Amazed by the new spot for Saigon Bento!! We love the owners, and the food is divine. We were so sad they moved and HAD to make a special trip for some Vietnamese Sea Salt Coffee, Thai Tea, and spicy won tons! The new space is gorgeous, and the virtual teakup bot. First time trying this place and the reason why was because of the beef rib you get in your JURASSIC PHO! What a name?!? That name alone will draw the customer. It's rare for me to not put hoisin or sriracha. I just used that on the side to dip my meats. The broth comes out hot and my dad enjoys that in his soups where the broth can borderline burn your tongue. I love how simple the menu is to not overwhelm the customer. The menu is back and front. I kid you not this place is delicious!!! I'm picking when comes to Vietnamese food , being half Vietnamese, with an Vietnamese mom no one can cook better than her. My friend wanted to try this place an I said okay . It's a cute spot an when we walk in only one person was in there , a little worry one person. The guy was really friendly and gave us suggestion. I started with the rice bowl , wasn't sure if I like it . We check in on Yelp after we paid an there's a 20% coupon , (bummer we just paid) No worries I end up using the coupon , How did I use it after I Paid ?? Well the food was so delicious I took a meal home. The pork was so tender an the flavors !! The egg roll oh my first bite the flavor burst in my mouth. Everything an I mean everything was fresh . Quick Summary Best pho in town. Everything tastes home made and fresh! The place is small though and is catered to more take-out (takes a bit longer to get your order if you're dining in). Food- 5 stars Jurassic pho- awesome that they're being more fusion and progressive with the rib bone in your pho. It's a cool photo op, but I was more impressed with the broth (full of flavor and no MSG) and the beef balls (they were freshly made; not your typical frozen packages). Food is delicious! Reminder...use the 20% buy and try all the food! That Jurassic Pho is no joke. That bone is huge. We didn't try it but it sure looked good. I had the charbroiled pork bento with rice where i got to chose 2 sides. Owner said the garlic noodle was angel hair pasta. I'm asian, hook me up with the rice! The sides I chose were the spicy wontons and shrimp spring roll. This bento is legit a lot of food. The pork is nice and tender. Heads up the wontons are small and you get five. They are big enough on flavor. That sauce is amazing! The spring rolls fit your hand and you get 2. Are you feeling full yet? I topped it off with some thai tea with boba. Complete meal. Update: I just tried the Secret Menu's Chicken Pho and it is bomb! I gotta admit I don't usually order chicken pho but I do not regret this! The broth is rich in flavor but not an overpowered chicken flavor. Does not taste like I'm drinking chicken bullion broth. The dipping sauce compliments the chicken broth really well. I can say this is the best chicken pho I have ever had. Highly recommend it! read more

Was craving Pho last night so checked out some other Pho places to try besides our usual pho vy, pho hut and pho 88. Saw Saigon with some pretty good ratings so wanted to try the Jurassic Pho. Let me tell you, this did not disappoint. AMAZING FLAVOR out the gate. That first sip hit the spot. Added just a day of hoisin and Sriracha when I usually use a ton. I highly recommend this place. Service was just a robot but I don't care, it was kinda cute. Overall, I might make this my regular pho place. DELICIOUS!!! read more

Delicious Vietnamese cuisine! Very fast, fresh & full of flavor. Pricing is more on the high-end but it's worth every penny. Not a place you'd like to take a large party but for a quick lunch with a couple of friends, it's great. Chicken pho was juicy & hot. Spring rolls were the best in town! This is the second Vietnamese restaurant I have tried in Bakersfield. So far, I do love the idea that they have the bento where you can mix and match. I think its perfect if you are having lunch from work and you decide to eat here. The soup was good too though i prefer the thin noodles instead. Price was reasonable as well. The staff are nice. Plus, they have diff drinks as well that I plan to try next time. read more

I remember the previous times I visited, the Asian staff were super friendly. This time the waitress was so unpleasant and unfriendly like she didn't want to be there at all and acted like we were inconveniencing her. Food is bomb but 1 star for the service. You order and pay at the kiosk and get your own water so what am I tipping for? That waitress needs to fix her attitude. read more

Hands down the BEST Pho in town. Their rice noodle is special and it's the flat wider version. I've had my fair share of Pho as I'm from the Bay and frequent SoCal. I usually cook Pho myself, but this place makes it so well prefer it over my own cooking. Their other options are very good as well. Soo thankful for this place!!! read more

Hubby and I wanted to try something new in a city filled with Mexican and fast food...so checked Yelp and found Saigon Bento. This place is clean, modern and the food was definitely tasty. I agree with the other reviews here. Mike, the owner stopped by our table and we chatted about his restaurant...very nice man. We both had the bento boxes with the beef and the pork. Garlic noodles were also tasty as was my spring and crispy egg rolls. We'll be back as this will be our go to Vietnamese eatery. Support small businesses if you can. read more

The food came fast I was able to eat lunch in 30 minutes. I had the fried tofu appetizer. It is crispy on the outside, silky soft inside, it is like a guilt-free fried chicken.
