Saigon Eatery is what I would call a fast-casual style Vietnamese restaurant! Instead of a large bustling restaurant, there are only maybe about 10 or so tables inside. You order your food at the counter and take your seat, and the server/staff brings it out to you when it is ready. I went here on my lunch break, having a craving for pho and limited time, so I ordered their Saigon Pho, which I believe is their equivalent to a pho dac biet at other restaruants. Within maybe 5-10 minutes, I got my pho, and it was hot and tasty! Their broth is a little less rich than some other places that i have tried, but their pho is definitely cheaper than other socal locations. I think that their meat could be a little bit better, as I didn't like one of the meats that they included in their saigon pho, so next time I would just not order that meat. I devoured all my soup and went on my way back to work.

Came here with after seeing so many great reviews. This review is based on our first impressions. The restaurant is located in an L-shaped strip shopping center with a common parking lot. We dined for dinner on a Saturday evening. We ordered two varieties of Pho which were brought to our table in large bowls. At first glance it looked like a pretty big meal. But those hopes were dashed when we realized the bowls contained a whole lot of noodles and broth and very little meat. I mean a really little portion of meat. The pho lacked flavor and needed a good dose of the chili that was at the table. Everything considered we got two bowels of noodles and a little meat. The spring rolls were okay. They looked good but were a bit overcooked. The cashier was very nice. He told us they were out of pork chops (that my guest wanted to order). Other than that he was polite and brought us our food. I'd like to say I'll go try this place again. After all it was clean and friendly. But the seating on cold metal chairs was uncomfortable and, as I said, the food totally failed to impress. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants so next time I'll try another

Huuuge primp. What they would serve as shrimp cocktail appetizers.

Usually try their OxTail Pho (which is really good) but wanted to try something different. So tried their shrimp pho with beef broth (better than their chicken. Didn't know what kind size shrimp they would serve or how many. The pho was good but they had EIGHT large sized shrimp. Wasn't sure it was a mistake (not complaining) but five would have been sufficient. Saigon eatery is more like a fast food pho restaurant, so not much of an ambiance. Service and serving was timely.

One of my ultimate comfort foods is pho, so I've tried my fair share of pho spots. After my dental appointment today, I decided to finally try this place,and I'm so glad I did. The food was really good. I ordered the Saigon pho with egg rolls, while my husband got the banh mi, and honestly, everything was delicious. Special shoutout to the broth and noodles of the pho, so flavorful and comforting. Also, don't skip their Thai tea. No need for boba, the Thai tea alone is already perfect.

Let's start with the positives. The food was fresh, everything looked pretty, and they provided all of the condiments needed. I also appreciate how fast I received my order. Came right on time and was still hot. I ordered delivery through DoorDash. I've never been to this location and decided to try them for the first time. I ordered the oxtail pho, the broth had a nice flavor they give you a lot of broth and noodles. I've never tried oxtail pho before and I love oxtail so I figured this should be a good choice. The oxtail itself had a lot of fat and the meat was flavorless. Definitely wouldn't order it again. When combined with the soup noodles hoisin sauce, and some Sriracha it's pretty decent. I was hoping there would be flavor. It kind of taste like they boiled it. Wasn't a big fan at all. The meat was tender, so that was a plus. I ordered their egg rolls. Those were nice and crunchy. Pretty good flavor. Side note: my dipping sauce had a long curly hair in it so whoever works in the back might want to put on a hairnet. I understand the mistakes happen though. I also ordered their garlic noodles. These were fresh and flavorful. Had a nice garlicy taste I added shrimp those were delicious. This was my favorite item. I also ordered their salad. It was really pretty and bright. It came with a fish sauce I think, on the side. Really refreshing nice flavors. I also ordered their sandwich. Grilled beef banh mi. It was pretty good. The vegetables inside we're fresh. Nice and crunchy. No complaints. I also ordered their Ube coffee and Thai tea. The Ube coffee had great flavor, the Thai tea was really good as well

Got the garlic noodles with shrimp and a side of egg rolls. Solid garlic flavor in the noodles with a little bit of sweetness for balance. The egg rolls were crispy and not greasy at all. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Torrance Food Crawl #416 Saigon Eatery is located in a small strip mall. There is seating inside, a couple of tables on the outside sidewalk, or take-out. There is a general selection of Vietnamese dishes, and there should be something acceptable to just about everyone. My favorite dishes have been the Garlic Noodles and Vermicelli Noodles. Very good with shrimp or beef. The Phở's are also well worth trying. The shrimp and beef versions were delicious. Also, it's nice to have oxtail as an option, giving some indication that these dishes have authentic Vietnamese origins. The Bánh Mì Sandwiches are decent, and there is an option with Spam & Egg for something a little on the different side. Don't let the small size of the restaurant turn you away. All the foods are very good and easily comparable to similar fare in larger or better-known Vietnamese restaurants. Service has usually been excellent. In the past, there were some people taking orders who had a minimal knowledge of English, but recently that hasn't been a problem. There is plenty of parking. read more

First time at Saigon Eatery. I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich with pork and Thai Iced Tea, and both were very good. The server was very friendly and the service was quick and efficient. The restaurant is clean and feels airy due to the high ceiling and tall windows which extend the height and width of the front of the shop. Feels like a quick lunch spot more than a sit down restaurant though there are about 10 tables inside and a few more outside if you want to dine in. We didn't realize there was such a great Vietnamese spot right next to the car wash we always use! We ordered the Golden Bao, Oxtail Pho, Saigon Pho, and Saigon Chicken Wings. Everything was absolutely delicious! It was our first time trying the Golden Bao and Saigon Chicken Wings, and we loved them. The pho was excellent--you can tell it's made with care. fantastic spot for Vietnamese cuisine! I stopped by for lunch and was blown away by the chicken vermicelli - it was incredibly delicious, with tender, flavorful chicken, fresh herbs, crisp veggies, and perfectly cooked. Saigon is located right next to a car wash place and a 7-11- you would never expect to see a little Vietnamese restaurant right here! There's about 24 seats in the establishment and it's a very chill place. You can order with the worker or in the tablet. They take credit card and Apple Pay! I ordered the vermicelli noodles with the charbroiled beef and it was delicious! Great flavor and I really tasted the char. Portions are about average sized, not too huge or tiny. read more

Quick business trip, got hungry, and stumbled upon this place. I relied on Yelp reviews, but ended up disappointed. Food: Ordered the Saigon Pho. It was tasty but not worth $13+. The bowl was smaller than expected, so the portion was tiny. If you're not that hungry, it's okay. Service: It was alright. They advertised Happy Hour discounts but forgot to apply it; I had to bring it to their attention. Instead of a refund, they gave me a soda, which I couldn't drink. A simple math error, but still annoying. Ambiance: It's a mom-and-pop place with a fast-food vibe. A few tables for groups of 2 or 4, and you bus your own tables. I don't think I'll be back for Pho. There are better places that cost less and have tastier Pho. read more

Pretty okay. I had the pho with ribeye and brisket, the meat tasted oddly gamey to me. My husband said it tasted normal. I think this is the first bowl of pho I haven't finished, ever. It's also kind of a bummer that tendon isn't an option. The spring rolls came to the table wrapped to-go as another reviewer mentioned, which I didn't like. I came in today on my lunch and was planning on trying the pho but ordered the summer rolls instead. They are really tasty ! The portion was a bit small for me so I had to order more and decided on the peanut rolls (which I've had at other places because I love the peanut sauce!) Just what I needed! Came shortly after opening hours so I was the only one there (with more customers coming as I was eating) so my order was instantly attended to. The inside was clean and at a good plaza (7Eleven and Carwash next door). I had the Saigon Pho and took some vermicelli bowls to-go so I can have some delicious meal for dinner. I was looking for soup for lunch and came across this small restaurant. I came in with 3 other people, but there was no one at the register, so we had to wait about 5 minutes for a cashier to come to the front. This was a little past noon, so it is usually a peak lunch time. I placed an order and took my noodle to go. The flavor was there, and meat (brisket and short rib) were tender, but I could see a thick layer of oil/ fat in my soup. I had never seen so much fat/ oil in my pho noodle soup before and it was very disappointing. It seemed like someone purposely scooped the top of fatty soup and poured into the container... otherwise, noodle was al dente, and everything was good. I might try another time since it is very close to my work. read more

Wonderful sandwiches. Next time I would add extra jalapenos, because I like a hotter and crunchier taste profile. I also got their fries, which looked interesting, and the portion size was large, but the flavors of the meat, sauce, and cheese were too odd for my palette. read more

I wanted to love the tempura bar but I wasn't a fan of my tempura being cold. I prefer it being hot and fresh and since it was just sitting there it got cold after a while. I will definitely be back to have more udon. But maybe skip the tempura bar unless they have an option in which I can order it fresh. Restaurant was spacious and clean. Bathrooms were clean as well.

I visited Saigon Eatery and decided to try their unique take on a pho bowl. I was intrigued by their combination of brisket, meatball, ribeye steak, and boneless short rib, so I gave it a shot. The bowl was amazing with the various cuts of meat. The brisket and ribeye steak were extremely tender and the meatball was flavorful. The boneless short rib was definitely my favorite part of the meal. The broth had a rich depth of flavor and was even better with the hoisin sauce. Still through it all, they still hang out together. These three worked so well together, that they'd assist each other without speaking a word and/or glance, they just did it. They raised the bar so high how to be an outstanding server. Today, Nicole lights up the restaurant with her smile and personality. She does everything, literally everything. It's hard to comprehend how she keeps up that energy. She developed such a high standard in the food service industry, that she's definitely an asset to any restaurant or in any company. You can see her between taking care of guests cleaning tables, handling online food orders, organizing, etc. Her coworker mentioned he learned so much from her and wishes he can be at the same level as her on day. Nicole doesn't hesitate to share her knowledge with others, she wants them to continue to improve and hone their skills. The food is always delicious and guaranteed you'll enjoy your dining experience.

We've had a few hiccups over the last couple years, orders coming out wrong and/or out of certain ingredients but nonetheless we have continued to try supporting the business. During our last visit we found hair in the tendon of one of our soups. When we brought it up to the server, they responded that hair sticks to tendon during the cleaning process. Zero accountability or apologies, just that tendon has hair on it. We've been coming here for years and never found hair on our tendon before. Furthermore, the server clearly is unaware of the accessibility of the web. While she was trying to explain this, we had already looked it up and knew she was just trying to cover up. This is not a place you go to for good service but at least there was a time when the food quality balanced it out, unfortunately we will be steering clear from this place. Pho Hana in PV is a little more pricey but at least the quality has stayed consistent. It's either that or driving to gardens for us.

The noodles are plentiful and pork/crab meatballs are tender & flavorful. Another item I love is the sugarcane shrimp. It isn't too heavy, tastes well balanced with a hint of sweetness after chewing the sugarcane. The restaurant feels cozy and clean. Parking is easy because it's in a shared lot. The wait is never too long for me but it gets packed pretty often.
