UPDATE: Kil-Mor has offered to come and do the flea treatment as per the "guarantee" the employee offered incorrectly. I commend their taking some action. I am still a bit aggravated with the whole thing, but clear they care about the way they represent themselves, which is a good thing.
I do not write poor reviews. Sadly, today, I must. Kil-Mor Pest Management needs to seriously reconsider the way they operate their business and the way that they educate their contractors/employees on the companies policies. We signed up for the one-year subscription coverage after being told that it was much more reasonable and covered basically everything. That, is simply not true. This does not cover termites in any way, even checking for them, which, of course, is fairly reasonable in the money making scheme that is "pest management". This also, however, does not cover flea treatment. Therefore, after paying over $250 for our annual subscription, we had to pay an additional $150 for the flea treatment. We have an 11-month old daughter and the fleas were getting quite bad. Now, the contractor/employee told us to our faces that the treatment had a 30 day guarantee. So, we vacuumed as directed, cleaned, etc, and now, 27 days later, we still see a few fleas, and I went ahead and called to schedule another treatment. I was then told that there is no guarantee, and at best, after arguing with the woman on the phone, they could do it again for an arbitrary $50 fee, which, as a struggling young family, we simply do not have another $50 to throw at this after being blatantly LIED to by an employee. I do not think he meant to lie, but at the very least, this is a fairly pathetic business practice, and the complete lack of concern for the situation displayed by the person I spoke with on the phone this morning is incredibly angering.
We have had several other problems with service, including having the same guy come out to take care of our wasps and hornets. He simply "could not find" the nests after a cursory search. Am I supposed to find them for you? What is the point of you coming out to my house if I am to label the areas of insects. We then were having our wedding day a week or so after this and had small children staying with us, and they would not come out to fix the problem. When he finally did come out the day before our wedding day, he still could not find them. They eventually went away due to the cold weather.
In short, figure out how to run a customer-service based business, Kil-Mor, as I now have to waste my time and energy making clear you understand how poorly you are doing things. read more
