Tried book an appointment online. I was quoted a pretty good price initially but when I got to the payment page I noticed a much higher price. When I looked at the details, I found layered in charges not originally quoted. One was for the disposal of the damaged windshield, as I had no windshield to dispose of, I asked CS to delete the charge. All I got was a pile of BS regarding the charges and they refused to delete it. Go with a local glass contractor that you can actually talk to that lives in this contry. read more

Absolute garbage. Shopped around to find a good price on a tiny vent glass replacement for my Honda. Talked to some nice folks from All-Star Auto Glass, but ultimately Safelife quoted a price that I couldn't refuse. I felt bad already about not going with the more local company, but price was a major factor. A week goes by as I wait for my scheduled appointment, and this afternoon, the afternoon before my 7am appointment tomorrow, I get a text from Safelite saying the part has been discontinued and they are canceling my appointment! What the fuck, Safelite. Where was that information when I talked to your people on the phone multiple times?? Or last week when my appointment was scheduled and all the information about my vehicle was known?? read more

Safelite sent me to collections despite paying bill in full. Frustrating, draw out, incompetent, strong arm tactics would not recommend. Repair dragged on for MONTHS, paid bill in full, and still sent to a debt collector. Initial windshield was poorly installed, molding was too wide and door could not be closed properly, despite their online tool stating my car was covered. Technician said they do not stock parts for my car after showing up. MONTHs passed by trying to get a follow up appointment to fix. Appointments would be canceled last minute without any explanation. Safelite collections said I would be sent to a debt collector unless I paid in full first, which I was hesitant because MONTHs passed by without a fix. Relented and paid in full and they finally sent someone to fix the windshield. Despite paying, I was sent to collections and now told I have to contact the *right* department to get this colossal blunder fixed. Never again. read more

Wasted by time for about 3 hours then telling me they don't have my glass. It happen twice

I set up a time to bring my car into the location to get a windshield repaired via their website. That was quick and painless. However, there weren't any appointments until a week and half out. Set up my appointment for 11am for today. I dropped off my car early. The person was nice and let me know it would take about 90min to 2hrs once it gets into the shop. Great, let them know I would only need my car by 3pm. Got a text from the automated system at 125pm - about two and half hours from when my appointment was that my car was taken to the back. David, called at 140ish to let me know that the last technician who fixed my window glued something down (safelite was the last company to replace my windshield) and asked when they fixed it I let them know it was back in 2018/2019. Placed me on about a 10minute hold to find the appointment. David let me know that because of them not having the part they glued down he would need to get the quality manager involved, to see if they should fix the window and order the part and have me come back to add it back or get the part that was glued down and then fix my window when the part is in. David also assured me that it would only take 1hr to fix if he is told they can fix it. It is 5 minutes to 2pm, they are cutting it very close. I (and probably you) set up appointments because they are convenient for your schedule. You expect that the work will be done in a reasonable time from when the appointment start time. I think I would be less angry if by 1130ish they let me know there was a back up and to give me a better estimate of when my car would go back to be fixed. I could have rearranged my day to accommodate this longer appointment, but now I can't. This whole process is pretty frustrating. In summary: they don't honor appointment times, it seems like a free for all. Some Tech back in the day glued a part down that they weren't suppose to. Safelite has poor communication. But the staff is friendly. Now it is 2:02, on the day of my appointment, 3hrs after my scheduled appointment time. And I have no clue when my windshield will be replaced. Not worth the $400+. read more

Terrible. 2 FAILED appointments. 1st appointment the tech called to tell me the intended replacement windshield had a scratch and he may not be able to get another. I called their office and they told me the tech had just taken the day off. So, he lied. But I rescheduled like a fool. 2nd appointment the tech neglected to bring parts that tend to break when he did repairs on my type of vehicle. I called their office and was told, that if they do break, (by the fault of the tech), I would have to pay for his error. Immediately canceled because of this obvious tactic to pad the bill. Whatever you do do not use safelite. They have come out 4 times and have not been able to fix the car or provide any form of good customer service. The first time the actuator broke and did not work. The. The next time the forgot the part. The next time the forgot the part. The final time the brought the wrong part. It have been a 1.5 month long nightmare. I have called corporate multiple time. The store multiple times. Had corporate email and call the store multiple times over multiple weeks and have never received a phone call from the manager or the district manager only apologies from the CS rep and the techs who said they were misinformed or mislead by leadership. It is beyond acceptable and I only hope I can help other avoid the absolute atrocity of customer support I have received. I will be emailing corporate again and will provide further updates. TLDR: NEVER USE SAFELITE if you value your time or sanity. -TBC read more

I needed a new side quarter-window on my Honda. I wanted the Everett shop, because that's the location most convenient to me, but their web page seems oddly constructed or defective. First, it demanded my Zip Code. OK, I entered my Zip Code, and it gave me some nonsensical instruction before it would process my question, like, "Please follow the pull-down" or something(??), whatever that's supposed to mean. I tried to click and drag on the only pull-down menu I could see, which is usually the thing you do when pull-down menus are involved, but nothing happened. I tried again with "your current location" and the page wouldn't give me anything. You can't just write in "Everett Safelite" somewhere and get the phone numbers; if you try, it will let you see some heading for "Information" on the Everett shop, but this "Information" doesn't contain their phone members; the page still forces you to put in your own Zip Code (or "current location") and then returns unhelpful or irrelevant information. So I tried the chat. At first it seemed to go well. Their agent Klaudia was friendly and polite, and was eventually able to set me up with an appointment at their Everett shop (well, I thought it was Everett; it later turned out to be their South Seattle shop ... or I think it was; ultimately, I was never actually able to confirm the city my appointment was (supposedly) in. She couldn't just just tell me an exit from I-5 North I could take to reach the Everett shop for my appointment, because she was "new to the area." Then she gave me the name of some random street in Everett the shop was supposedly located on, but not an exit name or number, so still couldn't tell me how to find it (I'm bad at directions, but don't have a GPS, and I HATE using Google Maps and similar Map applications as they seem to require you to already have an image in your head of where the streets go, or to follow a mental image of where the streets go and how they interconnect, which can be challenging for people with poor spatial imaging ability like me. She also gave me a phone number I was supposed to call for directions to their Everett shop, but the number was just thrown up inside the chat field and wasn't clickable or saveable. Then she said they actually might not answer the phone number anyway because of high volume (!!) and gave me another number to call, also not clickable or saveable, so that I would have to write it down outside of the chat field somehow or try to remember it. She seemed to be getting fairly disorganized by this point, and her replies were coming slower and slower. She started leaving the chat for long periods of time. Then it suddenly came up that she might not have the right window for my car after all because of "shortages across the industry" blah, blah, blah" and a lot of corporate boilerplate about how their technical expert would need to "research the issue and get back to you." I also wasn't able to save the chat log; the form wanted my phone number and email address to do so; but when I entered them, it didn't actually do anything. I also eventually found out that the appointment wasn't in Everett at all but at an S. address which I guess is in Rainier Valley/South Seattle, which I don't want because I've never been down there before and don't know the area at all. I live in North Seattle, so why would I want to drive through notoriously bad traffic all the way down to a shop in Rainier Valley? She would politely reply that she understood I didn't want to go to the Rainier Valley shop, but still wouldn't give me any usable information about how to get to or contact their Everett shop. She was ultimately unable to confirm an appointment at their Everett Location at all, or that they even had the window I needed. I think they still believe I'm going to show up at their shop tomorrow, in some alternate universe where I know where it is and that they have the window I need. She eventually disappeared from the chat without signing off, and I wasn't able to enter further comments or questions. I've had similar experiences with Amazon chat too: If they can't help you with something, they never actually tell you that, it just gets increasingly harder to get any kind of response from them, even though more and more new agents will enter the chat, announcing themselves very enthusiastically at first, and then quickly fade off into silence again... No one from Safelite ever did contact me. I set up a job at Dealership Glass in Seattle instead; not only were they super-nice and helpful; did the job in only 35 minutes, actually knew what city they were located in and what their address and phone numbers were (apparently a challenge for Safelite), and they charged me literally HALF of what Safelite quoted for the same job! The fittings they used (my car takes some slightly unusual window clamps) were quality items, too, and not bargain basement generics.) I'll write that review soon. read more

My rear windshield was shattered one afternoon. I got an appointment the next morning and within 3 hours they had replaced it. Staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I had a tiny chip which they said they won't be able to make disappear which I was OK with - I just wanted to make it less noticeable as it was in my direct visual field. The front desk then said that they could make it worse. I should have left at this point. They also said that the chip was "too small to inject resin in so they would have to open it up a bit". I stupidly said that's fine go ahead. Injecting implies a small amount and all at home kits can work with small chips so I clearly should have done that. I ended up with a chip now containing white and black specks (it was clear prior) , cracks originating from it in 4 directions, and 2 other 2 inch long scratches lower on my windshield, presumably from their tools. I am kicking myself for not taking "before" pictures. I did not complain at all as I hadn't noticed all of these things from outside the car but still had a receptionist follow me to my car and inform me that the technician gets reprimanded if they receive anything but a 9 or 10 review out of 10. To be fair, the blemish doesn't reflect light as much as before so is less noticeable in some light. read more

Dropped my car off for the second time at 8:00AM this morning. Expected service on my windshield/rearview mirror to take around an hour but was told it would likely take all day which was not communicated to me the first time I'd dropped my car off. Walked about an hour home since I didn't have a car and didn't receive a call until 5:06PM that it was ready to be picked up. I missed that call because I didn't have my phone on me but I returned their call only 15 minutes later (not unreasonable after waiting 9 hours on service) and got their voicemail. They'd left me a voicemail the only time they'd called 15 minutes prior saying you can get here in 30 minutes (no car and it's a 35 minute walk from my apartment or a $30 Uber) or pick your car up tomorrow morning. My calls weren't returned after that. I'm glad I didn't pay for an Uber because they'd clearly gone home. The previous visit I dropped my car off at 8AM for service to get my rear view mirror replaced and didn't get a call until 2-3 hours later asking me what I'd dropped the car off for. They weren't communicating internally about the service my car needed. Then they told me they didn't even have the parts to service my car that day after I'd already waited a couple hours. Worst customer service I've ever experienced servicing a car, and this was after they'd already given me a discount for poor service the first time. I'd go anywhere but here moving forward. read more

Even worse.... I never hear from anyone after multiple calls to the local Seattle store and the 1-800 number.... But the manager has the gall to respond me here, but not contact me directly about the problems. More BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Prompt service, rock chip repair is barely noticeable. I've had the mobile repair on another vehicle, I'd probably opt for taking it in vs the mobile repair if I need another service. Great customer service. read more

This location lied to me and said my car needed service before they could replace the windshield. Something about my back tires spinning. They wanted to calibrate my lane assist and cruise control by driving my car I called the dealer and they told me to go somewhere else. This safelight does not know what they are doing. The other glass shop I went to did it amazingly first time, without any runarounds. Worst part is, safelight still charged my insurance for this work that they didn't perform so that's another headache they caused me. Never going to safelight again. read more

Further, the new windshield they installed and cracked upon installation was not installed correctly. Very professional and reasonable auto glass repair shop. We had booked an appointment a month ago to fix our front passenger window glass online and it was seamless. We showed up on the day of appointment and the job was done in about an hour. They replaced the glass, cleaned the shattered glass pieces in the car and the car was in pristine condition in record time. Their rates are extremely reasonable especially if you are paying out of pocket. You can choose to wait in their lobby (they have coffee, water and some snacks) or pick your car up later. Overall I had a great experience in Jan 2023 and will be back if I need any auto glass work done. Highly recommend. read more

My experience at this Safelite could not have been worse! I got a ding in my windshield of my 2001 VW Cabrio Convertable. Called Safelite to come out to fix and all when well until the day after I discovered a lot of water on the passenger seat floorboards. They wanted me to bring them the car and after 2 hours told me they didn't find anything wrong with the intallation. They think that a seal is worn out on my convertable top and that there is a channel draining water into the car. This is rediculous. I hade no leaks before they touched my car and who would make a channel to drain water into the car!?! When I got into my car to leave I looked over to see a 2.5 inch hole and rip in my passenger leather seat. I marched back in to have them tell me it must have been there when I pulled in. After arguing they told me they will replace the seat. Good luck finding a heated leatherseat for a car that was last made in 2001! After fighting with the manager, Richard Ayoub he agreed to pay for a leather repair (which will show) and he would set it up. After not hearing from him for a week I called him, multiple times to get this set up. I had to send him 2 emails before he would sent me the time and address. On top of all this, my winshield is still leaking. These people trated me like I was stupid and tried to deny everything. My car is in worse shape then when I took it to them. I highly recomend you not use them! If is obvious that someone sat on my passenger seat with a tool in their pocket and put a hole in it! read more

I just got my windshield replaced at Safelite in Bellevue, Washington, and they did an absolutely amazing job. My car is a 1993 Corvette , so it was a real challenge because of its age, but Vince (the manager there) and his team got right on it and had it replaced within one day. Amazing. It looks beautiful. Best customer service that I have received from any place in a very long time. As the manager, Vince was the best. I highly recommend this business to anybody. read more

I called like 3 times when my appointment was from 12 PM - 4 PM, they never arrived and when I called they told me that they were on their way but they ended up canceling my order when I needed my windshield replaced. I should have also pointed out that I not only asked the SafeLite technican that came to my house and insulted me and my wife and accused us of lying, I actually demanded that he get off my property, and he refused that demand. Instead he became more belligerent and argumentative. I wanted to get video of this but realized that I'd left my phone inside the house, not thinking that I would need it for what I expected to be a pleasant interaction. I went inside to get it - unwisely, it now seems - while the technician continued to argue with my wife, and when I came back out he was in his van, finally complying with my request for him to leave my property. Lastly, I should also note that the name/photo of the person that SafeLite provided via text and email/web is not the person that showed up at my house. I didn't get the name of the person that came to my house, so I can't be sure it was the name I reported in my initial review. read more

Horrible customer service. I took my vehicle in after booking and used my VIN to make sure the correct windshield would be ordered. Well after dropping off my vehicle and getting home I got a call that they don't have the correct windshield and don't now what is the correct one. They said they have to call VW in order to get it. Are you kidding me, have you never serviced a 2020 Atlas Cross Sport before? To add to it they removed my old windshield before verifying they had the correct one. So I pick up my car get home. No worries because I will just book at another location and call them to make sure they can get the correct one. But guess what, you can't call the location. There are no phone numbers to talk to an actual person at the location and the chat won't get you a number either. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else where you can actually talk to a live person and explain the situation so it doesn't happen again. read more

tyler was very professional. Communication was excellent. Called ahead, arrived on time. No dilly dallying. removed the old glass and installed the new glass. Informed me my window motor was not functioning properly and at my request he phoned into his office to get me a price on a new motor. We ordered the motor and I am just waiting now for a call back on the day and time of the motor installation. Good job Tyler, I hope Safelite sends you out for the motor install. I tried to get them to come to my house for an appointment. They called at 730am stating they will be there 430 to 5. At 4 I got a call stating they cant make it because they had 2 miles left in their tank and they cant get their gas card to work. I live far away and I am assuming it was the end of the day so they didn't want to come out where I was at. I have to miss another day from work just to get my window replaced again. This vehicle stays at my house is why. I asked for a discount and just got an I am sorry for your frustration. They charge a lot and just say sorry when you missed out on money for yourself. Tried calling and couldn't reach a person on the phone. All the menus just lead to the website, but I don't have a smart phone or a computer nearby. Once I was able to get access to a computer, their online quote tool didn't work either. Didn't process, just kept spinning. I tried giving them business, but they wouldn't let me. Dropped car at 9am, Came to pick up car at time it was promised (5pm) to find that they had *just* pulled the car in to start work. They would need 1-2 more hours to finish the work. So I spent a day w/o my vehicle and am out of pocket a round trip on Lyft for absolutely nothing. Mike the manager was entirely unapologetic about the inconvenience and failure to meet the service commitment. Their failure to give me a call at some point in the day to let me know they were running behind, plus the fact I still have a shattered windshield and will have to spend even MORE time dealing with this, earns Safelite a failing grade. read more

Safelite AutoGlass - Window is still broken after a visit to Safelite - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I don't really understand this company and their business model. It seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. My vehicle needed glass replacement and when the tech showed up, he assessed that it needed an additional part. The tech informed me that he could order the part for me and install it. I said "perfect" and he assured me I would get a phone call to reschedule the repair soon. Three weeks later I have heard nothing so I went to their website chat (you can't call them unless they give you the number). They provided a number to me, which I called and spoke to a representative who, after 20 minutes of questions put me through to the shop. I was waiting for at least 15 minutes to speak to a representative when I got disconnected. Upset, I decided to look up my work order number only to find out that it was cancelled and refunded three weeks ago! When I reached out to customer service they couldn't even answer basic questions. They handed me around like a hot potato until they got rid of me. Bottom line is this, Safelite is a corporation who cares nothing about you or your needs. They are simply in this for the money and it shows through their lack of service and communication. They don't deserve your hard earned money. Lesson learned. My solution? Go to a Mom & Pop glass shop. They are less expensive, have better attention to detail, value and appreciate your business. read more

My whole experience with Safelite was tremendous. Wilcox was the mobile installer in Edmonds, WA. He was on time and communicated with me before arrival and went right to work. He replaced my cracked windshield on my 2015 Toyota 4runner which happened going over Snoqualmie pass in Washington coming back from celebrating Christmas with my family. Wilcox was wonderful in the care of my car during the process and was very thorough and detailed. Allstate contacted Safelite and Safelite reached out to me right away. I got a quote from Safelite to replace my broken windshield. A quote was given of about $450. Two days later I received an email that quoted $1001 showing my windshield required a lane assist recalibration. When Safelite call the day before my appt we went over the bill with the extra charges for lane assist. I told her that I had contacted my chev dealership for a quote from them on recalibration. They quoted me about 1/2 safelites estimate. I asked that the recalibration be removed from the bill as I only wanted the windshield replaced. She said they couldn't do that because it is a required service. I'm very glad that I had done my due diligence in the windshield business as my two other quotes had just windshield replacement. I advised her that if that was the policy then I'd have to go elsewhere. I cancelled my appointment. VERY DISAPPOINTED with Safelites customer service and INFLEXIBILITY. MY SUGGESTION.....do your DUE Diligence before committing to an unscrupulous business. read more

the guy that has come out to fix my windshield twice has been nice. I actually like the guy. What i do not like is their policies. Last time he automatically took of my wiper blades and put on new blades. I did not ask for new wiper blades. This time, I believe that it should have been under warranty. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they said they would not cover the warranty which was crap. they will not return phone calls or give any kind of reasons- I really highly do not reccomend. They came out to fix the chip. It got worse and I had to take my car in for a whole windshield replacement. Things happen, he was polite, I understand this part. After they replaced the windshield, I realized my wipers were crooked and weren't in the right position. I had to bring the car in to the Mercedes dealer. They said I was the 3rd person today bringing car in for the same problem from Safelite. 3rd person? Really?? FYI, my insurance (progressive) told me to bring the car here. read more

We had a window broken out of our car while parked in a garage downtown a couple of nights ago. One call to Safelite and a technician, Andres, who was both highly skilled and very kind, arrived at our home with the necessary parts and repaired the shattered window. I've been thinking writing my review a couple of different times. The truth of the matter is that at the end of the day, in most situations, you will be very very pleased with this shop and the people that work there. I came here because I knew my insurance had the shop as an approved vendor. After setting up my appointment online and dropping my truck off, everything went mostly good. The technician called me and gave me updates on my vehicle. Nicest guy you can work with. In fact, I dealt with a couple of people and it was all great interaction. Unfortunately on 1 of 2 repairs, the part I needed for my vehicle was not something that the store could procure. Honestly, this is not Safelite's fault as it was discontinued by the manufacturer. After a couple of phone conversations, my insurance was able to guide to another shop that could procure the part through their vast network. I mostly mention this as a point to say, there may be instances when Safelite can't finish the repair of your window but it's not something that one can blame on Safelite if their network of vendors is unable to procure. Overall, I would definitely recommend using Safelite when possible. The Seattle team did a great job in communication and displayed excellent customer service. read more

I had my audi Q7 windshield replaced by Safelite here after a chip repair started cracking. The insurance I had covered having them do OEM glass and they did a fine job. One little thing is a clip was missing from the trim which made it loose. Had dealer check and they found that missing and charged $71 to fix. Safelite should have caught this but I sent them a copy of the receipt and they sent me a check for the amount no questions asked so as far as customer service A+. Things have and even the dealer missed a major issue I had to return the car for later so it happens. I am happy and they are doing a chip repair on our other car tomorrow so all good. This location does NOT have an out-of-hours drop box. If you are fortunate, once you arrive hours before opening an employee on a smoke break will reluctantly speak to you and tell you there is no drop box, and shrug when you ask what to do. If you are less fortunate you will walk the building perimeter looking for a drop box that does not exist. Once again, if you have scheduled an appointment online you will NOT be able to drop off your car before 8am, ignore the texts you receive saying that that is an option.
