Single's Meat combo with Sukiyaki broth, prime black angus flat iron, bean curd, fish tofu, and the classic hot pot spread of vegetables
Jeanette C.

I came earlier this week and was immediately greeted and seated at a booth closeby the entrance. A real compact & cozy set up for an impromptu solo dining experience. I tried their single's meat combo with sukiyaki broth, prime black angus flat iron, plus fried bean curd and fish tofu as my sides. You can order more meat/additional sides, but of course it would cost extra. At first, I was skeptical with the combo's fixed price. But I was pleasantly surprised to see how much food came for $33. It's just the right portion for a person with an average appetite. Perhaps I'll add one more side or ask for a little more napa cabbage next time. Meat quality for a non-wagyu item was still stellar. But if you want to splurge a bit more, there are high-end meat options/packages too. Sauce bar has an abundance of bases as well as your classics like mixed garlic and green onion. Their ponzu was a bit sweet for my personal preference, but by no means a big deal and nothing a little chili oil couldn't fix. Customer service is noteworthy as well. I took the time to look at the menu via Yelp before coming in. But my server asked if I had been here before and kindly gave me the rundown of how ordering worked. The other servers on the floor were also lovely & courteous, checking in on my dining experience from time to time. If you typically enjoy places like Jazz Cat or Boiling Point, I have a strong feeling you'd enjoy Mumu Hot Pot too!

Classic sets are perfect for 2 people! We tried the unique and light yuzu shio soup base and the classically sweet sukiyaki base. Three trays of wagyu meat, noodles and tofu, and packed vegetable tray. We didn't have to wait for a table for 4 people on a Friday night. It's very light and modern inside the restaurant with spacious booth seating and sauce bars available.

We got the combo for two people. It comes with 3 meat selection, 3 sides, and choice of rice or noodle. I was stuffed by the time we got to the end. I thought it was super worth it as we had left stuff that we couldn't eat on the plate. The veggies were fresh and the meat was tender. What I enjoyed was the broth didn't boil down like it does at a lot of the hot pot restaurants I've been to before. The sauce station was a cluster f though. People trying to read the recipes and people cutting going the wrong way. Legit bumped into 2 people going against the flow. maybe get better directional signs? I ordered the tendon and shrimp as the sides, the tendon cooked very quickly and it basically melted into the soup. The shrimp was okay... it didn't taste too fresh. Service was okay. They forgot my partners rice, and had to request it twice.

This is the classic vegetable, tofu, box with quail eggs added.

The restaurant is very plain and has no decorations but it is very clean. Some times simple is enough. The wait staff is superb and attentive. They don't mind explaining everything and helping you understand how the process works. The host was wonderful and patient while explaining everything. The young man who brought our food and turned our stove on was extremely nice and more than helpful. He did everything he said he would and in a timely manner. The meat and vegetables were of high quality and very fresh. The food was exceptional and I can't wait to go back. Mumu is going to be my new spot!!

Came last week and got the Classic set for 2 people (about $90 with tip) The quality of the meat, sides, and fish are great! Everything tasted fresh. The restaurant was clean and had a good amount of people for dinner Their sauce bar was also clean and full. Parking was pretty full

I've been here multiple times now - solo and with others. You conveniently order through the app once seated and can choose from one of the combos or order à la carte. I've done both ways and there is always more than enough food. Veggies are fresh and meats are high quality. I personally love the wagyu options, plus quail eggs, tilapia, and shrimp as sides. Everything feels balanced and the variety of broths are fantastic. I often eat solo and this is a perfect, affordable place to go for a nice, easy meal.

We went for the grand opening weekend of this new restaurant and everything was extremely organized. Currently, it's only waitlist via Yelp once you arrive but our party got seated in about 20 minutes on a weekend night. Service is good, but that you also order via QR code on the table. Parking was a bit packed since they were located near a market in the Del Ami Mall. They have a sauce bar with recommendations and I have to say that their signature sauce mix and sesame duo recommendations were the best! We ordered a combo for 2 and a set of the premium wagyu (also for 2). Each set comes with 3 sides, a large veggie platter, and a choice of noodle/rice. Their cocktails were strong and refreshing as well. I'd say overall this place is on the pricier side but the quality is what you're paying for! Overall ambiance was nice, and they have large tables which are perfect for large parties too. Each person gets their own pot.

Came here for the Grand Opening and we ordered the Premium Wagyu Set and a Single Meat with sides of tilapia, Australian M6-M8 Wagyu Beef Toro and miscellaneous vegetables and side items including Napa cabbage, tofu, bok choy, fried bean curd, Konyac noodles, and udon noodles. There is also a sauce bar with a variety of sauces and condiments. Everything was very good and very filling. The items came out quickly and the server was very attentive. The only con is the parking situation because it is very crowded since it is adjacent to Mitsuwa and the Del Amo Mall.

Great hotpot place. Their combos are generally pretty good. Your choice of veggies and noodles is also helpful. You can order everything via on the QR code which is convenient. The sauce bar has a large variety of sauces and condiments to make your own sauce mix. The food was decent and the hotpot with yuzu shio was great. Overall the quality of meat and veggies were great and the atmosphere was very clean and cool. Moderate noise was encountered and there can be a very long wait depending on when you go.

I had a great experience at the brand new Mumu Hotspot restaurant at Del Amo Mall. We arri ed right when they opened, so there was no wait, and the staff was welcoming from the start. The aesthetic is beautiful! Lots of soft cream and neutral tones. Very clean, modern, and calming. The food did not disappoint. The meats were high quality, and we ordered the combination for two, which ended up being more than enough with abgreat variety of options. Everything was fresh and well presented. My favorite part was definitely the sauce bar. So many choices to customize your flavors exactly how you like. They also have a variety of table setups, from cozy spots for parties of two to larger tables that can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, which makes it perfect for different group sizes. Overall, I loved it and would definitely come back!

Love the modern design of this place! The plates and meat come out all very well plated and organized and the cooktops are electric so you can control them yourself and don't need someone to adjust them for you! My partner and I shared the combo which was more than enough food for 2. We got the chuck eye, flat iron and short rib and would say the flat iron was the best and most tender! For sides I would recommend the tilapia. Their soup bases are pretty good, the creamy tomato is unique and the yuzu shio. Overall a solid and clean place to go with a group so you can experience sharing ingredients but still have your own pot!!! Service was good, people intermittently coming around refilling water and broth.

Nina W.

I came on a Friday night around 6:15pm and waited 45 minutes! Ordered the $75 meal for 2 (two of them because we had 4 people) plus the grape slushie drink. Overall, food quantity was good. For the amount you are full. The meat quality is excellent. The meat was tender. The veggie selection is good too. I like their sauce bar. Atmosphere was upscale and clean. It ended up being the same price as the AYCE price at momo paradise. If you want value and selection, momo paradise is the better pick. But if you want an upscale time for date night with good quality meat, mumu is the place.

I'm so excited that Mumu Hot Pot decided to open a location in SoCal! They're one of my favorite hot pot restaurants in the Bay Area, so I'm glad that they decided to expand. The Torrance location is in Del Amo Mall on the promenade side. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious with a sleek, modern interior. You scan the QR code on the table and order through your phone. Their Combos are definitely the way to go! The Classic is meant for 2 people and comes with 2 soup bases, 3 meats, 3 sides, 2 noodles or rice, and a large veggie platter. I like that they have a good amount of soup bases to choose from, including unique ones like yuzu shio and tom yum! We tried both of those, and the yuzu shio was my favorite. They're served in individual hot pots which is nice as well! For meats, we got the Prime Black Angus Beef Short Ribs, Australian M6-My Wagyu Beef Chuck Eye Roll, and Australian M6-M8 Wagyu Beef Toro. The Australian M6-M7 Wagyu Beef Chuck Eye Roll was my favorite--perfectly marbled and tender. For sides, my go-to is the fish ball with roe! We also got shrimp (4 pieces) and fried beancurd rolls. I typically get rice, but this time, we decided to try their house ramen. It was actually really good! I'll definitely be getting that next time! The veggie platter is very generous. It comes with napa cabbage, spinach, bok choy, broccoli, tofu skin, mushrooms, fresh tofu, and fried tofu. Everything tasted fresh! But my favorite part about Mumu is their unlimited DIY sauce bar! They have a huge selection of different sauces and sauce toppings. Ponzu, soy sauce, chili powder, tabasco pepper, chili crisp oil, sesame oil, sesame sauce, garlic, cilantro, and green onions just to name a few. They also have my all-time favorite mushroom sauce--a must try!

I was skeptical at first how much different the wagyu versus non-wagyu meats are so we tried the wagyu round versus the eye of round to compare an we can immediately taste the difference. The wagyu melts in your mouth, there's a stronger umami flavor, and overall sticks to your tastebuds much stronger than the non-wagyu beef. Both delicious but I did find the wagyu beef a lot more memorable and much easier to chew. The service here was fantastic and shoutout Alex again for pointing out the happy hour specials. Definitely will be eating their jbbq with wasabi every time going forward! +if you like intestine, you should definitely order motsunabe. We got the classic shoyu flavor, which was delicious. The hot pot is served with tons of intestine that cooked to perfection with a lot of veggies. We really liked dipping the intestine in the bbq sauce / tare, such a good combo! When you're done with majority of the hotpot, you can ask the server to add ramen to finish off the meal. The thick noodle complimented the soup really well and it was such a nice way to end the meal! +for appetizers, spicy snack nappa, which was super delicious fresh kimchi appetizer. 1000% recommend ordering this! -we also ordered karaage and mentaiko but they were forgettable so we wouldn't order that again I was impressed with the quality of some of the meat! Will definitely be back again
