I really like a lot of things about this place. For one thing the Pho broth here may be the best. I really like the broth here. The meat (Rare steak & flank) is good but not the best. The place itself, the ambiance I would say is average, not bad but nothing special. The egg rolls aren't really anything special, other places are better- I recommend the spring rolls they are better here; but still not mind blowing by any means. The Pho broth and other broths are the best thing about this place. Truthfully, I would eat here more often except for 1 thing that is a major detractor for me, flys. Both times I visited this place there were flys buzzing around me. That's a significant annoyance. Ultimately, I will probably give them another chance because of how much I love their broth but if there's a bunch of flys buzzing again I might not continue to go. Happy eating. read more

My nephew is very much a pho lover. He has tried several Vietnamese restaurants in the area. This location is his favorite. We stopped by for an early dinner. (Before 5pm.) There was a group of about 7 Vietnamese people seated in the center. Another couple was seated near them. The four of us were seated by the window. I ordered an order of egg rolls and an order of spring rolls for the table. Both were 2 rolls cut into smaller pieces. That is fine, but they weren't worth the price we paid for them. The goi cuon were loosely rolled. The fried rolls were greasy. One positive, though, was the amount of fish sauce nuoc mam we were brought! Joe got a chicken rice dish. I thought it might be too highly spiced for him, but he ate most of it. My niece got a vermicelli bowl that she attacked, with gusto. My nephew and I both ordered medium sized bowls. I asked for a cooked flank and eye of round version. Good broth flavor, but darker than it should be. I think they boiled rather than simmered their stock. I was grossed out by several additions of tendon to my bowl. I know many people find that to be a delicacy, I do not. Nice amount of basil, limes, and jalapeños. I got a green tea drink, not realizing it was a super sweetened tea drink. I wouldn't have ordered it otherwise. We were practically ignored, which I find sad. This was a nice little hidden gem we found on our way back to Colorado Springs from Estes Park. Service was patient despite our late arrival. In fact, were actually the last table of the night. Super kind and friendly staff. Seriously! My family and I enjoyed a nice variety of dishes from their menu. Their pho was delicious as was their Bun Bo Hue (BBH). The BBH beef could have been more tender, however. They also skimped on the egg rolls. They were basically two tiny egg rolls which were cut into even tinier six pieces. Despite their minuscule size, they were crispy and delicious. They use fresh ingredients and vegetables. I took my nephew here to his favorite pho place and also to treat him for his good deed at school. He ordered his favorite pho, medium rare steak and a coconut juice. My niece and I just shared some appetizers of crab cheese wontons and eggroll only orders. I would have to agree with my nephew that the broth and pho here is delicious. He was happy with his pho. Our appetizers were super delicious and we could've had more, but we were waiting to head over to grab some banh mi sandwiches for dinner instead. The appetizers held us over. Great place for lunch before going grocery shopping at POM next door. The food is good, atmosphere and service fine. Prices have gone up, but it seems to be the trend everywhere these days. Last time I had one Vietnamese crepe ($10 or $16 for two, a little steep for lunch!) and ended with a hot Vietnamese coffee, sweet enough in place of dessert. Perfect! read more

Ive been going here for a few years and out of all the pho places me and my friend go to this place just keeps us coming back! Food is a 10/10 every time and any time I go it always taste phenomenal Service- top tier every time I go in. I'll walk in and within seconds already have a table but that's not even the best part. The best part is when you order the food comes out almost instantly it feels like. My friend is viet and he says it's almost as good as his grandmas home cooked meal and she's the real deal so if he's saying it's that good and he NEVER says anything good, then I'd say it's really that good! I went on a date to pho 79 and it was super awesome! I got the rare steak pho and a mango slush w boba and it was super flavorful and delicious. The service was also great and the food came out very quickly. It was also reasonably priced and the ambiance was very warm and inviting. This used to be our number one place for Pho. We didn't go to Pho Duy because the owner they're active as if he was our boss and he was going to tell us what to do. Pho 79 used to be opposite, but now it is become more like Pho Duy. They used to have a young man in late high school or early college working the phones, serving the front desk, and he could speak English well. He had great customer service skills. Now they have a guy who can't understand English and his English is not understand able. As a person open to all cultures, this is disgraceful when operating in the United States. So tonight was a disaster. I asked for extra beef. and they were chintzier now with paying for an extra order tof beef han they used to be with a standard offering. I asked for Vegetables in place of noodles due to my health concerns and it was a pretty piss poor offering. My wife said that her amount of chicken on her pho ga was very very chintzy. I told her that mine was the worst I've ever had. We are not coming back until they can assure us that they aren't going to rip us off on the size of protein, and that they will give us enough protein to fill us. I also am not going to order out anymore if they don't get somebody who can speak f$#%ing English. This was disgraceful. The level of communication was 35% at Best. These people need to contact pemss.com to learn how to treat customers in America. They need to set up an appointment and fix the way they interact with Americans. This place is phenomenal! I have been here several times now and every time I have visited, I've been sooo impressed with how delicious and fresh the food is. I always get the Pho #5 and the tofu banh mi. The pho is always so hot and the herbs & veggies so fresh. The broth is so flavorful. The banh mi bun is incredibly flaky and delicious. Waited quite awhile to order, then waited for shrimp spring rolls - the orders came out one at a time. They were small compared to other restaurants. The pho that took forever, again, with rare steak and brisket was disappointing. The portion, again was small. The brisket was either leathery or like a fatty balloon. The actual pho broth had a nice flavor and the Vietnamese iced coffee was really yummy. Service was rushed - they were busy though. Also my son wanted a boba milk tea, they told us that they were busy and were out. However when we went to pay, they were making boba for another customer. I didn't realize I hadn't written a review of this place. My hubs and I've been. Comin here for years. It's our number 1 pho place and we go out of our way to eat here. Sadly with this pandemic, we aren't able to eat in. So we got to go orders. We noticed there was a $.35 up charge for each order. It added over $2 to our total. When we got home we noticed a steep reduction in food. I'm talking 3 pieces of rare steak in the combo for my hubs. I get the marinated grass fed beef and I ordered extra. One package was normal size, the other was half. I mean really??? And then the noodles were also cut down. The bean sprouts we're old and they literally gave us a dot of Sriracha. I had a late lunch at Pho 79 today. It was my first visit. It's a nice place with pleasant music good service and food was very yummy. I had egg roll appetizer, chicken curry with noodles and a strawberry milk tea, no boba. My first time trying milk tea and it was a pleasant surprise, so fresh with just a light sweetness. Tried Pho 79 for the first time. Dined in. Average to slightly above average food quality. Way overpriced. $12 for a smallish medium bowl of spicy vegetable soup ($9 elsewhere) $16 for 2 Vietnamese pancakes ($10 - $11 elsewhere) Kids pho way overpriced for tiny bowl of noodles and chicken with no veggies. Service was average. Nothing special, but that's what you get with pho. Overpriced food with small portions is like salt in your wounds. If we are in the area again, we'll go to the regularly priced Golden Bowl in the same complex, or to the regularly priced Pho 79 across the street. Both of which also have good food. read more

I'm a regular here, have been for years, because of their delicious soup and incredible customer service! I almost ALWAYS order the Combination Soup and it's amazing, as well as their crispy egg rolls. Yum. The hot soup really hits the spot during the winter time especially. The employees are really nice and they're constantly checking on you to see if everything is okay or if you need anything, they pay attention to their customers! Their prices are very reasonable too. You can choose where you'd like to be seated, if it's available of course, and you pay up front once you are done. They also have a huge boba menu with lots of different flavors and they're really tasty (I personally like the mocha flavor)! This is one of my favorite places to eat! read more
