Absolutely love this place. So far the best pho I've had since moving here from out of state. It's within a few miles of where I live. They have been opened during the pandemic for to go orders. I usually call my order in, then head right over there. My order is usually hot and ready by the time I get there. Apparently, many people love Pho T J as much as I do, as it is always busy with people waiting for their order. No one waits for long, as the service you receive is prompt! New to the area and looking for good pho. Mistakes were made as this was the worst pho I've ever had. Should have known better when we walked in and the restaurant was dirty and smelled bad. Despite my better judgment, we tried it anyway based on several good reviews. The pho is so heavily seasoned with anise that it tastes like medicine. I tried doctoring it with sriracha and hoisin to no avail. I literally left thinking that the people that raved about this place have never eaten pho before or have no tastebuds. read more

I have been to this place a number of times now and am always greeted with a delicious bowl of pho. Consistency is key and they've got that down at this place. The portions are standard for a pho restaurant so no complaints there. By far the best pho place in Brighton. The Vietnamese egg rolls are always a tempting addition to a warm bowl of pho as well. Love to get take out. They are always more than accurate on how much time it will take to get your order with next to no wait time in the restaurant. Really love the Spring Rolls. Thrilled to find a place with tendon and tripe in their pho. Sadly both were undercooked. Broth was not terribly flavorful but eventually improves with the beef juices. Ingredients are fresh. Impressed that the portions are generous and service is so quick - maybe it's different for other dishes. Prices are very reasonable and perhaps I would return for their other items if I'm in the area. This is a small no frills family run business and we were seated promptly. We usually get pho or noodle bowls and with every order we always get their pan seared gyoza ...hands down the best I've ever had. They are huge! They don't skimp out on the meat. Whenever I am sick, I crave their pho. Order the large to go and make 4 meals out of it. Very impressed with their friendly service! They "thanked" us over 5 times during our 1st visit. This is our 2nd time here and the service is still pretty consistent. They offer a nice basic menu of pho and the charbroiled meat rice and vermicelli dishes. And of course some appetizers including the famous spring rolls and vietnamese egg rolls. The pho broth is really good too. And today I'm trying their combo vermicelli bowl - the bowl is huge! Ok... Off to eating now! ;) Definitely glad there's now a "closer" pho restaurant. We have been ordering TJ Pho for years. We ordered lunch for a Monday but we came to find the business was closed on Monday. It let us place the order and scheduled it for Tuesday the next day. When I called today to ask for a refund the person on the phone laughed and told us it was not his problem. I told him we are going to leave a bad review and he made sure he laughed for about a minute and then hung up the phone. After years of giving this place our business we will never go back.
