As soon as I arrived after calling in for my windshield replacement, the owner did a walk through of my replacement to ensure they had the materials and seals necessary to complete the replacement as my vehicle (Nissan Pathfinder) requires special seals which could become quite expensive. I appreciate the honesty that if they could not reuse it, there would be additional cost and told me upfront instead of of doing the work and then charging extra after the fact so I could be prepared. It was a big rock chip and Tesla said it was unrepairable so my expectations were low. Annie said she would do her best and it turned out much better than I thought possible. It's still visible, but much less so. It won't last forever but maybe it won't spread and I can wait until I get a second rock chip before replacing my windshield. Does anyone else notice a lot of rock strikes when driving on 99 between the West Seattle Bridge and the Tunnel? I seem to get them all of the time - likely construction vehicles. read more

When the rock chip in my Honda Element windshield turned into a big big crack, I needed to get a replacement. Golden Auto Glass was super responsive and easy to work with - I think I had a quote and appointment scheduled within a day of first messaging them on Yelp. The day of the appointment I was running late with my 4 month old, but they were still able to see me and get service done quickly. I called them up, they could accommodate me that day, and it was the best price quote I got. They did a good job, it only took a couple of hours (despite how busy they were at the shop) and it was very easy. You do have to drop the car off, they don't do mobile, but honestly that was fine. Most of the other places I looked at cost a lot more or didn't have availability for weeks, and I needed my back passenger window replaced before I went on a camping trip, and it was great.
