I had one tech that put some powder all over my house, the next tech that came said the previous one had no idea what he was doing. They love to focus on treating the outside areas, and do nothing about the inside unless you insist. My latest experience is they were scheduled to come out and treat the outside areas, in the email notification it says no one needs to be home. Tech (Kenneth) pulls up, comes to the door, speaks to my daughter, then goes back to the truck. Comes back a few minutes later and HANDS my daughter a door hangar that says no one was home and call to re-schedule. It also says my account is past due. Yes, my account is past due, because Sage has NOT been charging the payments to my debit card like they are supposed to be doing. We are very happy with Sage Pest Control. They serviced the inside and outside of our home at the first application and have continued doing the outside quarterly for a year. When we purchased our home last year, we had many ant hills in the yard and bugs entering the home under the doors. With the first application, the ants were gone and if a bug did come in, it died once it touched the barrier. Even if a fly came in and landed on the window seal, it died because of the window barrier. We don't have bugs in the garage because of the barrier and it has been almost a year since the first application. Sage uses products that are kid and pet safe which is a big deal for me. We plan to continue using Sage and allowing Doug V. to service our home and yard. read more

We have been using Sage for about a year now and have been very happy. We live on a wooded lot and the incidence of ticks on our dogs and red ants has drastically decreased. The technicians are all professional, knowledgeable and courteous and the office staff is great. We had a problem with our last service as a new guy was sent to us but we contacted the office and without any problem a repeat service was done today. Doug Vandervort came out today and was very helpful. He explained everything he did and was very knowledgeable and we look forward to renewing our service with Sage and hope to see Doug for our future services! read more

I should start by saying we have not had any particular problems with Sage. Like other reviewers, we were convinced by a door-to-door salesperson that Sage Pest Control was superior to other services in the area. And like other reviewers, our salesperson convinced us that others in our neighborhood were having problems with our existing pest control company. To put it kindly, I feel swindled. We left a company that provided excellent customer service and communication to sign with Sage. Sage has been just, meh. Granted we have not had a problem with ants or mice, but we have missed the little extras that our previous service provided. Convenient scheduling, clearing cobwebs from doorways and overhangs. We pay Sage just a little more than we paid our previous provider and we get less for our money. We will wait out our 12 month contract and return to our previous pest control company and beg for forgiveness. read more

I am very happy with the service I received from this company! Justin L came out to my house yesterday, knocked on the door and talked to my roommate. The rest of us weren't home so he told him to come back at 6. Justin showed up at 6 on the dot and was very professional. You could definitely tell he knew his stuff. The process was very simple. We paid and they were here within hours. I didn't think I would see results so quick but as soon as I stepped out of the house this morning there were multiple dead roaches near my house. Not effective pest control at all! I cancelled service after 3 treatments and they are trying to bill me for not completing my service agreement. A service agreement should only be valid if the service is effective! I have not had any results whatsoever with this company. They say they will come back and re-treat with different products if first time doesn't work. Hasn't worked after 3 treatments. Then they are sending my bill to collections since I won't pay the cancellation fee. DON'T OPEN THE Door to a Sage representative! Waste of money read more

They use the granule Demand which is highly toxic to bees in particular along with fireflies and other necessary insects. Unless you don't like honey or want to have many flowers, fruits, and vegetables in our future, please don't use them and this chemical. Hopefully this will save others from throwing away their money. I was told that my initial fee would cover 3 months' service and there was a 100% money back guarantee if they couldn't get rid of the pests. So I hired them, paid my initial 3 month fee as they said they could get rid of the ants and tunnels in my yard. Two weeks later they show up for another treatment and charge me ANOTHER $100. I ask what they are doing about the tunnels in my yard and they say they are moles and they don't cover that...useful information they neglected to mention initially. In the meantime, they have to come out yet again to treat the ants which don't seem affected by the initial treatments. Frustrated that they can't do anything about moles, I call to cancel. Only to be told that not only is there no money back guarantee, they charge a $110 cancellation fee. Evidently, that's the fee I'M charged when THEY can't get rid of pests in my yard. Note that the law for mole eradication has recently changed and is now allowed, however SAGE Pest Control just doesn't have the right licence to get rid of moles. read more

I've had sage for about a year now. Only reason I give 2 stars is because most of the techs that come to the house are nice folks. BUT!! the service sucks. Last 2 times they came out to service my property it was raining. Now what's the point if the rain is going to wash it away. 2nd they do a terrible job of getting cob/spider webs away from the house. They miss alot of areas that are easily a accessible. Not sure if it's laziness or just in a rush. I will definitely be looking for another pest control company when my contract is up. read more

I love their service. I am always the type of person if I see one spider, roach, anything that tiny and moves there are thousands more hiding away. They take their time to talk with me, discuss their products they are using, and go through any nick or cranie I think I see a bug come from. Since having them come out to my home, I am completely satisfied. I have three kids and a mess and SAGE products work. I have tried two other companies who did not work at all and I am totally happy with SAGE. They came around my neighborhood which is a new development in the back. The ypung man that came told me it would be free for the first visit and $99 for the next three months if any reason i wanted to cancel i could. Well after the first to billing i called to ask to have it cut off but was told it would be a fee of $150 so I decided to finish my year at that time i told him i would want to end it once my year was up. I had to call them out several times at least 8 or more for a re-service not including the regular service. I also told a lady (WISH I WOULD HAVE WROTE THEIR NAMES DOWN AT THE TIME) and a gentlemen on 3 other occasions i wanted to end services after my last one when my contract end. I called on first week of August about cancelling my services and the lady told me my last scheduled service was in August. They came out on the 11th of Aug and did my last Service. Some how i still got billed i called about a refund and they have given me a hard time since. I talked to someone on Thurs or Fri about it she told me it takes 3 days for a refund. I called on Wednesday and spoke to Hayley she said they need to look up call logs. I am not understanding if my contract is over why did you take 3 more months worth and we have terminated services. So they are basically stealing my money. I called back for a manager spoke to Lance on Wednesday as well and somehow Our call got disconnected i called back no answer and of course he din't call me back but they have my call back information. I will be printing fliers warning people of this company if they don't refund me my money back. This is stealing. I will give them until Friday then I am calling my bank and dispute the charges. The sad thing is they did a service on the 11th and we have found 2 spiders in the house were both my grand babies craawl and play. I do not recommend them at all sorry product as well. So this is the first review I've ever written on Yelp so I must have been pretty impressed, so far anyway. After discovering we had an insect problem I called 2 companies. The first one came out did an inspection but the price was high. Sage called me back & within a couple of hours Chris was at my door ready to go to work. He was extremely nice, informative & personable. He told us exactly what needed to be done on our end & scheduled to come back the next day. Oh & the price was right Bob! The techs have always been very professional. We have only started with Sage in the late summer. To date, I am very pleased.

I bought a house in the Wake Forest/Rolesville area this past summer (2016) and noticed that there were a lot of flying insects around the front and back of the house. This is not too surprising since my lot backs up to a creek and a forested area. So when a salesman for Sage Pest Control came to the door to offer the company's services, I decided to give it a try. The number of insects started to decrease after their treatments started and after a while I didn't see them very often. As a result I am satisfied with the company's service. I had a Sage service call today from a guy named Chris, and he was both polite and helpful. He asked if I would like him to take a look at the garage in addition to his work around the exterior of the house, so I opened the garage door so he could do that. When he was finished with his work, he showed me that there is an opening around a drain pipe that comes from an upper floor into the garage and then on down into the basement. (Yes - I have a basement. Rare as hen's teeth around here.) He had treated around the opening and he pointed out that this is an opportunity for insects to get into the interior structure of the house. He suggested that I seal the opening to prevent this from happening. No one else had noticed this, including a home inspector who provided an otherwise excellent inspection of the house before I bought it. I have seen that there are a lot of one and two star reviews of Sage here, but I have to say that, objectively speaking, Sage has done a good job for me and I would recommend them to a friend. If they continue to provide good results into next year I will raise my rating to five stars. read more

Do not use them. I specifically asked if their treatment controlled spiders and they said it would, which it did not. Had more spiders in my basement after they treated. They then came for what i thought was the last treatment. I specifically asked the guy if it was my last and he said it was. Told him to cancel all treatments after that. They then did another treatment when I wasn't home and billed me for it. read more

I am an existing customer who had an issue between normal treatments. I called last night expecting an appointment sometime within 3-5 days and they worked me in this morning. My technician (Justin) was extremely professional in addressing my concerns. This morning my service technician, Doug Vandervort, came and wiped away the few spider webs that I had. He applied granular pest protection and sprayed all around the house. Doug was very personable and did a great job. At first I had problems with Sage but the last several visits seem to be much better. We've been using Sage Pest Control for about 9 mons now and have seen very little improvement in the number of bugs inside our house, garage and outside. We were "promised" that Sage uses the latest and greatest safe chemicals to get rid of bugs but it's all a lie. The exterior window panes are full of cobwebs and bugs within days of Sage coming out to service and we still find spiders, ants and roaches inside, and tons of bugs on our deck and front porch and garage. I tried to cancel explaining that we are extremely unsatisfied with their service and was told we would be charged a cancellation fee of $110. It seems to me that since we have given this service a chance for 9 mons paying ~$33/mo and have seen no improvement we should not have to pay a $110 cancellation fee. Horrible customer service and business model. Go with one of the other pest control companies that actually care if their customers are happy with the results. read more
