Pho T J had the worst pho we have ever had. First of all, to set the stage, we ordered takeout. I ordered the vegetable pho. The broth appeared almost clear and didn't have much more flavor than water. We also ordered the steak and brisket pho. Again, not much flavor. We got some wilted bean sprouts in a couple baggies and a couple sprigs id snack basil leaves. The proteins were very shall portions. The service was fantastic and food was ready quickly. The ambiance had a low key rundown feel. I was so hoping for some yummy pho on a cold night, but it wasn't found here. We both ended up throwing our food away. Yes, it was THAT bad. read more

Coming back from a long trip through the mountains this evening and we were craving something hot and comforting. Stopped by this spot because of the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff was super kind and attentive--literally every staff member stopped by our table, topped off our water, and made sure everything was good. We've been getting pho from here for years. Ironically it's always been takeout. Every time we order they are always packed. The inside seats a decent amount of people. I don't claim to be a pho expert, but my taste buds have yet to be fooled. A good pho starts with a wholesome clean broth. I'd come here just for the broth - no hoisin needed. I always order the large rare steak and meatball pho. I've only finished it once. It's a healthy serving. I typically have leftovers. They give you lots of condiments and veggies to add even more love to the pho. If you're ever in the Brighton area, stop in. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place is a hard to miss staple in downtown Brighton, it's red building and sign are on the north side of 7th and bridge street as you head through town. Not the fanciest of places, but rustic decor aside, the food and service were among the best I have tried. We ordered a meatball pho and chicken and rice combination plate. The meat with the combination plate was seasoned and prepared very well, the meat cut into small and flat pieces laid over sticky rice and everything was served hot. I especially enjoyed the sticky rice and chicken together. The pho was fantastic as well, I tasted less salt than I have at other restaurants but there was no lack of flavor, I was three bites in before I realized I hadn't added any of the sprouts, jalapeños, or basil leaf, all of which were fresh and had a great snap to them. I live in New Jersey and found this restaurant through other Yelp reviews and Pho sounded just right after a long day. We both had Rare steak Pho (P1) and it was fabulous. My drink was amazing (Thai iced tea), my fried pork dumplings were amazing, my P5 was amazing, and the service was very welcoming. The chairs and the table are comfortable enough to move fairly freely. I couldn't find another pho place as good as my go-to but Pho TJ is a real runner-up. Confused by all the 5 stars. The only thing I found consistent, is that the food is overpriced. I had the Beef Vermicelli & Beef with rice. These plates should sell for $7 based on food amount & quality of recipe but are $14. Soup is just food with water, to stretch the dish out, so I didn't try the pho. I will go once more, but for me it was an uneventful mouth experience & I was starving, after only having had breakfast at Starbucks, working 8 hours in construction, & after having 4 beers, so it should've been delish just based off of the circumstance, but it wasn't. After multiple visits, I have decided this is my favorite Pho Restaurant I have ever been to. The restaurant is clean; the service/waitresses are fast, friendly, and attentive; the food is affordable, flavorful, fresh, and filling! Another great part about this restaurant is the design inside - the red glittering booths, wood paneling walls, and the retro ceiling, it makes me feel like I am back in time as part of a Viet Cong roller skating rink clashing with my grandparent's basement. After you're in a food coma, seeing light pour in from old Brighton windows on such an oddly shaped ceiling is borderline divine. read more

We used to come here a lot, unfortunately there is a shift in the food since the change of ownership. The chicken is now plain and blah, noodles oily, and veggies had a bunch of water left in the container. The egg rolls were mushy on the inside-was not like that before as you could see the strings of carrots and cabbage-these were Not fresh. We've given three chances since the ownership changed; we're going to find a new Pho restaurant to frequent going forward. read more

Well the food was good and the bathrooms was clean! They brought the food out at a reasonable time, the waitress forgot the silverware and the menus, we had to ask twice! We tipped off of the price and not the tax included most people tip off the tax! The restaurant had the tax included and that just wrong, my tip is based off of my service and how I see the service not what the restaurant recommends, but people at lazy and glance at the ticket! Extreme weather conditions and hunger interrupted my long drive on the I70 and led me here. We ordered the medium Seafood Pho and the combination rice plate, which included shrimp, chicken, beef, and mini egg rolls. The rice plate may not be filling if you're starving.The pho was 7.25 for the small. We opted for the medium, which was a dollar more. The flavoring of the rice plate and broth were excellent. Total for both plates, $20. Service was friendly and there's plenty of parking. read more

I ordered coconut shrimp and spring rolls for takeout. I ordered online and it said 20 minutes. I arrived less than 15 minutes and it was ready. There were a few tables taken, so I was hopeful the food would be good. The coconut shrimp was oddly bland and the dipping sauce was so watery and runny, and was so vinegary I almost choked. I had to grab my own chili sauce to make them tolerable. The spring rolls I ordered without pork, just shrimp. They did leave the pork off, but they left everything else off too. It had shrimp, basil, and tons of vermicelli. That's it. Completely flavorless, I couldn't even taste the basil. The peanut sauce was as thin as a broth, not thick as I am accustomed to. It was also sweet, also unusual for me. Sadly, I won't be back. read more

I am rescinding my former 5 star review because Pho TJ is under new ownership and it shows. The pho is not as tasty as before and leaves an MSG after taste. The meatballs have changed from balls to some sliced mystery meat, not a meatball at all. Even worse, the Vietnamese egg rolls which were once the best thing in the house were very poorly executed, being burned on the outside and completely flavorless. I think at the very least they should experiment with the exotic spice called Salt. Finally the waitress claimed that they use the same recipes but that is clearly not the case. Enjoyed Eating Pho here when I traveled in Colorado (Brighton area) friendly staff and owners! They made sure we finished our food and was served well regardless the fact that we came at their closing time. The place has a perfect ambiance too! So chill! Absolutely love this place. So far the best pho I've had since moving here from out of state. It's within a few miles of where I live. They have been opened during the pandemic for to go orders. I usually call my order in, then head right over there. My order is usually hot and ready by the time I get there. Apparently, many people love Pho T J as much as I do, as it is always busy with people waiting for their order. No one waits for long, as the service you receive is prompt! It's the broth that counts when it comes to pho and Pho T J's is delicious!!! read more
