Best Vietnamese food in this area. Prices are a bit higher than Vietnamese restaurants down federal. The building is spacious and can house large parties. Lots of variety when it comes to the menu. My favorites are the canh chua and ca kho Beware of drowsy ko effect from some of the dishes haha. read more

This place is always popping! I never get my phone in orders incorrect which is crazy because they don't ask for a name or phone number. You basically just go in and they're like, "what'd you order?" and bring it right on out. The food is always good and the owner is always hustling and super friendly! Excellent place. Just visited because i was hungry and pho is my soul food. Ended up trying 'hu tieu' which is another traditional vietnamese noodle soup as i like to try new foods. Been coming for years. Most family functions held here. Food is fantastic and has not changed in consistency and quality over the years. Remains authentic, with good pricing, ample portions, beautiful plate presentation, fresh ingredients, and immensely tasteful. Unfortunately, I've experienced less than superior service the last two visits. Not sure if it's due to the growth and not enough staff or if it was just the poor service from the same waiter. I found him to be visibly impatient and short with me which I have never experienced in the many years of being a customer here and have always had cordial and friendly service. Not great service compounded with the addition of distracting TVs has really made a dining experience more like a bar stop. May as well add karaoke and a dance floor. The place has gotten to busy (good for them) and the noise level was miserably noticeable. Based on recent experiences I would recommend take out. The place has so much more potential. For now, it's good for carry out. Appears that at least one waiter needs more training in customer service and communication and how the attend to guests. It also takes forever to be acknowledged upon entry and seated with over 15 minutes to get water on the table by that same waiter while another efficient staff topped off the water on other tables twice before we got water. I must say that these negatives experiences have been with same male waiter that is newer because I have always had superior service with all other staff. Language was not the problem/ barrier because I spoke to him in his native language. Certainly would not recommend on site eating, for intimate conversations, or quiet dinners but definitely to go. I'm changing dinner plans with a friend that I set up weeks ago to eat here and will find another place to dine for spring rolls. Greatly disappointed in the quality of staff that has been more recently hired. Not a pleasant dining experience but to their credit it is one of the best places and my family's favorite for authentic Vietnamese food. This is coming from a Vietnamese reviewer. A pleasant dining experience requires more than just food. I'm going to rate low based on the dining experience but if there was additional rating for food taste and quality then a five would definitely reflect that. Part of this rating is because my mom loves this place and she is a super picky lady. Saigon Basil is really popular among Asians, so that tells you something. The menu is big and the food is always really good. The servers are friendly and the place is very clean and bright. I've eaten here tons of times and definitely will be coming back tons more. read more

This place is top-notch (food-wise). Service-wise? Not so good when they are busy. And they are frequently busy! Call in for take-out, and give them an extra 10 minutes from when they say it will be ready. It's well worth the wait! The combo meat plate is the best value for miles! So I have been going to this Pho for more than 5 years. My brother initially showed me this place and they are far superior to any other Pho restaurant I have every been to. Dishonest business!!!! Keep your receipt, and cross check with your credit card statement!! I gave a $3 tips for my lunch there. The charge on my credit card statement showed extra $2 in total. I have all my receipts when I check my credit card statement monthly, that's how I discovered they took $5 tips without my consent. I'm very surprised that they are so dishonest. While the food was okay, the service had some issues. First of all, the numbers associated with the entrée on the menu clearly mean something different to the waiter than it does to the people preparing the food. Unbeatable customer service. This place is busy everyday they're open but the staff manages large crowds extremely well; they tend to every table in a timely manner. The kitchen staff are also amazing in that they are able to keep up with the fast pace and simultaneously retain the quality and consistency of the food. The food here is served with generous portions, especially for the price. On top of the feast, the food was great! The area was comfortable and spacious. We had a group of 60 come in behind us and, while they did make some minor mistakes, they managed to treat us well and never forgot about us. So this place is mostly Vietnamese, no Thai dishes except for pad thai. About 10% Chinese food. They DO put the neurotoxin MSG in their food, so be aware. You can request to not add any, but not sure they will really do this as requested. Bring your own napkins, they found the cheapest single-ply paper they could find. Vietnamese egg rolls are very good. Vermicelli bowl looks great, fresh ingredients. I hope they keep up the good quality and remove that horrible ingredient, MSG. Ambience is comfortable and clean, they have Beetlejuice chairs and perfectly dimmed lights. Great neighborhood spot. read more

This is one of my favorite Viet places in all of Colorado. I don't come often, however, because I live in Aurora and this is kind of far but I have been here a handful of times with friends who wanted authentic viet food. If you want the real stuff besides pho, come here because they have anything and everything you want from bun bo hue to banh xeo to the giant fried catfish etc. If you're going to get the giant catfish, come with a big group of people and call ahead of time so they get it ready for you. I ate it by wrapping it in rice paper and dipping it in fish sauce which was soooo delicious. I've also tried their shaking beef which was delicious. Their pho comes either in small, regular, or x-large. This is kind of weird that they skip large all together. They give you a lot of meat and the broth is delicious as well. You can ask for whatever combinations of ingredients you want in your pho and you don't have to get what's stated on the menu. I have also tried their combination fried platter which was honestly way too much fried food. I felt a little bit sick afterwards but next time I will know to share with more than two people if I were to get that again. I also appreciate that this place puts fresh flowers on the table and that their tables are clean and they can accommodate huge groups of people like 20+. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and want some legit viet food =) read more

Went here on Friday evening, 2/26/16. Was shown to booth and had the feeling that they wanted us to hurry with our order even though we've never been there before. After we ordered and got our food, no one ever checked with us. We couldn't get anyone to get us anything else! My husband had to yell at a server to get them to notice that we needed some chili oil for my noodle. Food was ok, we've had better. Service was horrible! We were there for about 55 minutes and all the servers ignored us. We ran out of water in all four glasses and never got any refills. Their tip reflected their service! read more

My wife dine there a lot and it's my first time so my wife took me there, we waited for 30 mins and no one stop by and take our orders. They weren't really busy, one of the staff saw our table and ignore us. And 2 more staff walked by and didn't ask us anything. I won't be back. So we left the restaurant, I've should've called pizza and have them deliver it to me might be faster then the the servers there, they move like a snail. I don't think I've ever eaten anything here I haven't loved. Their bun bo hue is probably the best I've had (excluding my dad's, of course) and I love how they always give me tons of extra cabbage without an extra charge. It's also a great place for big groups of people and there's something for everyone in the menu. Definitely recommend this place to anyone! read more
