Callie's Kitchen is hands down a vegan gem in Tomball and I am so glad I finally got to try it. From the moment the food hit the table you could tell everything was made with intention fresh ingredients and real care for flavor. On top of that the customer service was top tier. The staff was friendly welcoming and attentive which made the experience even better. I ordered the Houston Street Tacos and they were amazing. Two large organic tacos filled with jackfruit and quinoa that were perfectly seasoned and very satisfying. They were topped with avocado tomato marinated cabbage and a house turmeric queso that brought everything together so well. The side of kreamy kale sauce was a standout too and I found myself dipping every bite into it. To drink I had the Organic Mango Hibiskus Lemonade made with house brewed hibiscus and pure organic mango. It was refreshing not too sweet and tasted incredibly fresh easily one of the best lemonades I have had. My friend ordered the Orange Buffalo Tahini Cauliflower and it was packed with flavor. The cauliflower was roasted just right tossed in a bold orange buffalo sauce drizzled with tahini and topped with roasted cashews and sesame seeds over seasoned jasmine rice. She also had the Catalina Rolls which were crispy hearty and filled with fresh cabbage herbs and house taco meat and they were so good. She also tried the Heal All of the Rainforest Pau D'Arco Latte which was warm earthy and comforting. It is made with Peruvian Pau D'Arco heirloom cacao ashwagandha catuaba bark cinnamon maple syrup and almond milk and it truly felt like wellness in a cup. Everything we tried was flavorful filling and never felt heavy. Whether you are vegan plant based or just love good food Callie's Kitchen is absolutely worth a visit. Love this place so much! Just came here to visit family and was so thrilled to have a fully vegan business to support. Food was so delicious we had to come two days in a row! Kitchen had just closed the first evening we went, but they had some fresh meals ready to go in the fridge. The heated them up for us in the oven and we were impressed. the food was splendid! All the pictures aren't of the full food because I forgot to take photos before but it was so good. The flavors and textures complimented each other so well while being vegan and organic. the hummus which was homemade was rich and perfect. While it was on the expensive side for the meal ranging about 50$ for two meals, appetizer and drinks. It was not a bad price for the food amount given with enough to make leftovers. Update: we now purchase several meals from here a week and I'm writing a more concise review now. Our credentials: -I have hashimotos -My husband isn't vegan/vegetarian -We own a diesel shop close 5 minutes away and work 100+ hour weeks -I am picky. I don't like slaw, quinoa salads etc. And neither of us care for prepackaged meals With my autoimmune issues and our work schedule. Most things I eat make me sick, but that is never the case here. I started eating here so often because i don't have the time to make my own meals. Especially of this quality and flavor? It's only been about 2 weeks. But I can concentrate better. And since I'm in software development that is AWESOME! I can wake up easier, my heart issues have ceased!? CEASED. No more not even during my workouts. My husband feels amazing and is equally addicted to their food. This morning we stuffed our faces with the big german plate, cinnamon rolls, and biscuits. I'm new to Tomball and was so happy when I found Callie's Kitchen on Yelp. Callie is sweetheart and her food is delicious as well, she gets a star! BUT I decided it was best to share my experiences I've had with Callies husband, the rude man that runs the front of the restaurant or sometimes sitting out on the porch with his why are you here type of look on his face! Guys be prepared because if you ask him a question he will try and ruin your day by his rude response so protect your energy field! My first instinct was that he's racist but from the other reviews he's just a rude man...or both! We stopped going to Callie's because of the obvious reason and the lack of customer service. Instead you should take your family and friends to this charming, delicious place I found only 15 minutes away from Callie's called Season's harvest cafe (Yelp it) Not only will you find the most delicious Vegan food but it is also family owned and they are very WELCOMING over there. OK I'm not vegan only reason I ended up there is because my my sister is a vegan and I'm trying to transition over to being a vegan for 30 days. So I ordered a couple of things on menu and they were all excellent tasted so good and great staff was nice and polite and suggested some good things. They also have premade desserts and meals to go. We drove 30 minutes to visit this restaurant. We showed up around 4:30pm (it says they close at 6). Tthe door was open and the open sign was present. A lady standing at the register told us the kitchen closed 2 hours prior then directed us to a fridge for a packaged meal to warm up in the microwave. They were small and didn't seem appetizing. Let me start off by saying I hated vegan food when I was in LA- now I drive in from the city to pick up my meals from Callie twice a week and only eat vegan. If your scared and worried about what to get don't be- miss Callie DOES NOT MISS!!! Everything is lick your fingers good I mean even the little cracker she serves with her soups are so dang good. Don't ask me what my favorite items are because everything is delicious!!!! If you're not a vegan and skeptical please do your body a favor and have a healthy meal at Callie's I promise you- you won't regret it & you can truly feel the thought and love that Callie puts into each meal. Also I wanted to address some reviews about a mean older man- I believe Callie's heritage is German. My partners family is German and let me tell you the older generation is hardened and mean (ww2) and honestly nasty I've cried a few times but I have major respect for elders who have gone through everything they have. My daughter is vegan so I took her here and ended up loving the food. I adore their jackfruit quinoa tacos. I visit here whenever I can. Callie is sweet and explains everything. My daughter liked their drinks in the mason jars. We have decided to try everything once. The atmosphere is kind of spiritual and mindfulness with eastern philosophy rolled in one.
