There's no phone number listed on their website so I play nice and I send a text and I explain a very simple problem: my rear view mirror has fallen off my windshield. There's no damage to the windshield, it's just that the mirror glue got tired. Text bot recommends I call; the rep on that end asked if I was a prior customer. Nope. Just a performer trying to get to a gig with a mirror swinging wildly from the windshield. (LOL at this rate, I might need a new windshield ... ) There's some tappety-tapping and I give him my zip code and he confirms that there are two places who can help me. "Don't tell anyone I said this, but it is a quick and easy repair. We almost never charge for it. No need for an appointment; just drive up and we'll get it fixed." Marvelous. So I sit in traffic and I wait in line and then I ask the receptionist if they could repair my dangling rear view mirror. "Are you a current customer?" Um. No. "We don't do that. We only repair rear view mirrors for current customers." Are you sure? Cuz I called the 800 # and they said it wouldn't be a problem ... "We NEVER do that." Well then. I wasn't even expecting it to be a freebie, I just need to dry my hair and get to my gig on time. read more

Needed my glass repaired on the driver side window of my car and luckily, I was able to get an appointment for it to be done online. I made my appointment online and unfortunately for my window it was going to take a week for them to get the specific glass I needed. What I appreciate is that one of the technicians put plastic on my window so that it's covered and even better it was transparent enough for me to be able to drive it around. Not perfect, but hard to complain, especially since it was free of charge. This technician did a very good job as it was fairly sealed, and I was able to maintain warmth in the car. A week later I bring my car back for service and about 2 and half hours later it's done. So far so good and the window rolls down no problem. This technician wasn't quite as friendly as the front desk people or other technicians I spoke to, but his work was good. Unless you can find the glass you need for your car at a cheap price, Safelite is very convenient, and the staff are all pretty nice. read more

First off, I want to make sure everyone understands that the technicians themselves at this location are great. I've been there for two separate glass replacements and the work has been excellent by the technicians. The issue I have is the most recent experience. My appointment was 10am for a windshield replacement which is supposed to take 3 hrs but maybe a little longer due to calibration, which is what I was told. I was ok with it and brought my laptop to work. Checked in at 9:44 and saw my car get moved to the back garage at 9:55. At 11:04 my car got moved to the parking lot and I both saw it from the waiting room and also on my car camera. I was curious but thought that they would have told me or gotten me if it was complete and I also didn't want to be "that" customer so I waited until 3:30 after my work call and still saw the car sitting in the same spot since 11:04 so I walked up the front desk employee and asked if my car was done since I also received a recalibration certificate email at 1:30. He walked into the back room and brought me my keys and told me it was complete. I was confused as to why no one told me it was complete and asked when it was done as the car has been in the same spot since 11:04. He got some of the technicians and they told me that it was done at 11. I was both confused and frustrated so I asked "So I've been sitting here for 4 hrs for nothing?" Stunned looks is all I got. I told them that it wasn't their fault but something got screwed up. I wasted 4 hrs of my time when I could have been home. I asked to speak with the manager not for them to do anything but so that someone in management knew what happened and hopefully they can make changes so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Unfortunately, all the mgrs were in a mtg so I couldn't speak with them so I asked them to have the mgr, Brady, call me. On my way out to my car, one of the technicians came up to me and apologized profusely and I told him thanks but it wasn't his fault. Like I said, he and the other technicians are and have always been great. Now the fun part. It's been a week since my experience and still nothing from the mgr. Nada. I write these reviews with the hope that these things won't happen to anyone else. I also want to make sure that people have as much information before making choices on where to spend your hard earned money. For me, I will not be using this location or safelite going forward which is sad as the technicians do good work but the overall experience including not being able to call the shop directly without going through a bunch of other people is stupid. I am not asking for anything besides acknowledgement of a problem and apology from someone in management and that they ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future. I set up 2 mobile service appointments for a windshield replacement on sunny days to uncomplicated the process. On neither of the 4 hour windows on those days was I contacted just a no show. On the third day after phone call coaching before the appointment with the tech who was coming I got my windshield repaired. I noted immediately that the navigation/camera box on the windshield had rattling noises. I called the main Safelite number and they said just come in for warranty service. The receptionist at the Bellevue store was indifferent as we showed up and she said that there were no appointments today after being told to just show up. It is impossible to talk to a real person as they have a new scheduling system that is going to bury their business if they care about reviews! Terrible experience here because of the front desk lady. She clearly has no idea what she is doing. Kept giving me different information every time I asked a question. Zero customer service skills, her face and tone made me feel like I owed HER something. Like excuse me, I am the customer here. They had to reorder my glass because mine had a safety feature. When I asked her to confirm what glass they actually ordered, she tried to brush me off and said I wouldn't understand the part number anyway. 2 interactions with Safelite Bellevue recently. 1st was to replace my windshield and clean the glass from the collision. they did a good job with the windshield replacement, but didn't clean any of the glass as they promised they would. 2nd was a mobile appointment for windshield replacement and calibration for my wife's car. They replaced the windshield and supposedly completed the calibration, but called us later saying there was an error with the calibration and we had to take the vehicle in for calibration. When we asked for a refund for mobile appointment given they didn't do what they were contracted to do and they lied to us, saying there was no extra cost with mobile appointments. After listening to their rep lie we looked it up and there is a $97 charge for mobile services. Stay away from this company. Liars and cheats. read more

Short version: Too many things went wrong, ended up with a torn leather seat, warped leather, something broke inside my door (manager didn't know what), window frame is broken. Took my car here to get my passenger side window replaced. Repair took 4 hours. When I got the car back, 3 teenage boys got out of my car shirtless with hot Cheetos. One of them told me they had someone brand new working on my window and that's why it took so long. He informed me that something inside the door broke and the manager would talk further to me. Now I'm talking to the manager. He didn't know what broke inside the door. He charged me for their rain-x treatment, that I didn't have request, and discounted it for the time delay. They put the rain-x all over my dirty windows and didn't bother to clean them. I asked him why my leather seat was warped and torn. He said "it looks like someone sat in it." I showed him the before pictures, he said "yeah I'm not sure what you're talking about, it looks the same." Obviously it was not the same, he denied all damages that obviously occurred from this shop! He was incredibly rude and condescending as well. Take your car literally anywhere else. It was an awful experience and as you can see from all the other reviews, other people are having an awful experience as well. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I confirmed my appointment for today, March 17, 2026 from 7 AM to noon. It's now 3:05 PM and the technician is not here. I called customer service several times and this last time they transferred me and then I was hung up on me. I was very respectful. Just wanted to know what was going on to see if they could get me in for tomorrow since they missed today. I never received a call back from the agent who hung up. Update: Safelite replied that a rock chip voided my 30 day "warranty" when I asked them to glue on the sensor they did not install correctly. There are so many local auto glass shops that would love your business. I should have paid $50-100 more for better service and the fact that other shops stand by their work. Had my windshield replaced in February (2021 RAV4 Hybrid). It took 2 days longer than scheduled, they had trouble calibrating my lane assist sensors. They did not glue on the windshield wiper sensor correctly (No glue was applied) so it was rattling for 6 months. I thought this was just the car making creaking noises so I ignored it. Got a rock chip yesterday and went to get it repaired immediately by another glass shop since Safelite couldn't do it for a week. I was just informed that because someone else repaired a rock chip, I am unable to get my sensor glued back on because the warranty is void. Ignore this place like the plague, they have terrible workmanship and worse customer service. I will be actively telling people to avoid Safelite for any repair needs. I had a chip in my windshield filled today by Anthony. I arrived maybe 10 minutes ahead of my 8:00 AM appointment (made the appointment on Tuesday for Friday morning), the repair began promptly at 8:00, and was finished at 8:20. Anthony even went above and beyond and cleaned the windows and vacuumed the floor mats in my car. Amazing experience with him. I've previously had other experiences here that weren't as good, but they've always "made it right"...once I had a repair done and didn't check my windshield wiper fluid before leaving and didn't know that the tubing hadn't been reconnected, but I drove it back to the shop and even though it had been weeks, they sent a tech out to help me fix the problem (a quick fix). Past experiences would range from 3-4 stars. Compared to other automobile glass replacement shops in the area, I would recommend Safelite, especially if your insurance policy covers chips. read more

I filled out the form online for a windshield replacement. I was given a day and a price -- something a bit over $500. I took the afternoon off from work, arranged for my kid to picked up from school (assuming I'd not have my car back in time). I showed up for 1:30 appointment and was told it was over $1,000. I looked back at my appointment reminder and sure enough, it was over $1,000. But, I say whatever ... just do it. So, I'm told it'll be a couple hours, so I go for a long walk. I'm gone for about an hour, just sitting down to have a bite at a restaurant when I get a call that they did not get the right windshield. They got the one for the camera and my car doesn't have a camera. So, I get up from my seat (hadn't ordered yet, thankfully) and start the long walk back to Safelite. The guy at the desk is surprised when I tell him I'm picking up cuz they don't have the right windshield. He looks and says, "Oh, a KIA. You really need to get them the VIN." I thought, you really need to ASK for the VIN, then, I think. I filled out the form. I answered all the questions. And remember, it took them a full HOUR after my appointment time to determine that they had the wrong windshield. I've been there before, but that's it for me. Terrible install. Booked appointment online, no where was it mentioned that they would be installing aftermarket parts that don't fit. Mobile tech installed the windsheild crooked. The rubber around the glass is thin and bubbly and doesn't fit. it's too long on one side and short on the other. manager said it's just cosmetic. Very noisy when you drive. Tech took things apart and didn't put it back together right. I have black silicone smeared on my interior fabric. They now want to charge me double to install OEM and fix their mistake. I have had to deal with this company since April of 2026 and am ready to take them to court as they are non-responsive. I had them do a windshield replacement using mobile service. Th new windshield cracked within one day. Took another 2 weeks until I could get rescheduled for new windshield. After that one, my car kept getting faults when I turned it on. I took the into the Bellevue location MULTIPLE times and they could not resolve the faults, even with their 'calibration specialist' working on it. They even replaced the new windshield with an OEM windshield but couldnt get it resolved. We are talking multiple trips, hours of time wasted, no car to use and horrible responses. Finally, they told me to take it to the car dealership , AT THEIR COST, to get it resolved. I did. I went back to Safelite with my receipt from the car dealership the same day, 6/26/26. The woman at the counter made copies of my receipts, which detailed the problem and indicated that the windshield replacement had caused the errors. She told me it would be about 5 business days until the reimbursement would be processed. It's been more than 6 weeks now and while Safelite 'customer care' has opened a case nothing has happened. No communication from them. BTW, the company intentionally does not have phone numbers for their locations on the web page .. I am owe nearly $800 from them and they are non responsive. Terrible experience with Safelite through GEICO's windshield replacement program. I scheduled a mobile windshield replacement for last Friday between 12:00-4:00 PM. No one called, emailed, or showed up. There was no cancellation notice, and when I tried to call I found the shop only works Monday through Friday. The following week I rebooked the service and was told they could no longer come to my home and I had to bring the car to the shop. I scheduled for Tuesday at 1:00 PM at 12730 Bel Red Rd, Bellevue, WA. They told me the replacement would take 2 1/2-3 hours, so I waited nearby. When I came back at 4:30 PM, my vehicle was still sitting exactly where I left it. Inside, the receptionist said the car was "ready," but when I went to get it, the broken windshield had not been replaced at all. I lost a full day of work and still have a broken windshield. This was a frustrating and completely unprofessional experience. I will never use this Safelite location again and strongly recommend that others avoid it. read more

Windshield installed 30 days ago with 6 month warranty they are denying warranty because it was supposedly due to rock hitting outside of window frame and starting a crack. Bottom line is my previous windshield lasted a decade and safelites lasted 30 days with very minimal driving. Deceptive business practices for sure. Below standard windshields for sure. An error in installation led to damage to my daughter's vehicle. Brady was great after some back and forth trying to determine whose responsibility it was to fix and I was told I'd be reimbursed for my rental that I had for 3 days. Now, 4 months later and no reimbursement I can't get in touch with anyone that can help, I'm being sent around in circles with customer service and have spent hours trying to get an answer. I keep being told that this is being escalated and someone will get back to me with no call back. It's very shady that they won't post their branch phone number anywhere and each time you call in, you have to go through the same cycle with the customer service and spend another half hour on the phone just to have no escalation solution and be told that someone will call you back. They're just trying to wear people down to essentially evade financial responsibility. read more

Be careful!! They offered me a quote in writing which I accepted. They then came out, performed the work listed on the quote, then increased the price by $650. The manager acknowledged that they had not communicated the new price to me nor had I accepted it but demanded payment and threatened to send us to collections. I had to make a complaint to the BBB and attorney general and issue has still not resolved. There are several other glass repair companies in the area. I wish I had read reviews. I hope this helps-be forewarned they will change price after installation without discussing even if original quote is in writing. read more

I scheduled an appointment for windshield glass replacement online. Super easy. Put in all my information, including what kind of car it is. Dropped my car off this morning as scheduled and paid for an Uber trip home. Was told my car would be ready end of day. I got a call 30 minutes after getting home that they didn't have my windshield and would need to order it and I would have reschedule to come in again. I paid to Uber back. What I don't understand is why they couldn't tell me before I even came in that they didn't have my windshield in stock? Before I paid $25 to Uber home? Before I paid to Uber back? Safelite does good work. End of good. Safelite has always been a pain to deal with. This latest encounter was no exception. I don't live close to their locations, so I go and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. The phone people are the first problem. Phone system is centralized nationwide. You don't talk to the shop. They said though this was a "drop off service," the service really would only take two or three hours. Different story from the shop on arrival. I explained I did not live close and would be waiting. They said they would see what they could do. 8:30am. 10:04am. The system asks me to pay for faster pickup. It also tells me my car is done. I pay online. I stop my errand running and take a Lyft back to the shop, happy my car is done. The happiness does not last. On arrival, and expecting to pick up and go, shop tells me windshield is replaced but the sensor calibrations are not done and there are five or six cars ahead of me for calibration. They cannot give a time estimate for completion. So, I am stuck here unless I want to pay for another Lyft. I could have finished my errands. Instead I am stuck waiting for who knows how long. 2:30 and still waiting, and they still can't give me an estimated completion time. Oh, and the waiting area? Tiny and crowded with almost no one wearing a mask or practicing any kind of social distancing. Think of it like taking an eight hour airplane ride, but with bad ventilation. 4:30 finally done. Ugh. The only reason to use Safelite is if your insurance requires it (mine does) or if they are the only shop in the state that can do sensor calibrations (they are). I wish someone else could do the calibrations because I would run from this place as fast as I could. To be clear, the technicians and employees are fine. It's the company, its systems, and its policies that are the problem here. They should change their motto to "Safelite. We've always sucked and still do." Horrible place. Got my window replaced in Colorado Springs because I was in a road trip. After a day I couldn't lock or unlock doors in my car and the window controls weren't working. When I got home I contacted this Safelite and a technician came out and fixed the locking and u locking but still couldn't control the window in the front passenger door. The technician scheduled and appointment for me at this Safelite but when I showed up they didn't have the part. I tried to schedule again for months but even Safelite customer support couldn't reach them. After 6 months or so of this one customer support found out that they relocated and lost me. So she got me in contact with them and rescheduling still couldn't happen because they would not contact me. I gave up but then was randomly contacted so I thought, "Hey, maybe this time." I contacted them and they made an appointment only to cancel it ten minutes later. I call customer service and they want me to pay for them messing up my car. Honestly, I hung up. If I'm paying then I'm choosing a garage that actually talks to me and doesn't further mess up my car and I suggest you do too.
