The pho was so amazing here. The broth was very rich and savory. The food came out pretty quick. The service was really good. I wanted to try the eggroll. It looked really good too. The portions are very filling. The prices are really good too, and the ambience is pretty quiet a nice four dining with your friends or date.

I've been here several times and the Pho Tai has been consistently great. Saigon Eden, both the Alhambra and SG locations, is certainly my go-to for affordable and fulfilling Pho.

#19 ribeye beef pho

I liked it. With this rainy weather I was craving some pho and this place hit the spot. Came in on a packed Friday night. Inside is simple with a good amount of seating. It's a good place for small groups. I got the #19 ribeye beef. It was good! My friend got the udon noodles and they liked it. E also shared some yummy house rolls. They also have rice dishes. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Efficient staff. There's parking lots within a block or two.

Delicious rich authentic broth. The bun rieu is rich and has depth of flavor and they let you choose the kind of noodles you like inside. I got glass noodles instead of rice noodles. The prices are super affordable in this economy. Definitely a no frills place but you'll get good home cookin

There's lots of plaza and structure parking nearby. There's a front and back entrance. It's a great place for large groups with lots of seating. The staff are really friendly and quick. You'll definitely get a good portion of food for the price. I barely was able to make a dent on my plate. The rice was good. The imperial roll was really crispy and hot inside. I really enjoyed it. The garlic green beans were super tasty.

Pho and Che Ba Mau

Have come here quite a few times over the years and it's a solid pho place. Usually quick with no wait and a wide selection of Vietnamese food. Good for small or large groups Food 9/10 Their pho is delicious. Nothing above average, but it's consistent and flavorful with tender meat and fresh garnish. We asked for some extra limes and they gave us a whole bowl full of them which was perfect for me and my group as everyone loves limes to flavor their pho broth. Their che ba mau dessert was pretty good, but wasn't cold enough or didn't have enough ice causing it to become warm fast. Their warm sago dessert though was so comforting, not too sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Service 10/10 Attentive, quick, and cheerful staff! Atmosphere/aesthetic Clean and modern interior aesthetic. In a great location with a parking garage nearby and lots of other restaurants, cafes, boba shops, dessert places, and stores close by. A safe area to walk around after a meal. Will continue to come back here!

From eating here and reading the other reviews written, I'm wondering if we are at the same Saigon Eden lol. The spring rolls crispy and absolutely delicious w the dipping sauce. Would def come back to order just that. The pho though... the noodles were all stuck together and didn't taste like fresh noods. The meats for the beef rib and the oxtail were not tender and didn't fall off the bones. Again, didn't taste fresh. We left a lot of food on the table bc it really was not good at all. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't. 1 star for the phos. Service was quick and fast granted we came on a weekday around 4pm. There were only like 3 other tables. Parking structure is literally behind the restaurant like a quick little walk away. Otherwise you can street park also.

I haven't been here since the days this place use to be called PHO 79. I remember falling in love with the charbroiled pork PHO and I'm so happy they still have it! CHARBROILED PORK PHO: 5/5 The broth is out of this world! Smokiness from the charbroiled pork enhances the broth to the NEXT LEVEL! SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Everyone was so welcoming with lovely SMILES on their faces and the waitress was so patient with our order. You don't feel rushed here instead they make you feel comfortable like HOME. PARKING: I had to park on level 5 because we came during RUSH HOUR on a Saturday night evening. ROCK ON SAIGON EDEN!!!!!!!

Kobe Pho; add on meatballs. Very Good.

I loved Saigon Eden, but I won't be coming back to this location in Alhambra any time soon . The food is not as good as their San Gabriel location on Las Tunas. From lukewarm pho broth to dripping wet vegetables/herbs served on the same plate as pipping hot egg rolls, the overall meal was not appetizing. Highly disappointed.

Beef Rib Pho
Oscar B.

I'm a big fan of the tasty broth and meat quality in their pho. Regarding their beef rib pho, the beef ribs were so tender, juicy, and flavorful. These were possibly the best beef ribs I've ever had with a bowl of pho. The meat in their house special pho was great and high quality as well. The pho broth here might not be as good as the top pho places in OC but is still really tasty.

Bun Tom Thit Nuong
Sarah S.

This has quickly become one of my favorite pho spots. It's lowkey and straightforward and you get excellent food very quickly at a reasonable price. The staff is very eager and sweet and the move efficiently. I got the Pho Kobe and the meat is so tender, broth is rich and comforting. My boyfriend got the Bun Tom Thit Nuong and I got to steal a few bites, the pork and egg rolls in fish sauce were so delicious. The Thai tea is not super sweet or concentrated compared to others that I've had admittedly. The last time I came here I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and they serve it with a phin, it was sooo good I'll prob order that again next time. Parking was fine, but can be challenging, there are a couple of parking lots in the area, but sometimes they've been full. If you go on a weekday/Saturday, you can maybe try parking at the library ;)

Does the pho broth use soy sauce? Asking for a gluten allergy.

We do not use soy sauce in our broth. Thank you

Are the egg rolls the same as Pho 79's?

Yes they are exactly the same; the quantity, the way it's cut, the sauce, the herbs, and how they are packed. No changes at all. As mentioned on my review, Saigon Eden is essentially Pho 79 with all the same employees. They have not closed but only… Read more

Hidden Gem in Alhambra - Finally Tried It After 4 Years of Driving By!…read more I've lived in Alhambra for the last 4 years and drove past this place almost every day, always assuming it was just another hot pot spot. It never looked super busy, so I kept putting it off. Big mistake--don't let that happen to you like it did to me! We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. The sides/snacks were all hits too: the Popcorn Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, the Sesame Balls and Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake brought great texture and sweetness, and the Fried Milk Rolls were a fun surprise. Service was top-notch--shoutout to Icey, who took such great care of us. One of the best and most attentive experiences we've had in a while. If you're in Alhambra and love good food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't go wrong here--highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.

One of my favorite noodle spot in SGV area…read more My go to dish would be tomato sliced beef rice noodles- the tomato soup base is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The portion rice is very generous, I can never finish and would end up taking leftovers. Parking: they have a lot next to the restaurant, I never had an issue with finding a spot. The only downside is they don't have their AC on during the summer. I remember one time I was sweating while eating and it was very uncomfortable.

They specializes in Cantonese style wonton soup and congee. The wonton soup is my favorite and one of the best I've had in SoCal. I like getting the "two-item combo" noodle soup ($16) where you can pick two items (ex. wonton and beef stew) in a bowl of egg noodles. Delicious! The bowl also comes with a hefty portion of Chinese broccoli. The last couple times I came for lunch the place was pretty full but since service is fast you shouldn't have to wait very long, if at all. They take credit card. I've seen some reviews talk about it is dirty here? I never experienced or noticed that on my visits. It is no different from any other authentic, hole-in-the-wall style Chinese restaurant. Delicious, authentic, fast, and affordable. What else could you ask for?

FFS, they use super dry, super old chicken as the protein to make the congee with. Everyone knows you ought to use pork. There's zero pork in their congee! And for the pan-fried rolls, they are store-bought. They are not the steamed kind where authentic restaurants make in-house. They buy the $2.99 kinds from an Asian supermarket, slap some cooking oil and soy sauce onto the wok and call it a day. There's not even a corn starch slurry to thicken the sauce! It's like they either don't know how to cook good food or they think you the consumer can't disconcern what good food is. To add insult to injury, they charge you $11.50 for these piss-poor rice rolls when most restaurants add them to a breakfast combo for free. So you end up spending $11.50 for the porridge and another $11.50 for the rice rolls separately. Money gauging much?? Lastly, they charge 25 cents for every to-go container. They gave me two for my two items, so when the bill came, they tacked on 50 cents to the bill. How tacky. Spending money on disappointing food is another level of hurt. FAIL IN EVERY ASPECT. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT COME HERE.

When you come in, there is a sign that tells you to order before being seated. My sister and her bf had yet to arrive so I placed a sizeable order for the 4 of us. Luckily, they were there (waiting in the car) so I told them to walk over so we can be seated. I ordered 2 orders of chiayi chicken (1with white rice and 1 with brown rice), 2 orders of thousand layer pancake (1 with egg and 1 with egg and cheese), shrimp wonton, dance dan noodles, wonton noodle soup, hakka mochi and forbidden rice pudding. For drinks we had a few of the shaken iced green teas and 1 taro milk tea (my sister said it didnt taste like taro) Everything was great. I was surprised my sister's bf liked the food. The chiayi chicken was good with a bit of the chili sauce (sambal). The thousand layer pancake was good if you dip it in the black vinegar (mixed with chili oil and a little soy sauce). The shrimp wonton were surprisingly light and tasty. The dan dan noodles was balanced my medium thin sliced cucumber. Everything was portioned very small so you can try everything.we didnt get additional sides because were getting full. The desserts was what I was looking forward to and it did not disappoint. The hakka mochi reminded me of the soy pudding stalls in singapore that had mochi balls filled with a black sesame paste and peanut paste inside. This is what the hakka mochi was but in dry soft chewy form with black sesame and peanut grains to top it off. For my sister, it reminded her of the filipino dessert pichi pichi. The forbidden rice pudding reminded me of a soupy version of the filipino dessert biko. It had chunks of sweet potatoes and tapioca. Also very good but my bias is the hakka mochi.
