I hired Enviro Air to unclog my dryer vent. Enviro Air was the first to respond to my Yelp request and offered the most reasonable quote. They did a thorough job and even went into the attic to look for the output vent pipe. This was the first time we had the dryer vent cleaned since purchasing our house 10 years ago, so there was quite a bit of dryer lint and a bird nest to clean out. They were very patient in dealing with the clog and finished it in a reasonable amount of time. I will hire them again next year for an annual cleaning. read more

I called Enviro Air to get my ducts cleaned. My house was making me very ill. The Enviro Air team came out the next day and identified that no one had ever cleaned the return air duct. I had hired another company to clean the ducts when I moved in; who for some reason neglected the return duct (it's hard to miss). Now I'm breathing much better and feel comfortable at home. I hired Enviro Air to clean my dryer duct. Ryan saw that my old one was cracked, not even venting to the outside, and of a flexible material not up to code, so recommended a new metal one. Not only were they the lowest by $1,650 but the installers were professional, friendly, respectful, and very knowledgeable! We had all our duct work removed and new, better quality installed. Our old ductwork was covered with leaks and mold. They put in the best material including installation of an UV light in the heat pump to kill mold viruses, bacteria and more, 24\7. Another very well known company wanted $900 for UV and installation...We paid less than 1\2 that! When the crew discovered two vent returns, one covered up totally by whoever put down the flooring and a second floor vent covered up by new cabinets. When the boss was told there was two extra vents with ductwork and all...he changed us only $100 each...had to be below his cost...because everyone was surprised about it. I guarantee the other 4 companies would have been $350 or $450 each! My wife and I highly recommend this quality company. The owner cares a lot about his reputation and that emphasis on customer satisfaction and customer oriented price carries throughout the company to everyone who works there. Ryan is our hero. It was one of the hottest weeks this summer and we were having issues with a company responding through our home warranty so we decided to contact Enviro Air. Ryan responded to my inquiry immediately and was able to come out that week. It turns out the motor was the issue but they were able to do a fix that would get it running for 1-2 days until they could order and install a new one on Monday. Called to have my dryer duct/vent cleaned because it was clogged and my dryer wasn't drying. I'm so thankful they came out so quickly and took care of that! A month later, the duct basically tore open and they came to replace the duct. Again, I was very thankful. However, I can't help but wonder why this wasn't mentioned before. We had a new 3 Ton Rheem split system installed by EnviroAir NC to replace our almost 20 year old Trane unit. We also had 2 Nest Farsight thermostats installed which they're a distributor for. The price was very reasonable. The service was great. I met with one tech and the owner and they were very friendly. We ran into a delay because of hurricane Isaias and then parts were on backorder because of the covid 19 epidemic. Can't complain about timing. During the install the hvac tech struggled getting things tied into the zone system in the attic. They have electricians on staff that were able to come out and get it hooked up in about 30 minutes. Its been up and running for about 2 weeks and so far so good. read more

Their estimate was the best of five companies (half the highest estimate!!) and there was no stressful up sell or wasting my time. When it came down to the actual replacement of our 19 yr old Trane (which took 2 days due to retrofit issues with our existing complicated multiple zone ductwork), I was impressed by the installers, Scott and John. These guys were on the ball, doing quality step by step do it the right way work. Scott's been at it for over 20+ years, knows his stuff and cares about his work. From what I've learned from him as well as other service guys, all HVACs no matter which brand will fail, and a quality install is the best way to safeguard against problems. I'd been having issues with our Nest thermostat for MONTHS. Our heating and cooling had been going in/out until both units went completely out. I was beyond frustrated after many lengthy and aggravating phone calls to Nest when I called Enviro Air. I'd held off on calling a repairman because I was afraid of the price tag that would come with the call and somehow, I'd manage to find a way to "fix it on my own (lol)." They weren't able to come for a few days which wasn't an issue because the weather outside was pretty mild and it wasn't urgent. Making an appointment over the phone was easy and they seemed to recognize what I was talking about in regards to the Nest and wiring. The day of the appointment, the repairman called ahead to let me know he was on his way and when he would be arriving...which was the exact time of the appointment. The repairman asked quite a few questions about the issues I'd been having and he spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting the Nest, the units outside and the wiring. He didn't seem to mind if I followed him around and asked questions....which I really appreciated! He narrowed the issue down to the wiring. Ends up our wiring outside had oddly been tampered with (kind of...or a lot creepy). He corrected the issue and properly reconnected the thermostat wiring. The units kicked on for the first time in a long time and it was music to my ears! Total bill came to $198. I really wish I'd called months ago! He had a Square reader with him and I was able to pay via card. Both an invoice (with a description of the work that had been done) and a receipt were immediately e-mailed to me. I really hope I never have the opportunity to call them again, but if problems arise, I know who to call! I highly recommend Enviro Air. read more

Paid almost $100 for a tech to spend 5 minutes looking at my HVAC system, just for him to tell me that I may or may not have a refrigerant leak. He said he didn't want to open it up to see, as he said knew he didn't have any and would have to order it. I called him out because the unit was making an occasional (very) loud noise when it cycled on. He blew it off and said it was surely fine (although he didn't stay long enough to actually hear it himself), and said my system seemed to be fine. Then he shifted into sales-mode and tried to sell me two new units, saying that these are at the end of their life (after he just got done saying they were fine). He spent more time talking about the amazing new units he could install, than actually looking at the problem I called him out for. Will definitely not be using this company again. read more

Was very disappointed. Made an appointment for quote on installing new AC and heating system in attic space. Guy showed up for appointment 2 hours late. Still kept appointment and explained my needs. He looked at the space and said he'd get back to me with a quote but that he needed to price out the system he was thinking of using. Gave him my phone # and email. Never heard back from him. Called office a week and a half later to follow up. They said they would follow-up with the technician and get back to me. Another 1.5 weeks later and still nothing - no one has gotten back to me, given me a quote, or returned my calls. Essentially wasted over 3 weeks of my time where I still need a heating and AC system installed. Would not recommend or rely on for heating or AC needs. read more

Fast, friendly, and informative. After receiving an estimate, Chad was able to replace my leaking evaporating coils in a timely manner. The original installer of my HVAC left a pair of pliers in the coils. Whether or not this was the cause, they denied any responsibility and were charging $1300+ for repairs.
