They even have a pass "office" here, so you can buy your passes or get physical pass cards if needed. The shop has everything you need for skiing or snowboarding, including clothing, helmets, boots, goggles, gloves, etc. The selection isn't huge as the shop is small, but it's definitely good enough. I'm not sure if it was just this shop, but there were also no lines which is a huge bonus. They also offer the demo skis and boards if you're looking to rent nicer equipment. If you can, my suggestion is to rent from this shop. We were staying at the RC, but I don't think you need to in order to rent from here.

The other, in part it's not their fault as it's the beginning of the season and they seem to be poorly trained, however their inattention to their own fellow staff members is sort of shocking. A cashier was trying for several minutes to get the attention of a group of ski techs - who were all huddled in a group, laughing and having a generally great time - which is awesome, great when you get along with your coworkers. The reason she had been trying to get their attention, was because one of them had not pressed the 'enter' button to send our final check out ticket to her machine. Tim H - extremely poor customer service on your end. I tried to get your guys' attention by saying, 'hey guys, is there anything we can do, to help us get out of here faster?', and yes that was louder than speaking voice but they were bellowing and laughing and couldn't hear us or the cashier the previous 5-6 times. I'm certain all this is on camera, it's the Ritz after all. Instead of acknowledging that the staff was being so aloof (or frankly, don't acknowledge it, they're your guys, I get it) but the fact that you had to step in behind the register, ask the clerk what the issue was, walk over to the group of techs, personally press a single 'enter' button because they couldn't hear you either, walk back to the register and sort the rest out.. and you chose to be hostile, which isn't particularly appreciated as we had been plenty patient throughout the process despite it taking the route it did. Thumbs up for the gear, the better trained team, even the guys who helped us as they were friendly. Massive thumbs down for Tim H and a negative attitude.

I also added a pair of Solomon bindings (20% off), with a future discounted boot purchase somewhere on the horizon. When that's done, I'll bring them all back for Moment staff to mount the bindings and adjust the settings. That part and how they ski for me next season may be the subject of a future update. Last season was my first in over 25 years. I enjoyed myself enough at Heavenly (the Boulder parking lot is 20 minutes from my house in Genoa) that I figured that I could financially do better with my own equipment rather than rentals. Of course, I lot has changed equipment-wise in all that time, and I appreciated the friendly and patient Moment staff giving me concise sizing and model advice that I could use and trust immediately. When I arrived just before 10 AM, there was already a line into the demo tent, including folks who were here a lot earlier. After maybe a 20 minute wait, I arrived with previously obtained model and size information (via email and inside) written down. The guy helping me had a couple options, and after weighing the features, I made my choice. As a Senior Intermediate skier (think groomed blue), I'm sure I was outclassed by many of the downhillers here, but Moment staff quickly put me at ease. The background music, plus free foot longs, chips, and sparking water was a nice bonus.

During the assessment process I was actually able to describe my technique improvement goals to Reid and he translated them to modifications that needed to be done to my boots. There was absolutely no marketing hype, just very personalized recommendations based on deep technical understanding of different skiing techniques. Highly recommend, especially for racers, ski instructors, and other people looking for continuous improvement.

But for the value, it's definitely worth it. My daughter got new skis and boots last season and the staff were very helpful. There is a buy back program that gives you discounts on the next set, which I haven't used but will likely have to this season.

Very disappointed in the recent failed orders that occured with RAD…read more Just unacceptable, poor customer service. A waste of time & money and an overall end-to-end failure. I placed four orders in early August and since it is mid-Sept, way past their 1-2 week turnaround time cited, I tried getting ahold of RAD to obtain a status update. I emailed, I left messages, I messaged through their website's online form - ZERO RESPONSE. At my wits end, I emailed today (the same emails from before) that if I did not receive a response today, I would unfortunately have to take further action and was prepared to write the BBB and begin leaving reviews everywhere possible. Low and behold, they finally responded that they had just cancelled my orders and somehow did not receive any of my messages. How a company could "miss" messages from all avenues of communication & support that they advertise is beyond concerning. They clearly do not monitor their orders, website stock levels, or messages. Even the "cancelled order" emails that I received minutes before they finally responded had no order or recipient info to decipher which orders were being cancelled which just caused alot of extra work and referencing, and expensing on my end & I wonder had I not continued to try to get a response how long it would have taken for them to realize that they had charged me and never actually sent any product. So, unfortunately, I do not recommend this vendor to anyone looking to receive their orders or who require any level of customer service.
