I'll never order from here again. I ordered an all beef pho that came with 3 different types of beef but there was barley any in there. As well as the noodles was such a tiny portion, it was mainly just onion, along with not even 1 full beef ball, I ordered my beef sandwich with no jalapeños and it still came with jalapeño and the smallest slice of beef. And the toppings only came with 3 jalapeños, 3 mint leaves and one small slice of lemon. Never again, this cost me $45 for everything to come out in small and terrible portions or just wrong. I'm pregnant with the flu right now and this was extremely disappointing.

Tofu fried Tofu Rice Plate

Very traditional and community rooted. This family restaurant knows what it takes to carry-on they been around for years. I just wish they would allow requested combinations or additives. For example....I wanted tofu and vegetables in my fried rice ... I was told they couldn't do that. It's either one or the other not combining. Service is very attentive and friendly.

Pork spring rolls with a pre packaged sauce.

I wouldn't come here again.... Maybe for the pomegranate chia lemonade but that's it. I was surprised the place was empty on a Saturday night. But whatever, the place looks cute from the outside, it has good reviews...why not? First off, the place has an off putting smell. Our server was very nice and friendly. We sat in the front by the window. The table was very sticky and greasy. Not cute anymore. The soup selection was limited. With the option to add additional protein and veggie toppings. I was disappointed when I didn't see tendon as one of the options. We ordered 2 Supremes. And 2 orders of pork spring rolls and 2 pomegranate chia lemonades. The rolls came out first with a pre packaged serving of a sauce. Huh?!I was expecting peanut sauce. I asked for peanut sauce. They did t have any. Again, huh?! Anyway, spring rolls tasted off. The soup was just ok. Service was great. But unfortunately my experience was not a good one. It wasn't terrible either, but I just wouldn't come back. As I leave my review I see they are temporarily closed. I wonder why ..

Always amazing! Food is always piping hot and fresh and service is always super super quick. I love coming here for lunch or dinner. I'd recommend the filet mignon pho or rare steak pho along with any type of spring roll! The Thai tea is also super good too :)

I ordered the pork bahn mi and loved it! The meat is crispy and savory and the veggies are super fresh and flavorful. Quick service and a happy vibe. Will def return and try the pho in person since pho is always best eaten in person!

Tasty pho and fast service. The pho taste was pretty standard and delicious. I went on New Years Day and it was open still which was very nice. Perfect for a chilly day. The shop is a little small but roomy enough with available seating.

Back again.. this is my go to spot for Vietnamese in the area. Food is always fresh and service is prompt and attentive. Ambiance is ok I just order to go mostly because parking in Monrovia sucks. They also have the best eggrolls around. Would recommend if you're in the mood for Pho....

Went to Saigon Ave for lunch and we shared a couple of dishes. We started with the pomegranate lemonade w/ chia seeds and the drink was perfectly sweetened, and very refreshing. We ordered the pork spring rolls, the shaking beef banh mi, and the pork vermicelli. All the dishes were very tasty, no complaints. We would definitely return again. The service was very friendly and the restaurant has a nice warm welcoming feel.

Disgusting unacceptable

we are staying at the hospital nearby and ordered a few items (we order from local spots every day for cancer patient getting treated) the Thai ice tea had bugs ontop and under the lid. His sandwhich had a hair in it ! (the hair was half black half white) horrible service called but got no answer . I want them to be aware because food safety should be top priority. they do not deserve the A on their window . I hope staff sees this because the food you prepared went to someone who wanted Thai tea and is getting treated for cancer.

The food is excellent! I have had their egg rolls, beef pho, pork banh-mi sandwiches with fried egg (and without twice) and Vietnamese coffee. This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant for the Arcadia/Monrovia area. The interior is dated. But the service is excellent and he always has a smile on his face. He is super friendly! The restaurant is located on a small side street off Myrtle in downtown Monrovia. There is free street parking all around. The pho noodles are flavorful and comforting . The egg rolls are crunchy and you can adjust the sweetness level for the ice coffee. I also love their sandwiches. Overall, the food is consistently good.

Love their bahn mi sandwiches. Pork or filet mignon are our go-to's. They're about 10" sandwiches on French bread

Everything on it? Why yes of course. Michael rattled off the ingredients and I said yes to everything. Put it all in there. OK the lie part... Michael asked whether my sandwich was for here or to go, and I said to go. Gulp. And there goes the lie. Now, technically, I did take it out of the shop and into my car. But when you tell someone you want it to go, that means you're going to take it home and eat it. And I couldn't wait. I just couldn't. So there I was, parked in front of the shop, unwrapping this overstuffed beautiful sandwich because come on, do you really think I can drive all the way back to Pasadena smelling the warm pastrami grinder without reaching over and fumbling with it? Dear Lord, I'll get in an accident. And I have no intention of telling my claims adjuster that I rear-ended someone on the 210 because of a sandwich. Now in my own defense, I only ate part of one half, and then I went home and finished that half. The grinder is just too big to consume all at once so I wrapped up the second half and that's lunch tomorrow. For the price of one sandwich, you're actually getting two meals. You can't beat that. OK anyway, another great eating experience. They've expanded the hours and frankly Monrovia's loss is Duarte's gain. Michael said his father Andy still gets to the shop at the crack of dawn and makes the bread. The bread is nothing short of a gift from heaven. Everything in this shop says made with family love, and we get to benefit. Every time I come here I have East Coast grinder flashbacks. It's really that good. Congratulations on the new location, and I wish you many years of continued success. And sorry about the lie, but it's sort of your fault. Next time? Gene's Special.

I particularly enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor porch, with fresh plants all around, inside and out on the periphery. The smell of this crepe was not pleasant either. It was not good. Not recommend their crepe. On the other hand, the French toast was good with boriche bread. It tasted good with a balance of sweet and buttery. Added eggs and bacons for combo. Great portion for around $20. Berries, fruits, and salads tasted fresh here. Pistachio croissant was okay with flaky and crispy layers. It also had a pistachio cream filling inside. Not too sweet and it was good. But I think it would be better if it was warmed. I think the portion sizes were good for a brunch. Nice chairs and tables inside to try to create the feel of a cafe in Paris.
