I am soooooo impressed with Saffer Plumbing & Electric. This is the second time I have worked with them. They did a great job with plumbing for my previous home (installation of water heater), and they just finished an electrical job for my current home. I contacted numerous electricians for guidance on removal of some knob and tube in my attic. Most electricians balked and said it could cost me $15k or more and recommended I just endure it, even though it's a fire hazard. I contacted Saffer and asked for a quote from one of their top knob & tube experts. I got Walt Abbot. He was the only electrician who really took a close look at the attic and checked it out thoroughly. He immediately knew how to address it and gave me a quote much, much, much lower than other electricians. And to top it off, he ended up finishing the job far sooner than expected, and so I used the remaining balance to have him and his colleague install a ceiling fan, an outdoor outlet and two interior lights! Everyone I have interacted with at Saffer has been friendly and helpful. They have ensured my complete loyalty. They are THE BEST!!!! read more

We had Saffer out a couple of times for issues at our old house. We moved about a year and a half ago, and had an issue with a really bad clog in a small section of pipe in our basement. No amount of Drano or shop-vac would clear it, which meant everytime we ran the dishwasher, grease and gross and water would linger in the tub for hours before the water got past the clog -- leaving the residue and smell in the tub. We finally had the funds to call out a plumber. I called Saffer yesterday at 3:30 pm and they were out this morning, about fifteen minutes before the estimated ETA of 8am. The work was assessed, the quote was more than reasonable, and the work was done within an hour. Will and Anthony were great! Saffer is our plumbing company of choice in the area; we'd only go with someone else if there was an emergency and their scheduling was too far out. read more

Brad was amazing! Exceptional service from start to finish. I was a previous customer of a company that rhymes with Jen the Plumber, but I experienced less than subpar services unfortunately. Luckily, Saffer came highly recommended, so I decided to give them a try. Long story short, they lived up to their recommendation. Long story longer, here is more about my experience. Scheduling was easy with great appointment window. The receptionist (Samantha ) was so professional, I thought she was AI! (haha) Anywho, Brad came to diagnose my problem and was able to spot the leak and the root cause. He then got to work and explained his process to me, a person who knows NOTHING about plumbing. I am highly satisfied with my service. I will now switch over from them. Thank you BRAD!!! read more

I called to have a minor problem corrected from an earlier visit. Saffer came out right away and fixed the problem even though the first visit was months ago. I knew from other experiences with Saffer that my issue would be resolved. But I would not have been surprised if they had said I took too long to let them know. But there were absolutely no issues, they came out to fix the problem, and did not charge me for the visit. I plan to use Saffer for all my plumbing and electrical needs because they show up, they assure me they will resolve my problem and they have the best hold music. read more

During Sandy, a leak started at a spot they had worked on previously. We called, the boss arrived within 30 minutes and stopped the leak with a temporary fix and then gave us material to stop other leaks. Since then, there has been follow up and it's fixed. I can't really fault them for the initial leak, due to circumstances of the first job. In that transaction, they honored a really good estimate and finished an unexpectedly bigger project quickly. For me, coming out in the midst of a hurricane sealed the deal. Saffer has been a great company to work with. read more

Really like these folks. Twice in a week I had to call them. First time, Jason (?) walked me through an emergency leak repair in my basement by phone! Then David Saffer came out to look at a splashing toilet issue. He said he could snake the main line ($300+) but suggested I call the County and have them clean out their part of the line first. He said to start with the free solution first. Called the County, and they came out that evening. Problem solved. I was very grateful to Mr. Saffer for his conservative approach which saved me SSS. read more

Our sump pump went dead over the weekend and the sump pump bucket was filling up fast due to the rainy weather. We always use Saffer Plumbing and we were not disappointed this time. Justin was out within a few hours and installed our new sump pump. He even found that we also had a bad check valve. The sump pump works great now pumps the water much faster since the check value now works. Justin took the time to explain and show us everything he was doing. I can highly recommend Justin and Saffer Plumbing. read more

Do you have a clogged drain? I have had my entire house full of sinks clogged for a full week. It has not been pretty. We have been washing dishes in the bathtub. What's worse is that a plumber was actually here last week. Sadly, his suggestion was that I reroute a large portion of my plumbing. And while this ultimately would have addressed my problem, a more immediate solution was needed. Enter Lee Simmons! A man, a plan, and an industrial sized snake! Bingo! 45 minutes later my drain was clear. Thank you! read more

Woke up on a cold day to find my hot water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Pat came the same day and installed the new one so we could have hot water again. He and the other Saffer team members were very friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. I have used Saffer once before and knew I would always be calling them again. You never want to have to deal with unexpected maintenance issues but Saffer makes a bad situation a great experience. Very thankful to Pat and the rest of the team! read more

I've used Saffer plumbing on numerous occasions and had nothing but incredible results. Chris and Dave run an upstanding business where the technicians always do the right thing, not just the easy, or quick thing. Time has always been taken to ensure quality, and on a recent call, Earl even asked if there was anything else he could take a look at for me while he was here, since my problem was such an easy fix and he'd already come out. Fantastic business, fantastic work, fantastic people! read more

I'm a property manager here in Baltimore, and Saffer has always been my go-to for every issue because of their honesty, forthrightness, and willingness to suggest a cheaper solution if necessary. They always go above and beyond the call of duty, are clean polite and have excellent communication, and are highly recommended. They stick to their word and estimates, will text you when they're on their way, and always show up on time. IF MORE STARS WERE AVAILABLE, I WOULD GIVE THEM. read more

I was extremely pleased with the work that Saffer Plumbing completed at my house. Their technician Bryan not only drove 45 minutes to my house, but took care of my emergency quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up after himself and made sure my cat was not let out of the house while he entered/exited to fix my issue. Dave and Chris Saffer are great business owners and genuinely care to help any way possible. I will be happy to call them back the next time I need anything! read more

EXCELLENT service ! I was promised at 10 AM a tech between 12 N and 4 PM. At 10:50 AM the tech called and said he was on his way and arrived at 11:15 AM, Could not ask for better service. Additional comments on the service provided by Safer's technican Jack, Jack noticed a plastic folder on the wall near my sump pump. He removed the old pump's manual and replaced it with the new manual and dated it with the install date Kudos to Jack for excellent service above and beyond. read more

Had my hot water heater go out on a Sunday evening. Saffer Plumbing was at my house before 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Not only did Saffer Plumbing replace the hot water heater that day, they also got the manufacturer to give us a discounted unit because ours was still under warranty. In a million years, I would never have known that the unit was still under warranty. Everyone I have come into contact with at Saffer Plumbing is hard-working, honest, and dependable. read more

They listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Explained everything they proposed to do ahead of time, and exactly why they needed to do it, and gave me a fair and reasonable estimate. Called Saffer Plumbing to give us a quote for a new hot water heater as well as possibly getting a tankless unit. Jack was punctual, professional and honest. We went with a traditional water heater, due to cost. Called Saffer out for a second time to install emergency shut off valve for our refrigerators ice maker. Again Jack was sent out, another great experience. I highly recommend Saffer Plumbing. read more
