Lunch - Best BUN ever! Grilled Vietnamese Pork Sausage Bowl with egg roll. We have eaten a lot of BUN over the years as we travel all over the US -but not as yummy as this. Fresh greens instead of shredded lettuce and not sure why but the fish sauce added a little more yummy to it. The egg roll was unique as well. Would definitely eat here again.

I hate to leave Chez Thuy a bad review because it holds nostalgia for me in we used to go here 20 yrs ago. Found myself in Boulder and thought let's go! Well upon entry the place is old and not well kept. We sit at a booth and order spring rolls and Vietnamese egg rolls and both were good. Next my guest got the pad Thai with chicken and I got the beef noodle bowl. The chicken on Pad Thai was so rubbery and dry. When I got my beef bowl I tried to cut the meat and although thin it was hard to slice I had to pick up with my hands and piece and it was like jerky. Also bummer they totally skimp on daikon carrots and cucumbers in noodle bowl. Instead they put mixed greens in it. Was very disappointed and will not be back,

Looking for a new Pho place in Boulder and found this place from Yelp. Local place with friendly staff and good food. Large selection of food and quaint establishment. The spring rolls were exceptionally good. Shrimp and veggies was exceptionally fresh. The rare steak Pho was good. The broth was a little greasy but the flavor was on point. The combination fried rice was also very good.

This place used to be great! It got kind of expensive, though. The food was okay. I was shocked how few people were in on a Saturday night. I don't think I'll be back.

Might not be the prettiest looking place on the inside, but the food is always pretty tasty. Workers in the back were yelling, but service was speedy.

This restaurant seems to be fairly busy most of the time, so we decided to give it a try since we were in the area. Stopped by for dinner on a fairly busy Friday evening. I got the Five-Spice Duck, which came with two 1/4 portions of duck on top of a bed of Vietnamese slaw. I must say I am fairly disappointed in the dish itself. The duck is overpowered with a very very sweet coating, which isn't usual for a Vietnamese or Chinese duck recipe. The Vietnamese coleslaw was fresh and good, but the fish sauce with it was not as flavorful as fish sauce should be. IMO, it is over priced as well, at $24.99 for the entree. There are much better authentic Vietnamese restaurants.

Additions that come for the Pho dishes.

"Fantastic food, very generous portions, so-so service" We went there with four adults and four children and we ordered food which was outstanding: * Chicken Pho with noodles and veggie (x2) - Medium sized: It was outstanding, fresh, and it was a HUGE portion for one (me and my niece ordered this and while she is 6 she loved her food). * Beef Pho: My brother-in-law loved his food * Fish cakes: It comes with noodles and three cakes. I wish they would have told us it came with noodles so we wouldn't have ordered extra noodles for our Pho (service was so-so) * Beef satay: Two kids ordered that and the beef was super soft and they enjoyed it. * Grilled chicken on the cabbage (cole slaw): My wife enjoyed it but it was a huge dish for her. She was satisfied. All in all I will tell you that this place has a great atmosphere, awesome food (both taste and portion size), but their staff needs a lesson in how to be more courteous and welcoming.

Probably the worst green curry I've had, very bland. Menu seems to be trying to cover way too much territory. Service was abrupt.

Food is always good, extensive menu. Service is very good, and the ambiance from Mike, Nee, and others is friendly. A regular on my list.

Although the prices may seem intimidating ($15 a bowl), the portion was HUGE. If you're really hungry, you can get a large size for $8 more. Ambiance was cool. I unfortunately have to give this spot a 2.5/5. My friends…read moreand I were looking for a late-night, Asian spot and we stumbled across Pho Kitchen. When we looked at the menu, we were very taken back by how expensive a regular bowl of pho was ($16-18 for a regular size). Not to mention, this was the first time we experienced a Pho restaurant not having any hanh dam so we were surprised. For context, my friends and I are used to the Vietnamese food scene in Houston so we're aware that we're pretty spoiled. This is the following list of items that were ordered: - Pho Dac Biet The soup game was unfortunately weak. It tasted pretty watered down and lacked flavor. Meat and noodles were fine though! - Goi Cuon (Shrimp and Pork) The Goi Cuon itself was decent but the sauce was... interesting. It was almost too sweet, my friend even mentioned that it had a slight hint of coconut which I was able to taste as well. I'm not sure if people in Boulder do Vietnamese food differently but the sauce was personally not for me. - Passion Fruit Green Tea w/Boba This was just okay. The boba and passion fruit seed was good. We were also able to taste the tea but it had an interesting aftertaste to it. I do appreciate the staff members and their hard work! Not to mention, most restaurants close so early in Colorado but this one is open until 11 PM on weekends!

The difficulties with are in my previous reviews. Now much of the facility has been torn down and the ongoing construction of the space to be city staff offices and the bigger space to be affordable housing had become impractical to use or eat at the restaurant. The noise was deafening. In January they moved to a food court on the Hill. This is a lower level of a building with other tenants. There are about 6 food kitchens and each time I have been here this summer and fall, this is the busiest at lunch. Since the seating is communal there is always space and it is clean. The staff here have been really nice. If I'm preparing a meal at home or supplementing leftovers, I have stopped by to get a fave vegetable, baby bok choy, steamed and seasoned and at an affordable side dish price. Today my husband and I walked down for lunch and ordered the Tuesday special street crepes some of the owners have continued from the long gone first owners from Beijing. As with other succeeding owners, they too have continued to use lettuce rather than the bok choy in the crepe. It also has some ham, scallions and crispy wonton bits and a nice spread of hoisin. It is topped with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds that I love. Another difference from the original is that the ingredients of the crepe itself are not well mixed together so many large patches of separate egg white and yolk makes it harder to hold together and not as pretty. But it tastes just fine but original years ago was addicting. I will continue to come here try more of the food from the current owner. I love beef noodles and have 2 other places I can get a good version but this is the most walkable for me. They do very nice prep for takeout which is good too. At lunch it is busy with CU affiliated students, staff and faculty alike. Every item I have had at Flower Pepper is hand made and prepared for the customer.
