The service was great, everything was fresh made to order and the decor was lovely. The beef was tender, flavorful and there was definitely enough to fill me up. We started with the egg rolls, which were just okay. It was not seasoned well and not as crispy and crunchy as I preferred. My sole reasoning for this visit was to try the angus beef short rib. Behold a new Vietnamese restaurant has come back !!' I was sad that my usual Vietnamese restaurant was closed and was searching for a new place. This new decor has much more accommodating seats, still have remnants of the previous restaurant but now has more tables and seating which is great when the next cold season. They added TV and extra two screens for menu and entertainment. Now for the food it was delicious still have pho and sandwiches but added additional rice and macaroni dishes. We have found our new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. We wanted to try out this new restaurant for lunch. My wife isn't a big Vietnamese food person but she went anyway. She tried the beef dish with onions and rice and her statement was this is the best steak I have ever eaten. I had the chicken wings and they were incredible. I also ordered the beef, jalapeño pho. Was really excited to try this place since there aren't many Vietnamese restaurants in the Roseville area. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't the best. I was excited to try their beef dishes, but they were completely sold out around noon. Since it was their soft opening, I gave them some grace . service was also pretty slow, even though it wasn't very busy. I ended up ordering the pho, the wonton soup and the chicken spring roll. The broth for both soups were flavorful and decent. Now I might be a bit picky about my sauces, but I did not like how the hoisin and Siracha sauces came out in tiny sauce dish instead of bottles on the table. Half the fun of pho is deciding how much sauce your ancestors would disapprove of. The spring rolls were pretty bland, the vermicelli was playing hide and seek because I barely noticed any, mainly consisting of lettuce and a tiny slice of cucumber Things took a turn when I found a piece of plastic in my food. Finally tried the restaurant that took over Urban Rolls... and wow, I wish I hadn't. We loved Urban Rolls. This new version? Feels like the "we have Urban Rolls at home" meme. Ordered the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken and a chicken bánh mì. The vermicelli bowl came with very few lonely chicken pieces doing their best. Urban Rolls used to pile on the protein like they were trying to impress somebody. This place? They ration it like it's 1942. The egg roll tasted like someone threw all the ingredients in a blender and said "good enough." The fish sauce? Apple cider vinegar. I'm sorry... what? Who looked at nước chấm and thought, "needs more kombucha energy." Even the pickled veggies were cut thick enough to qualify as a choking hazard. The bánh mì was okay-ish, but the bread was absolutely defrosted and reheated. You can taste freezer burn in your soul. Overall, everything was just bleh. I miss Urban Rolls. Now I have to drive to Rocklin like a pilgrim seeking the promised land of proper vermicelli bowls. Sad. I won't be back. read more

The fried rice was literally plain white rice that was pan fried in butter. It was all under-seasoned and bland--he gave me the store bought sweet chili sauce for dipping. Unfortunately the food was very underwhelming based on what we tried and it's too bad since we were hoping to get some flavor and spice! I visited Saigon Bites with my family for the first time today. We've been looking for a go-to pho spot in Roseville and hadn't really found one that was authentic and delicious until today. We got the chicken pho for our toddlers to share, and the Saigon Bites Pho for the adults (in the photo). Very flavorful, authentic broth in both soups! We also tried the Saigon Coffee (traditional Vietnamese coffee), and they were strong and flavorful. There was plenty of seating inside, and high chairs available for young kids. I really wanted to like this place because 1. West Roseville needs more good restaurants and 2. Roseville needs more good Asian restaurants. Unfortunately this restaurant is not good. Gave them a couple weeks to work out the kinks but they still need to improve big time. First of all, after we got seated, another couple came in after us and got seated and they took their order first. Not that big of a deal right? Well, we will get back to that. When the waitress finally got to us, we thought let's try the banh mi chao, not many restaurants around here have that. Well apparently either did they. They ran out, at 12pm. Ok let's try their Saigon signature rice dish. It's their signature dish, it must be good. I wouldn't know, they didn't have that either. Ok let's look again at their menu, pork chop rice dish is crossed out so at least i didn't have to bother trying to order that. Finally settled on the grilled pork and rice and a bowl of pho. There was a reason they still had pho as an option. Portion was small, amount of meat was skimpy and the tendon was hard. Grilled pork dish was mediocre at best. Waitress also served my meal without giving us eating utensils and I had to flag her down to ask for some. Not sure why they don't have them on the table like most restaurants. Oh yeah, about the waitress taking our order after the couple that came after us, guess what I saw her bring out to them when I glanced over. Yup, that banh mi chao they ran out of. So, poor service, small portions for the price and running out of food 2 hours after opening. I can't give this place a positive review.
