Recently, we returned from a trip to find our AC not working. We thought this was going to be a problem since it was on a Friday. I called a local company in Wake Forest -- Kaleb Langley, Langley Heating & Air, Inc. First, he took the call on a Saturday and explained he was driving but to please send him my details and he would respond later. About two hours later, he responded and offered to service our unit on Sunday. He said he would call 30 mins before arriving, and sure enough, he did on Sunday morning. He arrived and checked things in the house. He was so professional; booties on his feet and explaining everything as he went along. We went outside, and he immediately diagnosed the problem. He fixed three issues that Sunday, in less than two hours. After I received his bill, I wrote him to ask if he made a mistake because I thought his fee was very low. He said it was correct. My furnace ceased working so I called several companies. The first company said a part needed to be replaced which would cost over $3000.00 when installed which would not be advisable since our unit is over 12 years old. Needless to say they ultimately advised us we needed a completely new unit and since the AC is aged too,might as well do them both. The cost started at almost $20,000.00 for the most expensive to about $8000 for a lesser grade system. I called Kaleb Langley and was absolutely delighted upon hearing it would be fixed with a part that only cost $107.00! This man is honest and knowledgeable, therefore I highly recommend him. Kaleb Langley has just completed installing two new heating and air units in my home. My old units were at the end of their service time. His quotes were in the range of my other quotes but I feel that his equipment (American Standard) was superior to the brands quoted by other companies. Consumer Reports ranks American Standard as one of the top brands. Kaleb and his helper were at my house for two days installing both units and they were extremely careful handling the new units around my furniture and floors. Had part of our upstairs and downstairs air conditioners replaced and these guys were great. I very much appreciated how their sales didn't try to scare us into buying things like surge protectors (they recommended if we really wanted something that then we should go with a whole house solution which isn't something they do as far as I know) and fancy air filters that have a high margin profits on them.
