Short version: Too many things went wrong, ended up with a torn leather seat, warped leather, something broke inside my door (manager didn't know what), window frame is broken. Took my car here to get my passenger side window replaced. Repair took 4 hours. When I got the car back, 3 teenage boys got out of my car shirtless with hot Cheetos. One of them told me they had someone brand new working on my window and that's why it took so long. He informed me that something inside the door broke and the manager would talk further to me. Now I'm talking to the manager. He didn't know what broke inside the door. He charged me for their rain-x treatment, that I didn't have request, and discounted it for the time delay. They put the rain-x all over my dirty windows and didn't bother to clean them. I asked him why my leather seat was warped and torn. He said "it looks like someone sat in it." I showed him the before pictures, he said "yeah I'm not sure what you're talking about, it looks the same." Obviously it was not the same, he denied all damages that obviously occurred from this shop! He was incredibly rude and condescending as well. Take your car literally anywhere else. It was an awful experience and as you can see from all the other reviews, other people are having an awful experience as well. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

Needed my glass repaired on the driver side window of my car and luckily, I was able to get an appointment for it to be done online. I made my appointment online and unfortunately for my window it was going to take a week for them to get the specific glass I needed. What I appreciate is that one of the technicians put plastic on my window so that it's covered and even better it was transparent enough for me to be able to drive it around. Not perfect, but hard to complain, especially since it was free of charge. This technician did a very good job as it was fairly sealed, and I was able to maintain warmth in the car. A week later I bring my car back for service and about 2 and half hours later it's done. So far so good and the window rolls down no problem. This technician wasn't quite as friendly as the front desk people or other technicians I spoke to, but his work was good. Unless you can find the glass you need for your car at a cheap price, Safelite is very convenient, and the staff are all pretty nice. read more

I confirmed my appointment for today, March 17, 2026 from 7 AM to noon. It's now 3:05 PM and the technician is not here. I called customer service several times and this last time they transferred me and then I was hung up on me. I was very respectful. Just wanted to know what was going on to see if they could get me in for tomorrow since they missed today. I never received a call back from the agent who hung up. Update: Safelite replied that a rock chip voided my 30 day "warranty" when I asked them to glue on the sensor they did not install correctly. There are so many local auto glass shops that would love your business. I should have paid $50-100 more for better service and the fact that other shops stand by their work. Had my windshield replaced in February (2021 RAV4 Hybrid). It took 2 days longer than scheduled, they had trouble calibrating my lane assist sensors. They did not glue on the windshield wiper sensor correctly (No glue was applied) so it was rattling for 6 months. I thought this was just the car making creaking noises so I ignored it. Got a rock chip yesterday and went to get it repaired immediately by another glass shop since Safelite couldn't do it for a week. I was just informed that because someone else repaired a rock chip, I am unable to get my sensor glued back on because the warranty is void. Ignore this place like the plague, they have terrible workmanship and worse customer service. I will be actively telling people to avoid Safelite for any repair needs. I had a chip in my windshield filled today by Anthony. I arrived maybe 10 minutes ahead of my 8:00 AM appointment (made the appointment on Tuesday for Friday morning), the repair began promptly at 8:00, and was finished at 8:20. Anthony even went above and beyond and cleaned the windows and vacuumed the floor mats in my car. Amazing experience with him. I've previously had other experiences here that weren't as good, but they've always "made it right"...once I had a repair done and didn't check my windshield wiper fluid before leaving and didn't know that the tubing hadn't been reconnected, but I drove it back to the shop and even though it had been weeks, they sent a tech out to help me fix the problem (a quick fix). Past experiences would range from 3-4 stars. Compared to other automobile glass replacement shops in the area, I would recommend Safelite, especially if your insurance policy covers chips. read more

An error in installation led to damage to my daughter's vehicle. Brady was great after some back and forth trying to determine whose responsibility it was to fix and I was told I'd be reimbursed for my rental that I had for 3 days. Now, 4 months later and no reimbursement I can't get in touch with anyone that can help, I'm being sent around in circles with customer service and have spent hours trying to get an answer. I keep being told that this is being escalated and someone will get back to me with no call back. It's very shady that they won't post their branch phone number anywhere and each time you call in, you have to go through the same cycle with the customer service and spend another half hour on the phone just to have no escalation solution and be told that someone will call you back. I filled out the form online for a windshield replacement. I was given a day and a price -- something a bit over $500. I took the afternoon off from work, arranged for my kid to picked up from school (assuming I'd not have my car back in time). I showed up for 1:30 appointment and was told it was over $1,000. I looked back at my appointment reminder and sure enough, it was over $1,000. But, I say whatever ... just do it. So, I'm told it'll be a couple hours, so I go for a long walk. I'm gone for about an hour, just sitting down to have a bite at a restaurant when I get a call that they did not get the right windshield. They got the one for the camera and my car doesn't have a camera. So, I get up from my seat (hadn't ordered yet, thankfully) and start the long walk back to Safelite. The guy at the desk is surprised when I tell him I'm picking up cuz they don't have the right windshield. He looks and says, "Oh, a KIA. You really need to get them the VIN." I thought, you really need to ASK for the VIN, then, I think. I filled out the form. I answered all the questions. And remember, it took them a full HOUR after my appointment time to determine that they had the wrong windshield. I've been there before, but that's it for me. Be careful!! They offered me a quote in writing which I accepted. They then came out, performed the work listed on the quote, then increased the price by $650. The manager acknowledged that they had not communicated the new price to me nor had I accepted it but demanded payment and threatened to send us to collections. I had to make a complaint to the BBB and attorney general and issue has still not resolved. There are several other glass repair companies in the area. I wish I had read reviews. I hope this helps-be forewarned they will change price after installation without discussing even if original quote is in writing. read more

Terrible experience with Safelite through GEICO's windshield replacement program. I scheduled a mobile windshield replacement for last Friday between 12:00-4:00 PM. No one called, emailed, or showed up. There was no cancellation notice, and when I tried to call I found the shop only works Monday through Friday. The following week I rebooked the service and was told they could no longer come to my home and I had to bring the car to the shop. I scheduled for Tuesday at 1:00 PM at 12730 Bel Red Rd, Bellevue, WA. They told me the replacement would take 2 1/2-3 hours, so I waited nearby. When I came back at 4:30 PM, my vehicle was still sitting exactly where I left it. Inside, the receptionist said the car was "ready," but when I went to get it, the broken windshield had not been replaced at all. I lost a full day of work and still have a broken windshield. This was a frustrating and completely unprofessional experience. I will never use this Safelite location again and strongly recommend that others avoid it. read more

Windshield installed 30 days ago with 6 month warranty they are denying warranty because it was supposedly due to rock hitting outside of window frame and starting a crack. Bottom line is my previous windshield lasted a decade and safelites lasted 30 days with very minimal driving. Deceptive business practices for sure. Below standard windshields for sure. Dropped my car off this morning as scheduled and paid for an Uber trip home. Was told my car would be ready end of day. I got a call 30 minutes after getting home that they didn't have my windshield and would need to order it and I would have reschedule to come in again. I paid to Uber back. What I don't understand is why they couldn't tell me before I even came in that they didn't have my windshield in stock? Before I paid $25 to Uber home? Before I paid to Uber back? Safelite did an excellent job replacing my windshield for a good price. We'll see how long it lasts, but as of now, I'm very happy with my decision to have them replace it. Got my window replaced in Colorado Springs because I was in a road trip. After a day I couldn't lock or unlock doors in my car and the window controls weren't working. When I got home I contacted this Safelite and a technician came out and fixed the locking and u locking but still couldn't control the window in the front passenger door. The technician scheduled and appointment for me at this Safelite but when I showed up they didn't have the part. I tried to schedule again for months but even Safelite customer support couldn't reach them. After 6 months or so of this one customer support found out that they relocated and lost me. So she got me in contact with them and rescheduling still couldn't happen because they would not contact me. I gave up but then was randomly contacted so I thought, "Hey, maybe this time." I contacted them and they made an appointment only to cancel it ten minutes later. I call customer service and they want me to pay for them messing up my car. Honestly, I hung up. If I'm paying then I'm choosing a garage that actually talks to me and doesn't further mess up my car and I suggest you do too. Safelite does good work. End of good. Safelite has always been a pain to deal with. This latest encounter was no exception. I don't live close to their locations, so I go and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. The phone people are the first problem. Phone system is centralized nationwide. You don't talk to the shop. They said though this was a "drop off service," the service really would only take two or three hours. Different story from the shop on arrival. I explained I did not live close and would be waiting. They said they would see what they could do. 8:30am. 10:04am. The system asks me to pay for faster pickup. It also tells me my car is done. I pay online. I stop my errand running and take a Lyft back to the shop, happy my car is done. The happiness does not last. On arrival, and expecting to pick up and go, shop tells me windshield is replaced but the sensor calibrations are not done and there are five or six cars ahead of me for calibration. They cannot give a time estimate for completion. So, I am stuck here unless I want to pay for another Lyft. I could have finished my errands. Instead I am stuck waiting for who knows how long. 2:30 and still waiting, and they still can't give me an estimated completion time. Oh, and the waiting area? Tiny and crowded with almost no one wearing a mask or practicing any kind of social distancing. Think of it like taking an eight hour airplane ride, but with bad ventilation. 4:30 finally done. Ugh. The only reason to use Safelite is if your insurance requires it (mine does) or if they are the only shop in the state that can do sensor calibrations (they are). I wish someone else could do the calibrations because I would run from this place as fast as I could. To be clear, the technicians and employees are fine. It's the company, its systems, and its policies that are the problem here. They should change their motto to "Safelite. We've always sucked and still do." Horrible place. Even though you dropped off your vehicle early in the morning, they will not work on until late afternoon and they will not finish by whatever they told you to be done. Poor quality zero accountability and follow up. Early last year, I had the windshield replaced after a branch fell on the car. I thought it was all good until my car shop pointed out they missed installing the rubber seal at the bottom of the windshield connecting to the plastic cover over the wiper mechanism. Early Jan this year I scheduled a warranty mobile appointment online and provided all the context and specifics. - The tech showed up with no context assuming needed to replace teh windshield. - I explained again what the problem is, he said he can't fix it now and will let his boss know and then will get back to me for a follow up to fix. That was Jan 4. - next day I got a notification that my job was completed. I texted and asked if he has an update. Initially he replied and said will check with boss and eventually stopped answering. - I am still waiting now a month later. The lack of follow through and accountability is more than unacceptable, not to mention whatever additional water damage may have been caused by the initial incomplete repair. And those misses could have been avoided by some basic requirements to take a picture after the install and to prove all key aspects are complete. read more

I'd recommend using Safelite if you like your time wasted and like to be treated poorly. If that is you, this place is for you! Made an appointment for a windshield replacement February 21st and was asked to drop off my car before 9:30am and my windshield would be replaced and windshield cameras calibrated to factory specification same day. I dropped it off at 8am. Was told this would all be taken care of same day and they would call me before the end of the day to pick back up. My vehicle is a is a model Y Tesla so there are internal and external cameras I can access from my phone wherever I am to see when doors are unlocked, when people approach the vehicle, etc. I found it odd that by late morning my car had not been accessed by the shop or even approached any anyone associated with the shop. However, continued to wait and didn't do anything at that point. I did get two phone calls during the day letting me know they are running behind and haven't started working on my vehicle yet but they let me know (without me even asking) that everything with my vehicle will still be completed same day and not to worry. I appreciated them calling and giving me updates to their delays. I knew they closed at 5pm so was getting really concerned that by 4:30pm my car still had not even been pulled into the garage to get worked on. I called and they said yeah they are still behind but will stay late guaranteeing it will all get done today, just late. By the time 6:30pm rolled around and still no activity, I got someone to drive me down to the shop and I would wait there for them to finish. While driving down there, I get a call telling me they need to keep the car for another day because since it was getting dark, even if they change the windshield, they can't do the calibration at night because it'll be too dark. I asked them reasonable questions like "If you can't calibrate at night and you know you have to calibrate, why did you wait until after dark to try working on my windshield?" and "Why would you continue to tell me through out the day that regardless of them running behind, everything will still be completed?". Well, the person who I spoke with in the evening didn't take any responsibility for what I was told because that person had already gone home for the day. There was no apology, no sympathy, or anything resembling they cared they couldn't deliver and I would be inconvenienced as a customer. I finally told the person not to work on the car, leave my key card in the vehicle and I'm on my way to pick up my vehicle. I got no response from them except the sound of being hung up on. The next day, I received a voicemail from their office asking me how come I didn't bring in my car yesterday for my appointment and did I want to reschedule. They were oblivious that I did bring in my car and they just never worked on it. I think it's less of a problem working in the shop but rather put the blame on the incompetence of the person working the front desk. I with I remembered what her name was as I would put it in this review. My impression when I interacted with her in person when dropping off my car was that she was disinterested in customer service and barely even looked up or greeted me when I came in. I eventually took my vehicle to All Star Auto Glass and they took care of me with no glitches. Avoid the headache and start with All Star instead! read more

Normally, I do not give reviews like this but I think it's important for those who are not familiar with car maintenance to know what they should possibly expect when they come to this place. The team is nice, but they are extremely busy and do not have the resources to probably do everything that you need to do properly. I paid for the windshield wipers per their recommendation. The service was completed, including the original windshield repair, as far as I knew, until I took my car into the dealership a couple days ago. I found out through a mate, that the windshield wipers that I just purchased were in bad shape. This means this location either they sold me used/defective windshield wipers or they never replaced them and said they did. This is very concerning as when you pay for something you expect to get what you paid for. Customer service was terrible on the phone further one 800 number and now I have to go back to have them rectify the situation. read more

Sloppy service and limited respect for my time. I went for my apportionment and had a family member come to pick me up. Unfortunately they didn't have the windshield in stock so I had to reschedule for a couple weeks out. I dropped the car off in the morning and was told it would be done by 5PM. I called at 4PM because I hadn't heard anything. They said they forgot to calibrate it but I was reassured that it would still be done same day. I went to pick up the car and 5 mins before they closed and right before my Uber was pulling in they let me know they needed it for another day.
