A lot of other windshield repair shops were giving me a hard time with my 97 Jeep XJ but these guys got me in and out and the results were great. Both people over the phone and working the front desk were incredibly welcoming, concise, professional, experienced, and left me feeling like my car was in good hands. They answered all my questions and I paid exactly what they quoted me over the phone. If you own an older car especially in this climate you know the risk of rust is expected. This was a big factor in other shops turning me away and wasting my time, however the guy over the phone (Craig or Greg?) assured me and walked me through the process and rust treatment plans as well as wait times and price adjustments if rust was present and severe. No BS, upselling, or up-charging throughout any of this process. After hearing the troubles other places were giving me they offered me a same day walk in appointment, and since I wasn't available they had availability for the very next day. From the time I walked in and handed my keys over to the time it was done it took under 2 hours. As mentioned before I paid the price I was quoted over the phone, and it came with a trial for the Brown Bear Car Washes (this was exciting as I've been wanting to try this out!!). I believe the windshield glass was an aftermarket glass verified by the windshield # stamp. Shade band at the top is shorter in length than what I had previously adding more visibility. It looks great and after a month I have yet to find any problems (no leaks, molding looks great) and they even glued back on my radio transmitter to my windshield where it previously was. I'll be coming back here if need be and referring my friends in the area to go here for the future!!! read more

A couple things also They failed to re-attach the windshield washer hose. My windshield washer pump burned out somehow. The install is just done poorly, the windshield has frost or misty on the inside on the lower right driver side whenever it rains or when it's cold at night or in the morning. The rearview mirror as most newer cars have a box that has sensors, that too started to sag, so I had to push it back to the glass, not sure what glue they used, but so far it's throwing off the Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning. Just not satisfied with the job they did, and since it's been at least a year, I doubt they will honor to re-do their poor job on my car. My subaru got a 1 foot crack in the windshield while traveling in a snow storm. I called subaru in Ballard and they recommended this shop for a new windshield and recalibration. They were about 200 dollars cheaper than Safelight and recommended by Subaru? I was sold. The appointment was easy to make on the phone. When I arrived they told me it would be about 2-3 hours. It was closer to 2. I got a call to come back, and it was all done. Also was offered free car washing for 3 months with a local car wash place. I never leave reviews- so you know this was a bad one! Rock hit my windshield and cracked it, needed to be replaced. Insurance recommended this place. They came out to do mobile repair. Great. I wish the saga ended here.... I leave town and come back after the weekend. Two days in and the new windshield cracked upon my return after having not been driven. Obviously the work was done poorly. I called All Star and they said they would need to determine if it was still under warranty with quite the attitude... mind you this is days after it was installed by the mobile technician- obviously it would have been under warranty. They tell me the appt will take less two hours at the SODO location. I go down there thinking I will grab a coffee, take a couple of phone calls and be on my way. Think again. I was there for SIX hours waiting for my windshield to be replaced. Day wasted once it's finally done. Would have been nice to have a realistic time frame from the beginning so I don't keep getting calls saying it will be "30 more minutes" and I hang around thinking I'll be on my way soon. Don't forget it comes with side of major sourpuss attitude- as if it's my fault that they installed the windshield wrong and it's a huge inconvenience for them to repair their shoddy work. Cuts to two weeks later. It's raining a lot in Seattle. I get in my car around 5am on Tuesday to find that it's filled with two inches of water- the entire drivers side clearly had a leak and there is condensation all over the lower driver's side of the windshield. This car has NEVER leaked before. I have parked in the rain frequently and never had a single issue. Just so happens the first rain after getting my windshield replaced by All Star I have a major leaking situation. Crazy coincidence! I call All Star AGAIN and they say they can get me in to look at the windshield. This is where the saga really gets crazy. I take the car in and get the worst attitude from the front desk lady. This entire situation is very inconvenient to me as I need a car for my work, I do on site location visits every day of the week and need a vehicle to get around- yet they act like I'm being a nuisance. At this point I wish I would have just left the cracked windshield. It wasn't leaking then! I have a way bigger issue on my hands with a flooded car than a cracked windshield. They deny any responsibility and say the sun roof drains are damaged and that's what is causing the leaking and they can't do anything. Do you know where the sun roof drains run along? The windshield! They were clearly damaged by All Star Auto Glass technicians subpar work and now they blame it on me to absolve themselves of any responsibility. I ask them to replace the windshield again because I see the condensation on one side of the windshield where it's not sealed correctly. It turns into a back and forth all day of front desk people YELLING at me on the phone when I am simply asking for a VERY straightforward task to be done correctly. They begrudgingly replace the windshield and then tell me they are closing earlier than expected and I need to pick my car up immediately. I race down to SODO after work to pick my car up before they close for the night, an hour earlier than I was originally told. The next day I take the car to a Volvo specialist and sure enough the sunroof drains are damaged- crazy how that happened right after going to All Star and getting my windshield replaced not once, not twice, but three times!! You can tell they do really quality work! Another $1000+ later to get these repaired and fix all of the issues from the flooding I am on my way. Volvo's have a 17 page manual on how to replace windshields as to not damage these drains. If All Star cannot train technicians on how to do proper Volvo windshield installation then simply let me know from the beginning and I will take it to a specialist who will not cause me a major headache and expenses in the long run! That seems very simple. Be honest with customers and ensure good work. TLDR; If you have a foreign car DO NOT take it to All Star Auto Glass. All Star does not know how to do proper installation and they will cause you much bigger issues! When I had to replace my windshield, my dealership directed me to All-Star. I was determined to use OEM glass as I had heard reports on quality issues on aftermarket glass. I tried calling a few other places to compare, and this was what happened. 1) The OEM glass cost the same at each place as it comes from the dealership. So shopping around for a deal was kind of pointless. 2) Insurance doesn't pay for OEM, so most places are thrown off by the request. One company ghosted me after the request for OEM. One company just didn't return my call as I had mentioned OEM on the voicemail. All-Star was the first to pick up the phone when I called and confidently knew how to order and install OEM. 3) OEM did take about 4 business days to come in, but they were able to install the next day. No place had the glass on hand (another reason many choose aftermarket, as those are held on hand and can be fixed within a few days if not the same day). 4) The price on labor was also fairly standardized at about $150. So, if you are looking for OEM, save yourself some time and use All-Star. read more

They take insurance and AAA without grumbling. Like the office staff I have dealt with - chipper. The waiting room has uncut 1986-1987 tops and fleer baseball card sheets, which as a baseball fan and card collector as a kid, really put a nostalgia filled smile on my face the last time I was in. Not only did they shatter the glass while installing the first time, but a second appointment got rescheduled, and as that changed they didn't even order the glass. Like c'mon guys. This business does not honor customer integrity. They will trash your vehicle and care more about just putting more money in their pocket. Called to set an appointment for a windshield replacement on 5/22/21. I spoke with Graig on 5/19/21 letting him know my vehicle model and year. I requested no sun shade at the top of the vehicle, as thats what came from my car on the factory. Most of the glass for my vehicle were with sun shade, and he found one for $303 in Tacoma without sun shade. I was told by Graig he can get OEM glass for $303, and the total charge would be $465.00 plus tax. I agreed to this and set an appointment on 5/22/21. I arrive on 5/22/21 and am greeted by a rude lady working front desk. She hands me an invoice for over $600 for the same glass that was discussed over the phone. She calls Graig on the phone on 5/22/21 while I am there and he says the pricing is $465 and he did not know it was OEM or not because he could not see it in photos when ordering glass (he told me this over the phone) and told me the total price out the door of $465 I SPEND TIME OUT OF MY DAY AND DRIVE to my appointment and the glass they ordered has a BMW stamp on it, and THEY DECIDE TO LIE AND CHARGE MORE AND UPSELL because of it. The total was $611 plus tax instead of $465.00 plus tax. I understand if this was disclosed to the customer before, but the price was $465.00 plus tax TOTAL, which means $511.5 TOTAL and they charge more on the spot when I arrive, over $650 TOTAL. I called again the following day requesting to speak to a manager and whoever I spoke with in the front desk was too afraid to do this and gave excuses saying the manager is out on lunch and any word for the manager actually goes to me. Long story short, they do shady business strategies and their communication is terrible. They upsell the glass and lie to the customer about prices. This is a scam and shady business strategy. You don't say to your customer you get glass for this much and we are charging you this much and then straight up scam and lie to the customer when he arrives charging him more and putting him in an uncomfortable position for the same glass that was discussed very clearly over the phone. SEVERELY POOR COMMUNICATION. The lack of communication and accountability from this place is embarrassing and they lack integrity. I got told blatant lies that they tried communicating with me after I had just called stating I had not heard from them. They told me of a 4 hour time window of 8am - 12pm and I called them at 3pm stating I was frustrated with their lack of communication on being on time and they stated "well our technician did come out and found a broken part in your vehicle which is out of our control" YET when I told them being on time is in their control there was silence. They also LIED about me needing a new regulator - I got two new opinions after they left from other experts and they told me my regulator for my window works perfect. Do better. read more

I had a rock kicked up on our street and it hit my windshield 'just right.' I reached out to a guy who could patch the crack as well as All-Star for a full replacement, and stupidly went with the patch first. The patch didn't hold through the Winter cold (surprise) and the crack grew.. creeping more and more across my windshield. I emailed All-Star and they got me in straight away. I didn't go through insurance because the deductible was defaulted to max (friendly tip: ask your insurance about lowering that deductible!), But it wasn't crazy expensive! I have a leased Subaru that required recalibration and that only added a couple hundred bucks to an already reasonable bill for the replacement. The same day turnaround was also much, much faster than expected. They had it fixed and ready to go in 3 hours. Crazy fast! I noticed our other car has some very small little chips in the windshield, and I know exactly who I'll be going to see to have it repaired. read more

Had my back window broken by some junkies (thanks Seattle City Council) on a brand new 2023 Ford Bronco. I called Ford Autonation and the earliest appointment they had was a month out. I tried Safelite and got a similar message on timing. A friend recommended that I try All-Star so I called first thing on a Monday morning and got in that same day. They did excellent work and charged me about half of what Ford and Safelite quoted me. On top of that, they were super nice and professional and helped turn a frustrating experience into an almost enjoyable one. I received an email confirmation page I was scheduled for service 12/08 between 8am and noon. "Service Request Details - Website Order # 72916" I'm at work so my wife is waiting at the house all morning. I call at 12:40 and she said no one showed up. I called All star Auto Glass and was told there is NO record of me being scheduled for service. He also told me sometimes their scheduling emails go to a junk folder? WTF??? They wanted to schedule another service over the phone but I'm busy at work and don't know my wife schedule. Plus I'm very upset. I've done business with All Star before and their work has been quality, but screw it, I'm pretty pissed off about their system wasting my time and my wife's time. Fill out the insurance claim at the airport, their glass company can't see me for two weeks. A friend recommends All-Star and I give them a call as I'm boarding the plane. This business works on referral programs and that is why so many people recommend them. They do sloppy business and will destroy your vehicle. For one, they use too much glue when doing windshield, resulting in wind noise at higher speed. I actually had my vehicle done here years ago. They put the glass wrong with too much glue, causing wind noise, and the clowns that work here also destroyed my condensation sensor. In Feb 2024 I went to All-Star on 4th Ave to get a seal replaced on my rear wiper. It was replaced and I was informed that the rear wiper motor was no longer working. I was showed what to buy on ebay. I didn't return to get this repaired because I went to a shop in West Seattle that quickly looked at the wiper and found that All-Star didn't tighten the bolt down enough to engage the wiper. Beware if you go here because they either don't know what they are doing or they are intentionally looking for ways to earn extra money. read more

I really wanted to give this place five stars. I really did. It's the only local auto glass business left in Seattle AFAIK. But I can't. Simply put, they over-promised and under-delivered. The saga began after some jackwagon smashed three of my windows and I had to spend $1,000+ of my tax refund money to get them replaced (yeah, thanks for nothin', SPD). When I took my car in, I was promised a first-class job including removal of the sticky adhesive from the plastic over the windows and that all of the broken glass would be thoroughly cleaned up. None of these things happened. When I got my car back, it was still full of broken glass and I had to argue with them to get them to clean it up. Their lame excuse? I had a rear window installed at the Kirkland location on my Mini Countryman at a great price. Unfortunately, the wire for the heated rear window broke loose. The Kirkland location arranged an appointment for me in Seattle to get it repaired (soldered) without taking out the glass. The trim panels were all installed with no issues. UNSKILLED, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DISHONEST, AND A TOTAL RIPOFF. I took my Porsche Cayenne in to have the rear door window glass replaced. After dropping it off they gave me a call about an hour later and told me my window regulator was broken (the device that holds the glass and makes it move). I already knew this was highly unlikely unless they messed it up. So I told them to leave it disassembled and I'd buy the glass and take care of it. After purchasing a ridiculously marked up glass panel from them I took the car home and ordered a new regulator. Upon disassembling the rest of the door (which they didn't do and so couldn't possibly have known about the regulator) I found the cable smashed and wound around the motor as if someone rolled the window up and down without any glass in it! Furthermore, I took a look at the door panel which they did remove and discovered they broke the entire door handle, broke the window up/down switch, and scratched the Sh** out of it. Instead of being honest about their lack of knowledge on how to service my vehicle they broke it, hid the damage, and sent me on my way. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
