I recently ordered takeout from Asian Bistro in Imperial for dinner. I called ahead and ordered wonton soup, egg rolls, and General Tsos chicken. They quoted me 15 mins and the food was ready at that time. I walked in and paid with a card and was in and out within a minute. They do have a few booths inside, if you wanted to eat there, but I would say it's mainly takeout. The parking lot is massive and shared with several other businesses in the plaza. The food was still hot by the time I got it home. The wonton soup only comes in a smaller pint version and I'm used to a quart size. So, I was a little disappointed by that. However, the soup was delicious. It had a dark and flavorful broth. The vegetable rolls were definitely more reminiscent of spring rolls, but still delicious. They didn't curb my craving for an egg roll, though. The general tsos came with white rice and the entree was musky spicy, crunchy, and served with broccoli and carrot slices. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and thought the portion size was fair for the price. read more

This is a small bistro type - I travelled here from Washington, PA just to pick up take out after the good reviews and it was definitely worth it! I got the lunch special of hunan sauce with veggies and fried rice and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was AMAZING! I wish I had ordered an extra one. I love this soup and very few places make it authentic - this one was PERFECT! I really want to go back and ask for the recipe and have more of it. Hunan sauce with veggies and fried rice was soooo sooo goood! It was so authentic and just perfect taste wise! Enough veggies and cooked perfectly. If I lived here I would be a weekly customer! It's an eat-in restaurant, but basically, it's a takeout place with neatly arranged booths to sit in and dine in if you wish. Perfect if you are in a hurry to dine and have nowhere to eat a portable meal. The portions were generous, the food was first rate, and prepared and served quickly. We loved the food, but there was so much of it we couldn't finish it. The fact that none of us in our group eat the same things made it impossible to just order one thing and share it. Great service, even though we came in with a group larger than 20 people. They accommodated us well, and the manager was happy to see a large crowd. Naturally, food is amazing. As authentic as takeout can get - surpassing even some sit down places in the area. They didn't skimp on portions either - large portions overflowing the takeout containers. Every time I eat here, I'm happy with the food,Its delicious. I recently ordered the Pad Thai and it was the most flavorful I've ever had! The owners are so nice and easy to talk to. I first tried this place a few months ago and love it. The flavors are great and not over sweetened. I like it Extra Extra spicey and get Level 5. So far only the wife and I get this level of scorching heat. If you like it hot the challenge is on. I've also cut down on meat so have ordered Tofu. Its nice and a bit crispy. One of the few places I've found that makes the Tofu crispy. The hot and sour soup is tasty. This is the only place I actually like it. read more

I have never left a review before but in these days of so so dining experiences I felt I wanted to complement this establishment for their excellent service and even better quality food . I ordered the Wanton Soup, steamed Dumplings and Shrimp Lo Mein. The portions were large and all the dishes were full of flavor. I was really surprised by the size of the shrimp in the Lo Mein. We were visiting from Toronto and were in the look for some Chinese food around the area. Best decision to visit this restaurant. The lady in the front was so kind and the food was served very quickly. We had stopped here to pick up food twice and we had ordered 1) Ma Po Tofu, 2) Szechuan Chicken and 3) Chicken Vegetable Delight. The rice was cooked perfectly and we were given plenty of utensils. Today I got the Triple Delight and Indonesia fried rice and had the heat kicked up to a five from a three the first time I ordered and it's plenty of heat. Large portions of food. What a gem of a restaurant! We tried their Roti Canai after the recommendation from the very nice lady at the front and it did not disappoint! We were hoping they had scallion pancakes but after trying the Roti, we ordered 2 more! The Beef noodle soup was one of the best I've tasted - authentic Chinese flavors (not the westernized version) and the shrimp stirfry and flat noodles with beef were all excellent. The chef even came to our table and gave us a taste of their fried tofu - YUM. Great price, big servings and super friendly staff. Not your average Chinese resto. We will be back for sure.
