Solid Chinese food. One thing i particularly like is how fresh and crispy their vegetables are. Some places fry them too long.

First I wanted to start out by saying, I first started coming here about 8yrs ago and the food was excellent and the quality good. The past several times the food has gone downhill each time in quality. A recent example is I ordered a chicken dish with white chicken. It was awful with pieces of fat and gristle. it was uneatable. The won ton soup, which I don't think they even make the broth their was uber salty. When I told the lady the next time returned, she just looked at me and said, oh well... Oh well! There you go. So I also noticed they no longer give FREE fortune cookies! Now that's just unheard of in a Chinese restaurant. She again said, the cost of cookies went up but they now sell them. Oh for Gods sake are you kidding me. That was the last straw China King, you have lost my business for good. read more

Fast food Chinese style. A few takeout events as well as eat in visits yielded adequate results each time. The crab rangoons were not like the Thai ones I am used to as they were much thicker and required much more chewing. I do like the Singapore noodles with either the beef or shrimp. We just tried this place and it was pretty good. The first thing I want to mention is this place doesn't use MSG in their food. I was super happy with that, as I'm actually allergic to MSG and get severe migraines from it. You get lots of food for a reasonable price. We ordered Wonton Soup, 2 Egg Rolls, General Tso's Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The wonton soup was packed with large wontons and was perfectly flavored. The egg rolls were a tad over done, but the flavor was good. The General Tso's was just the right amount of spicy and the Sweet & Sour Chicken was good, but missing the usual veggies and pineapple. All the portions were large and the food was ready right when we arrived to pick it up. There were a few tables inside, but it's a super small place so we can see most of their business is likely take-out. Overall, we were pleased with the food and service so we'll definitely be going back. read more

Was nice on the inside. Like nice-for-a-plaza Chinese take out. Got the lunch moo goo GAO pan lunch special. Not greasy, lots of chicken. But... the fried rice was a bit crunchy. It is that yellow fried rice you find so often. The egg roll that came with it was good. But back to the moo... Overall, solid three star. If I ate there, the dining area is VERY clean. Would not have a problem with eating in. Added a couple pix. But back to the meal. Really bland. Lots of chicken. Mushrooms. No onion or garlic or flavor at all really. But still ok. I can see grandma and grandpa loving the flavor, or lack thereof. Next day update. Pint of sweet and sour shrimp. Very good. No veg in sauce, that keeps score at three stars. One unique thing they do is, any fried food to go, they really shake off the oil. And put it on a napkin in the box or bag when the wrap it up. So, nice touch! read more

China King is strip mall Chinese food. I've ordered a few times from General Tso's at $16.99, Mongolian chicken, hot and sour soup, egg rolls, etc. That is not a typo. I know, that seems very high. Nothing is terrible but nothing is great. The soup was very bland. I'm a bit disappointed at their quality vs price for takeout. read more

I've had take out twice and it's been underwhelming. There are a lot of small Chinese food places which are average and this one is a little under that. What worked: egg drop soup was fine, and egg roll was nice hot and fresh. Service is fast. Prices are at least lower than the sushi/japanese place next door. What doesn't: I think these dishes are blending into each other. You order something and it's all the same stuff paired with an indistinguishable sauce, which isn't much or doesn't have flavor. The fried rice was like white rice with a little browning. And the chicken tasted like it had freezer burn. In the future, if I'm desperate for Chinese with no other options, I think I'll hit the frozen meal section at Giant eagle on the opposite side of the road. This is regretfully not worth a repeat visit. read more

Finally!! We can get delivery to Harmony, PA from restaurants in Cranberry! I was so excited!! I downloaded the Grub-Hub app and decided we'd try Asian food from this place. What a disappointment! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER THEIR CHICKEN. MINE WAS DEFINITELY LEFTOVER AND REHEATED! Yuck!! Ugh!!! Tooey!! No amount of King Pao , Hunan or whatever sauce you use can cover up and hide the disgusting smell and taste of day old chicken!! I suggest China King weigh the benefits of serving day old chicken and losing business or using fresh chicken and keeping current business and gaining more customers. Throw that nasty chicken out!!! Food is always fast and tasty. Wonton soup is the best I've had in any Chinese restaurant. We do takeout since the dine in experience isn't much - a few plastic booths and maybe some tables, can't recall precisely. Reasonably priced and extensive menu. After ordering from home, hanging around for only 5 min. and driving there, it's typically ready for pickup. I've rarely ever had to wait and if so it's quick. read more

Personally not a fan... the ingredients seemed to be quality but the food was not. Hot and sour was more sweet and sour almost teriyaki flavored, the only discernible spice was black pepper. The chicken wings were good but the weren't the whole wings that I usually get from Chinese places and the breading was very thick... I ordered Szechuan Shrimp and asked specifically if they could be made spicy and was told they could, they came not spicy at all. The up side was that the shrimp were decent size and the veggies were big and crisp. This may be ok for some folks but for me and the Chinese cuisine I am used to everything was very bland and underwhelming. Would not recommend. read more

My daughter and I stopped in on Saturday for a late lunch. We ordered combination plates. I had the egg drop soup, got an upgrade from the regular egg roll to the jumbo egg roll on special for an upcharge, I had the chicken lo mein. My daughter had the wonton soup, upgrade to the jumbo egg roll and chicken chop suey. We both had the pork fried rice. The food was ok, served hot and promptly. Two of our egg rolls, that we paid an upcharge for were not the jumbo rolls we paid for. The lady noticed the error in time to correct it. I overheard her talking to the children about it. She mentioned it to us as were were putting our leftovers into take out boxes. She said she should give us two free ones but at that time we were on our way out and just said never mind. Our concerns were with the cleanliness or lack of to be more accurate. The seats were dirty and sticky. The silverware is unwrapped and sitting in an open container on the tables. The children were trying to kill a wasp that had got in. One stood on top of the counter to reach it and no one washed the counter after he stood there. Another customer came in and ordered a take out order leaning on that very counter. The egg rolls were very hot and were served on a Styrofoam plate which had several melted spots so the egg rolls were in direct contact with the table. The children help to take orders, serve food and not once during our visit did they leave the front area to wash their hands. We probably won't return for those reasons. Good food at a very reasonable price isn't enough to make me risk health and safety. read more

We used to live across the street from this Chinese take out restaurant, and although we've moved, we still end up going back. Really can't beat the combo meals, which include an egg roll, rice, and soup of your choice for a good price. Had Scezchuan Beef which really seemed like the line cooks use the same base veggie medley as beef and broccoli, the veggies and meat are not cut in a fine julliene strips the way tradition Scezchuan is prepared but it was tastey. Atmosphere - ZILCH, bathroom fixtures in direpair...tired interior with worn cracked cushions. I would only do take out on return.
