Called to inquire about starting services at the home we just moved into. Never heard back from anyone. When I finally called back, the person just made excuses and never addressed the issue on hand. Good customer service would have apologized and offered to address the issue to improve customer (future or current) satisfaction. We've been a customer for many years and Joe does a great job but the business practices of this company have become concerning. They send renewal notices two months before they're due and follow up constantly requesting payment. I sent them an email telling them to stop billing me two months in advance and they responded that they like to inform their customers in advance what the contract will cost. Before I forget -- Greg with Capital Pest Services is GREAT! He came out on the afternoon of July 15th -- and it was RECORD HOT (& HUMID)! That didn't slow him down! He thoroughly treated the inside of the home carefully -- and he also treated the garage, and THEN spent A LONG TIME outside! The exterior perimeter and landscaping area had spider webs, and BOY OH BOY, did he treat them! He used a long extender and knocked down any spider webs and then sprayed and treated the area! Originally met and they came with first house when we moved here with the Termite bond. When I sold house new owners wanted minor damage remediated over, that they mitigated termites, over the past 20 years. Capital Pest stated if new owners were to go under contract, they would cover any and all damage, present and future. Just need a quote from their contractor. So in new house, I had them come out for termite treatment and started a new termite bond with them. Also use them for the 3 month pest abatement Company meets my needs and stands behind their work. We used Capital Pest Services over three years ago for termites. Don't know why I'm leaving a review now. All I can say is awesome. Very professional, fairly quick to respond, and super easy to work with. They have come on an annual basis, since the initial treatment. Let me backtrack a little bit, we called them in a panic after another company came and treated. I found mud tubes less than 20 hours later. CPS came out the following day did a temp treatment and then scheduled us. CPS trenched around our house and have returned yearly to inspect. No termites noticed since. I will be a customer as long as I'm still in the area. read more

I hired this company to take care of the fire ants in my field. It was a hefty price tag, but seemed worth it to be rid of them. Not two weeks after the spot treatment, I noticed more hills forming in my yard. I spot treated the few I saw and figured they were missed, but even more showed up after. I called the company and they sent someone back out to re-treat the spots. Not even two weeks later, I am treating over ten mounds a week. It seems like they just spot treated the mounds they saw and put down nothing long lasting like other companies do. For the price I paid, I expected better results. read more

To start, my roommate and I were not informed of what time of day CPS would show up. We were informed by our landlord that it would be a Friday. My roommate and I were woken up in a not very friendly way at about 9am. We didn't have to leave for work until 11am. They told my roommate that we had 15 minutes to get our stuff and get out if we wanted them to tend to our apartment that day. They were informed that it was not possible for that to happen. They came back while we were gone. We were not informed that they were coming back, and we were not told when they would be done, what we needed to do after, or even what they were going to do to treat the apartment. what little verbal contact we had with this company was unpleasant, and the guy was very rude. I returned home to the apartment and it was trashed. Chairs were knocked over, pictures removed from the wall with the thumbtacks holding them thrown on the carpet. Bedrooms were flipped upside down and sideways, and the infected areas of the apartment were not cleaned up of any of the dead bugs. If you like coming home and thinking you were robbed, by all means hire this company. Otherwise, you may want to go elsewhere. read more

I have paid Capital pest for at least the last 4 years to treat my home against roaches, mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. I have had to call and complain sometimes over the years when I observed lazy technicians not treating my entire property and that their treatment was in effective. I observed a technician treating my property for only ten minutes and have it recorded on video. My property is a little over an acre and I observed the technician not servicing my entire property. I called capital pest and told them about my video and the service manager stated he did not have time to look at the video and that the technician was a 7 year veteran. Service manager stated that since I was not happy he was closing my account. He later called me back and apologized stating that the work order for my property failed to list flea treatment and he was sending someone out. I did not see any technician come out nor did anyone leave their customary note on my door stating service had been performed. I had to again call Capital pest as my home now has roaches getting in and my home is infested with fleas. Capital pest's response to my complaint was to hang up on me and not answer my calls. I received an email from Capital pest stating that since I was not happy with their service they were closing my account and would no longer service my property. Just horrible that they do not monitor their employees to insure customers are receiving the treatments they paid for and that they are properly applied. It is also horrible that Capital pest does not stand behind their work nor do they take any responsibility or offer any help when an infestation that they were paid to prevent happens. Unless you are home when service is performed on your property, I do not recommend using Capital pest as you have no way of knowing if they treated your property properly or not. read more

We signed a full year contract with this company thinking we were protecting our property from pests. The initial "inspection" was sketchy to say the least, consisting of a young man going around the inside of the house with can of spray but I didn't worry as I assumed we would be able to call on them if we saw any evidence of pests. Our first encounter was an enormous anthill in the landscaping but I was told that would be a $50 call out fee as it was more than 3 ft from our foundation. Today, we found two huge yellow jacket nests in bushes right up against the house, but apparently they are not covered either as they are "flying insects" and we would have to pay $75 for someone to come out and treat them. My advice is don't bother with this company, you can buy a lot of cans of insect spray from the hardware store for $125. Find a reputable pest control company who will work to get rid of pests not to find a way to get out of providing service. read more
