They were both super friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions on what to expect from the repair and length of time I would need a rental car. I'm disappointed with my experience at Gerber Burien. The quality of the repair was fair, but the staff have a serious communication problem. It took months to schedule my estimate and my repair and after I got my vehicle back I noticed a few small issues that I brought up to their technicians. They fixed those issues for me on the spot and promised me a free loaner and further repair if the issues returned. Well, the issues did return and it took WEEKS for them to talk with me on the phone before I finally gave up with planning my return and just dropped by. When I did, they claimed they could not reproduce the issues and told me the new rattling sounds my vehicle was making were perfectly normal. I call BS on that. If you love your car, don't go to Gerber Burien. EDIT: I'm updating my review to one star because they reached out pretending to care and never followed up after I gave them my repair number. By far the worse place I've taken my truck. Not only that they fried my wires after replacing the tail light. I had to take it into Toyota Burien to get my wiring fixed and replaced. The manager(Mac Shea and Justin Knowles) stated they will reimburse my out of pocket payment. I am very dissatisfied with this collision shop. After receiving an estimate in July and scheduling in October, it took over 2 months for the repair to be complete. My car was returned to me mid December. The repair was super minor less than $2k which included a $500 tire. And today my had to go back in to a shop of my choosing. When I called the collision shop to complain about the alignment (that clearly was not completed), the manager proceeded to fabricate things wrong with my car. The car was back in my possession and nothing was mentioned until I was complaining. Very strange and unprofessional in my opinion. And the icing on the cake, my insurance issued full payment to the shop which included an overpayment that was due to me as a reimbursement for work that had to be completed since the collision shop could not take the vehicle for 3 months... anyway they have yet to return the overpayment to me or insurance. Would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy at this point... read more

I would highly recommend not bringing your vehicle here. I wished I read reviews before choosing Gerber. I brought my truck in December. my Truck was finally assigned someone in May after being delayed. My truck sat for month while repair cost doubled and was told parts were on back order. I was promised I would be made priority only to sit another two months and then be told they can't repair my truck and it was because part would not come in and repair person fabricated I made misogynistic comments. Completely wrong and offended by accusation. Wasted 9 months of time trusting this place. read more

We will never use Gerber again. This was an absolute nightmare for us. Our car had a somewhat mild repair need and we were told it would take 4-8wks and that we'd receive a call every Tuesday with an update. Well it took 12 weeks and we received no updates that we didn't call, beg, and argue for. Each time we were told an estimator would call us by end of day with an update. Instead we'd receive 5-10 word text updates with no ETA or details. On the day of pick up we had to call them to get info about when we could get the car and when they called later to confirm it was ready we got no other details. Because they didn't have the rental car onsite when we initially dropped off our car we assumed we would need to return it ourselves. Upon arriving to get our car back (finally) the receptionist fought with us about leaving the rental car. If it was their expectation you'd think would be an instruction when they called about pick up so we could clean the car out after twelve weeks, but no. Our car looks good, but this was a hellish group to work with. read more

Less than 7 weeks of owning my brand new 2018 Mazda, I was rearended - it was a fairly straight forward fix needed, and after doing some research we decided to take my car to Fix and if I could go back I would steer clear of these guys. Initially I brought my car in to a pre-scheduled appointment and had to sit and wait for almost 45 minutes to see someone, despite having an appointment and showing up about 10 minutes early to make sure I wasn't keeping anyone waiting. Despite my gut telling me this was a bad sign, we went ahead with the work. I dropped off my car with the estimate that the work would take 3 days (this in an email from Jeremy of Fix). One week after the drop off we had not heard from them and my husband called several time to get an update and received very conflicting info, one person saying the car was almost ready for paint, the next person saying that they were still in the initial estimate phase. What?? I realize that it is hard to make firm estimates with car work because they can't tell until they dig into the damage just how much there is but they should have communicated updates as they happened, especially when we were initially told it would only take 3 days. That being said it took almost 3 weeks to get my car back and that was after multiple calls and emails and getting the run around and very little info - their communication was awful. They did a good job on the hardware replacement but the paint work was awful. The image attached is just an iPhone photo of the paint difference, the new being on the right, and the original paint on the left. Fix had guaranteed to get my car in "pre-accident" condition and this was not even close. The color and texture did not match at all and when we brought it up to Fix they said they could try to remedy it but would need time to come up with a solution. It took over a MONTH before they even got back to us. We took the car in and the solution they came up with wasn't even close to matching. After that we asked to talk to the owner, and the response we got was "he is really busy, he probably doesn't have time to get back to you for about 2-3 weeks". So much for their "satisfaction guarantee". From the point we initially took the car in for an estimate to the point we had to find another body shop it was 3 months all due to poor communication and failure to respond to us or return calls from Fix. We ended up cutting our loses and taking our car to Gerber in West Seattle who fixed up the paint to perfection in less than a week. I was so dissapointed in the extreme lack of customer service, lack of care with work quality and refusal to help find a solution to their shoddy paint. We will not be back. read more

Had a collision - limped my car to Fix Auto. Was told it would likely be ready in 2-2.5 weeks. Called a week later for a status update: told parts haven't arrived - would take 2.5 weeks AFTER parts arrived. Car repaired 4 weeks after dropping it off. Picked up car - car broke down less than 48 hours after being repaired. Car worked great prior to collision - took car back to Fix Auto (whose repair work involved parts connected to the new malfunctioning part). Fix Auto says new mechanical failure was "unrelated" to collision (thus not covered by insurance) - they quote a $2400 repair (parts + labor) --- and they wld hv order the part (wld mean more wait time). Called a local brand dealer: they had the part in stock and quoted total repair $1400 ... $1000 cheaper than Fix Auto. (They also said it was very rare for the apparently malfunction part to die after 55k miles). Overpriced. Unable to order parts in a timely fashion. But they are friendly. Never returning here. Advising all my Burien/WS friends to stay away. read more

My car was scraped in a parking lot, and even though the other person's insurance was covering it, I was not excited about the hassle of getting it repaired. Enter Fix Auto, who made the whole process smooth and painless! Everyone I met at Fix was personable and friendly, and Wayne did a fantastic job as my service advisor. He was so kind, took time to answer my questions and kept me updated about the repair timeline. They also have a neat online system that will keep you updated via text! They handled all of the insurance billing seamlessly as well. My bumper looks like new and is warrantied for life, which is reassuring. I hope I won't need to have my car fixed again in the future, but if I do, I'm going straight to Fix Auto! read more

They fixed my car very fast. I was told it would be a week and it was done in 5 days. Great work, no complaints.

Was rear ended while back (fender bender). Insurance company paid for Fix Auto to replace and repaint the bumper. Work was done on time and looked fine when completed. Now its been about a year and the paint is flaking off in 4 areas on the bumper (Left, Right, and 2 places in the middle on the top all spread across the length of the part). Took car to inquire about having it resprayed but was told that my car was not eligible because they believed my car was involved in at least 3 hit and run accidents! I'll be honest, there is a rubber mark on the exterior of the paint in 1-2 of the locations (no damage to the bumper, only some rubber marks on the outside of the bumper), but not in all 4 locations. He explained that the paint that Fix uses cannot stand up against any impacts or flexing of the substrate whatsoever. He continued to explain that if the material that was painted flexes in any way the paint is going to crack and peel. He was also certain that this was the case with all cars. He explained that there was nothing he could do, as this was the designed implementation for the paint they use from the manufacture. Now sure, there may be a possibility that my car was impacted multiple times in multiple collisions that I am unaware (although this is unlikely given the time frame and the condition of the bumper). Additionally it would stand to reason that if a bumper was impacted multiple times there could be some damage to the paint if the damage was forceful enough to damage the substrate underneath (which it did not... who hasn't had someone bump them in a parking lot? Guy made it sound like cars are kept in garages and valeted when going to the supermarket). Another possibility I will propose is that they work primarily on insurance claims and perhaps chose to not include either a flex agent or a clear coat or use no urethane hardner to better compete at a lower cost to insurance companies. After all if the insurance companies are paying then what recourse do I the end customer have? I will be notifying my insurance agent... I will not consider them for future work due to substandard materials use. It looks great driving out of the shop, but will not standup to real world conditions. "From bumper to bumper, you are surrounded - and supported by - Fix Auto collision and repair service specialists." - except your rear bumper.. that one isn't covered. read more

If you want your car returned with bondo dust and poor detail and it took over 2.5 weeks to repair..go to FIX AUTO in Burien. Plus, make sure you bring them a cashiers check and know you only can charge $1000 on your credit card if the insurance company sends you a check beforehand ( also, know this policy is posted no where at the location). If I ever have a need to repair another any of the cars I own...the last place I will take my car is FIX AUTO in BURIEN...They don't FIX it right and the customer does all the work when its time pay :( read more

Went above and beyond. It took almost two weeks to fix my car from a front end accident. They called and asked if they could send it to a partner company to get it fixed faster which I did do. Managers were very nice professional and helpful. They even Came in on a day they weren't even open so I could get my car back. When I came back because of a paint problem they fixed it no charge and let me use their rental. Had a fender bender at work, dealt with Jason, made a deal was happy...started with deal, and Jason no longer works there!!!! Ok???? Now I'm dealing with David, explained deal with David. Started to go as planned, get my truck back!!! Keep in mind all they had to do is paint the fender and blend in with door and align fender with hood, charge me an extra 218 dollars to do this!!! He calls says trucks done!! Great I look at it!! Dent on brand new fender!!! Fish eyes on door( that he calls rock chips) that are above and below molding!!! And scratches behind drivers door that wasn't there before that he says they didn't go back that far! I called customer service complained he calls me and says they'll fix fender!! I assumed they'll fix it all !! I was wrong!!! Still fish eyes!!! On drivers door!!! Still scratches behind door!!! These guys suck!!!! Avoid this place like a plaque!!! I have been meaning to write this review for SO long. I was so pleased with the service at Stewart's, I wouldn't go anywhere else. My car was broken into about a year and a half ago. Someone threw a rock into the driver's side window, smashing the window, breaking the seatbelt buckle and denting the door. Stewart's was recommended by my insurance agent, so I called them. They told me not to drive it with the glass in the car, and sent a tow truck up to get it. The repairs were done quickly, and I was pleased. Nothing amazing, nothing disappointing, just a good experience. About a year later, I was rear ended on the freeway. I requested Stewart's because the location was convenient for me. Angel at Stewart's was so kind and immediately set up the rental car for me and called the rental company to let them know that we (me and my toddler son) had arrived and were ready for the car. The car, however, took nearly an hour to arrive. Angel was very upset with them for me and called them, without me having to complain. He was just taking good care of his customer. Lucky me, three months later, was rear ended AGAIN! This time, it was a really hard hit, and Angel took great care of us again. The car was there right away for our rental and he arranged it all for us again. He remembered me and my son and was so friendly. Because the car was so seriously damaged this time, it took a bit longer to repair, and would not be available until a weekday- when I had to work. I was at a new job, so I could not take time off to pick up the car. Angel was amazing and came in on his day off so that I could pick up the car. No one has to deal with an accident or damaged vehicle, but really, if you do- the experience couldn't get better than that with Stewart's- particularly Angel. read more

First they made me wait while they finished their production meeting only to tell me that they only do estimates by appointment and the next available was two days from now. Communication was non-existent during the time my car was in the shop for repairs. I was told that I would be contacted with updates with the progress of repairs but no one called. In addition, the repairs, which were very minor, took longer than estimated, meaning that I was without my car over a weekend. Interestingly, I have received numerous calls since my car has been returned to obtain feedback on the service. If only some of that time could have been spent for contact with me while the car was at the shop. Repairs seem to be completed adequately. Knowing how long repairs are taking is a priority for me which is reason for rating. read more
