. I order from here at least 2-3 month. The COM with chicken is delicious. And it's served with fresh cucumber, tomato, jalapeño and picked onions and carrots. The chicken is tender and super flavorful. The portions are huge. I usually get 3 meals out of one order. The western roll, seaweed salad and fried dumplings are fantastic too. Owners are friendly and welcoming. Don't just drive past this place. Stop in! I couldn't wait to eat, so the photos shown are after I inhaled my food :) read more

Ordered a variety of items but of course can't remember all the names. I know the soup was Pho and there was plenty of it. Actually everything we ordered was plentiful. The clear wrap item had some type of meat in it. And everything was very good. Not much seating, and everything is served in plastic. Service was a bit slow but you can see them making everything fresh right behind the counter. read more

As for the food I give it 5 stars. I give it 4 stars because of 2 things. 1. The dine in food comes in stirofam containers. 2. The other issue is that we wanted only water to drink and find out after we get our food it's bottled water. I was wondering why the bill was more than I expected. A bit of a let down. We'll be back for the good flavor and have to deal with the Styrofoam containers. read more

Glad I found this Vietnamese place. They have 4 small tables inside and two outside. Ordered the fresh vegetarian summer rolls. The peanut sauce is thinner than usual but still very tasty. The wonton soup was huge (comparable to 2 portions at a Chinese restaurant) and had a ton of flavor. Chicken in the pho was a little bland but the rest of the soup was delicious. I definitely over ordered also got the thick noodles with tofu. read more

My new favorite restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious and made to order. The portions are huge. We ordered chicken and beef pho noodle soup which was so tasty. The broth was excellent and it came with rice noodles, green onions, basil, cilantro, jalapeno , bean sprouts, lime, hoisin and siracha sauce. We also shared the pork banhmi sandwich. OMG. Amazing! I love their fruit teas too. I don't eat sushi but if you do I'm sure it is fresh and tasty. The owners are so kind and accommodating. They offer delivery thru Doordash and Grubhub. Oh, and it's by far the cleanest restaurant in Robinson Township! Can't wait to try some of their other menu items. read more
