Disappointing as a vegan/vegetarian. Came with a meat eating friend who said the food was bland. Came here on a Sunday around 11 am because of seeing that they had veggie options listed on their menu. When I arrived they said they were "out of vegetables," so I asked if they had spring rolls or any other food they could make with no meat or seafood. They said they could make the spring rolls with "vegetables only." They ended up coming with shrimp, no one ever came back to check on us, and we couldn't get anyone's attention so I ended up drinking water and watching my friend eat them as well as her own food. My iced coffee with condensed milk came when she was almost done with her meal. It was tasty, but very heavily iced - in the photo you'll see how much ice I had left when almost being done with my drink. I noticed vegetables also being prepped as we were getting ready to go, so maybe veggie options would've been available later in the day. read more

Out if the 2 viet restaurants in vacaville this is the one for my soup life people. Bun bo hue 5/5 Pho tai 4/5 Banh mi 3/5 The is a family run spot and its delicious. The owner is great and every time the bun bo hue is bussin' iykyk. Honestly the best I've had outside of San jose. It is always my go to here because the broth is so flavorful and the tendon is always melt in your mouth soft. I always get the large and it can last me up to 3 meals if you order w/ extra noods the portion is very generous. I dont usually oder the pho tai here but again the broth is delish. If BBH isnt your thing this is a great alternative and obv a very popular viet dish. Ive never ordered any of the rice plates or noodle dishes here bc again the soup is chef's kiss. I have had the banh mi and they're decent and honestly with the viet cuisine desert that is vacaville they are a decent option. They also have smoothie drinks and thai tea on the menu with boba never tried; but frequently ordered by others when I'm dining there. They do a lot of takeout and the spot is a little small. The pho here is delicious! and what makes it really good is the noodles and tasty meat. I got my pho with some brisket and steak. You can also add any condiments to your choice. The fried egg roll is meaty and crunchy. The sauce that came with it was also really good. The service was also good getting our order in and out fast! !!!!The Bahn Mi is A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I ordered what was Supposed to be a bbq beef bahn mi but there's almost NO MEAT!!! I would say that the beef accounts for 5% of the sandwich.....maybe 6%. It's a little hard to tell because I drenched it with hoisin sauce. I love Vietnamese sandwiches and was super excited to find that I could get some here in Vacaville. That was until I opened this sad excuse for a beef bahn mi. It's packed full of veggies, which I like but there needs to be equal parts meat. I actually bought 4 of them and brought them home to surprise my family. All I did was get everyone's hopes up and we had to pick up more to eat because everyone was STILL HUNGRY after this veggie snack. It's like the cook made one sandwich then realized he was supposed to make 4 and just divided the meat from the one sandwich into 4. Enjoyed take out last week and every item we ordered was good. The fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce were tasty, as were our two orders of pho. We had the P5 (chicken)and P8 (flank steak & brisket). There were plenty of toppings bagged up and waiting for us, the jalapenos were spicy, the bean sprouts were crisp, and the basil and cilantro were fresh and aromatic. The pho broth was good. Nothing that blew my mind, but not overly sweet or fishy--a good balance of sweet and salty. The noodles were cooked well, too, although I prefer the next larger size of noodles versus the small ones here. Finally, the lychee boba smoothie I treated myself to was delicious. Juicy, not too sweet, and the boba was the perfect chewy. This will likely be our go-to pho spot in Vacaville from now on. read more

My friend is a regular here and said I absolutely had to try this. It did not disappoint! The pho was satisfying and filling (I ordered the small and still couldn't finish) it's also extremely inexpensive! At $8 a bowl you can't beat it. The Thai tea was great and the chicken was a great appetizer. The staff is very nice and service is quick! We came on a hot day and were worried about getting too warm but the place is well air conditioned so we enjoyed our hot meal in peace. I went through the reviews and saw a few complaints about the bland taste and the broth. It must've been a one-time thing because my soup had so much flavor - I ordered the regular steak beef pho, which was great. In my order, I also wanted to try their pork spring rolls to find out they make theirs different - I'm used to the grilled spring rolls with the pork and sauce, but here they were like a deli pork slice with peanut sauce - still excellent and fresh! I decided to go here after work with my child because we love getting pho that's our go to besides Ramen and sadly it didn't hit like it was supposed to. I've been here twice already and both times were great, The food was good, but I don't know what happened this time. I ordered my usual which is a regular size brisket pho and the broth was lacking flavor to the point where I had to disrespect it and add so much hoisin and Sriracha just to amp up the flavor. I also decided to order a Vietnamese iced coffee and I don't know the way how it was 90% ice and 10% liquid, I had to notify the waitress about this and she said that's how it's supposed to be made, but to be honest I just felt like they were skimping me on the iced coffee, but I did not want to make a scene and get upset, even though that's like a waste of money to be honest because six dollars for a drink that isn't even halfway full is crazy to me. Where do I start? This place is very skimpy. Not much meat in the bowls of pho, nothing inside of the Bahn Mi, and very lacking in flavor. It's also a red flag when you see the cheapest Bahn Mi priced at $4.75. Do yourself a favor and find a Bahn Mi elsewhere. You can find a better one for cheaper somewhere else and as for the pho, unless you like a lot of broth, you might want to search elsewhere as well. read more

We use to eat here and it was delicious. I'm assuming new owners maybe new cooks. It's a good thing I always check and inspect my food because I have had bad experiences in the past. Well my husband brought banh mi sandwiches home and I inspected them. Pork,chicken and beef. Well the pork and chicken was not fully cooked! This is unacceptable! This could have gotten us very sick! Finally came here after seeing it for many years. It's a very small spot, but the service was fast and quick. I ordered the spring rolls which were great, but they only give ya four pieces (six for the price woulda been great). I ordered the steak and meatball pho and while it was nice and warm I found the broth to be a bit bland. I added some spice to it, but it still was off. I'm glad to have finally tried this spot, but it just doesn't compare to other Pho spots (including the one down the street!). read more

Normally this place do a great job. But today they missed the mark. There was a live fly in her sandwich. They did offer to get a replacement but my wife was so upset and lost her appetite. I would have given it a five, but I ordered spring rolls and got fresh rolls. They were really good, so this is really not a complaint. I ordered the beef rib and flank steak Pho. The broth was great delicious, steak was good, but the flank steak was really fatty; and not appealing to the eyes. Next time I go back I will just order the ribs steak and forget the flank steak. I also ordered tea and it never came, so I guess I didn't need the tea. Reed had a teriyaki dish with noodles and the pork was good, but a little chewy for my taste. And here is a big question, "would I go back again?" The answer would be yes, but I might be more prone to get takeout. Surprisingly, I really do like this Pho spot. Service is always quick and friendly. I love that they offer Banh Mi sandwiches (a variety) too! Their pho is never overly greasy and it is quite tasty. The restaurant is not a huge spot, but they do move tables around to accommodate larger groups. I am a fan of their noodle plates. I can never ever finish it, which is a plus for me....a meal the next day and even better if I can bring it for lunch to work the next day. They also have boba drinks if you are into that.
