Now the ratings overall are good, but interestingly the vast majority of the reviews within the past year are all 5 stars. How is that possible? Could this place really be that good yet I've never tried it? The curiosity is killing you, I know. So let's dive in. Parking is always a big deal for me, and in this case, parking was no problem. It's a big parking lot with basically unlimited spots as it's in a large strip center. So far, so good. We arrived on a Saturday around 11:30 am hoping to beat the lunch rush - mission accomplished. We were the only ones there. Whenever I try a new Chinese restaurant that offers xiao long bao (AKA soup dumplings AKA XLB), I gotta try it. So we did. And it was excellent. The key is to suck the soup out of the hole on top. And If there is no hole, make one with a chopstick, and you won't spill the precious soup out of the dumpling. They also brought out the special XLB soy sauce with ginger. It was wonderful. Next we gotta get the beef noodle soup. And oh my, dare I say it: it might be the best I've ever had. Call me crazy, but don't call me crazy until you've tried it yourself. The broth was so rich and deep in flavor. I absolutely loved it. Zoom in on my photo. You'll salivate. The hot oil spill noodle was good but not great. I wish the noodles were hand-pulled like I'm used to (I'm spoiled, I know), but it was still good. And lastly, the crispy spicy fish fillet was quite good but a bit pricey and small in portion. The fish from Dumplings and Noodles by Cooking Girl is better, but the fish here is definitely something I would order again. So there you have it for food. Overall - very impressive and I would definitely come back and drive 45 minutes just for the braised beef noodle soup. The service was also really good. There was one older Asian lady who took care of us from beginning to end and she was great. Lastly the ambiance was surprisingly pleasant. Restaurant was spacious, clean, and they even have claw machines for entertainment. The big wonder is, for a restaurant so good, where are the customers? It was quite empty for a Saturday lunch, and we only saw a few to go orders while we were there. This is Spring's well-kept secret when it comes to Chinese food. Enjoy!

I am so upset about my visit today. I've come here before and have loved the pho and the appetizers. This time I ordered the spring rolls, the egg rolls, and the grilled pork chop rice dish to-go. I had never ordered this dish before.. The spring rolls and the egg rolls were delicious, but the grilled pork chop dish was so salty it almost made you pucker your lips. My husband and I both tried one small bite and returned the dish to the restaurant. The lady at the front desk who had originally helped me asked what was wrong. I told her that the dish was way too salty and that we would like to exchange it for something else. This lady flat out told me that she wasn't the one who ordered it, that I had made the choice. She then said that if I wanted something else I would have to pay for it. I was literally in shock. I reiterated that the food was not edible, and that I wasn't asking for money back - I just wanted to exchange it for something else. She refused again. I am NEVER coming back to this establishment. Absolutely horrible service. They where out of everything we wanted. Then they would not sell a menu item because they only had fried rice prepared even though the item was listed with steamed rice. When we asked to have what was shown on the menu the owner said she wasn't going to go in the kitchen and cook steamed rice because fried rice is what they already have prepared. When we got the food it tasted horrible and we found several hairs in the sauce which they said was packing fibers off the food. What chicken and/or rice comes with fiber wrapping. I highly recommend Tomball Pho. Which by the way is owned by the rude owners nephew. Come to find out she opened up to hurt his business because he was doing so well. I hardly write reviews on restaurant but if I do it must be a good restaurant. Today I wrote this review because it's really bad. I ordered a pad Thai for lunch and it did not taste a bit like Thai Pad Thai. The sauce was too salty and was not Pad Thai sauce. It's was Chinese stir fry sauce. The noodle is wet and soggy. Not to mention it a little bit over priced. So I have to give it 1 star. For me to come back for other dishes is a no no. I do not have time for this. My husband has been wanting to try this restaurant for some time now. Today we finally got the chance to get away and have lunch together. We were greeted by a lovely woman and began looking over the menu. It has several choices and we decided on the combination pho and combination sandwich. Oh my goodness!!! We are hooked! At one point during our meal we realized my wife was eating Thai, I was eating Japanese, the tv was turned to telemundo, the music was techno, and they serve French style macaroons. It was hilarious.
