"Sagres" Is One Of THÉ "BEST" Restaurant's In The City Of Fall River & On The Entire Southcoast of Massachusetts. It's "Classy",Formal Dining, But It's Not Overly Pretentious Or "tight-Assed". The "Ambience"Is Calm, Comfortable & Relaxed. Cozy & dimly Lit, Much Like a Fine Dining Establishment Should Be. And The Portuguese Food Here Is Very Good, Authentic & Flavorable indeed. And It's Reasonably priced*for High-End Dining Anywhere, (Compared to The Even More "Expensive" Options In Other Cities Like Boston Or New York)*, Considering It's Quality & Somewhat Generous Portions of Food & Great Fresh-baked Portuguese Rolls with ReaL Quality Butter Pat's Are a Good Starter for An Appetizer, But, I was just alittle disappointed with They're "Tiny" bowl (Or Cup)? of Portuguese Soup (My Mother Makes It Ten Times BETTER!) And It Almost Seemed to be too "watered"down,Simple & Almost "Flavorless",( Hmm Maybe I Should've went with the Caldo Verde Soup Instead?) Other Than That tho', Everything Else Was Great! So I gave it 4 Out of 5 Stars But The Rest of My MeaL Was Incredibly Good & Delicious! My Entreé was Cooked to Order* As I Requested (Medium-Well done)* As I Had Ordered Their Portuguese Steak* with Red pepper's, Smothered In a Delicious Brown Sauce Served with a Side of Sauteéd Green beans & A Sunnyside Up Egg On Top Over My Steak, Also Served with a Side Of Seasoned Rice, Superb!(My Parents Ordered Baked Fish & Chicken dinner's Which They Seemed to Enjoy ) And After I Ate, I was pretty Much Full & "Satisfied" with My MeaL An Enjoyed it with A Nice Glass Of Vintaged Portuguese Red Wine. I passed On dessert this First time, as I was "Stuffed" Already, But I Vowed Next Time I Return I will definitely reconsider it for Sure. And As Far As Service Goes, It Was Timely, And Great! I didn't FeeL "Rushed" Or Overly Bothered by Our Portuguese Waiter, Who Was Awesome, Polite, Friendly, Very Knowledgeable & HelpfuL, Also He was Very Handsome & Pleasant to Me & My Parent's, Who Which I Took There So They Could Use Their $100 Gift Certificate*towards Our Dinner, Which I Gave Them Last Christmas So We Could All Experience "Sagres" Finally for The First Time Together. Needless to Say, They & Me We're Pleased & Overall We Enjoyed Our Dinner & Had A WonderfuL Experience there. I Will Definitely Recommend "Sagres"* to ALL Of My Friend's & Family & Will Return there Again for Sure! (With The Exception* of Their Portuguese Soup"& Very Overly Crowded Trapped Parking Lot*, Which Is Always Packed & Tightly Spaced, Be Careful Not to Get "Boxed" In! As We Did, We Couldn't Get Out of Their "Tiny" Side Parking Lot, And I Had to Run back into the Restaurant To Ask Management to Get Some Of The Other Customers to Move Their Cars So We Could Leave Their Lot!? But Thankfully, They Did Respectfully, So It wasn't a major Problem. I Suggest You Park On Colombia Ave. Somewhere & just walk into the Restaurant, Especially On the Weekends, It's Always "Packed"! Which Is Good Thing For Their Business Maybe, But Not So Much for their "tight" Parking Situation. But Overall ? It's Worth Visiting. A Great Dining Experience In Fall River*. Go Experience it for yourself! read more
