This is the left drip rail end cap. Somehow they manage not to lose this one.

No Quality Auto Glass is more like it. Absolutely incompetent and arrogant about it. They literally told me: "Most people think insurance is to return your car to the way it was. It's not. It's just to get you going." By state law, the opposite is true. In short: My windshield was broken. My insurance recommended Safelite but they had a backlog so I tried Quality Auto. I asked them if they worked with Safeco and they said yes. Car in question: BMW 528i 1. the get in a crap Chinese windshield with 6 generic wire connectors, none of which fit my car. 2. By the time I find out, they have already glued in the windscreen. 3. They have recovered the connectors from the old windscreen and want to "make it work". They refuse to call Safeco, insist that this is the best they can do. I say "ok, go ahead, but don't f'up the car wiring (in case this happens again), keep all wiring modifications to the windscreen, and everything has to fit back the way it was. "OK" Result: 1. The trim from the windscreen is gone at the bottom. They claim it was old and fell apart, my fault, and not part of the repair. 2. The trim panels over the rear pillars inside are gaping an inch open, over a rat's nest of wires. They claim it is because they are brittle, my fault, not part of the repair. 3. They snipped the connector off of my car and crimped on generic connector to fit the generic Chinese windscreen. Now if I ever get a new windscreen it's not going to fit, and someone's going to have to attach generic connectors because they buggered up my car. 4. One of their connectors is a bare metal spade lug, uninsulated, jammed up against the metal body 5. They lost one of the caps from my driprail. This should not even have been part of the repair.

    After!

She was able to adjust the schedule and squeeze us in the same day, which was such a relief during a very stressful situation. What truly stood out was Paula's kindness and compassion. She genuinely cared, offered sincere empathy, and even said, "I'm so sorry you're going through this." That meant more than she probably knows. She made us feel heard and understood, not just like another appointment on the calendar. The service was efficient, professional, and stress-free. I can't recommend Auto Glass enough -- especially thanks to Paula's outstanding customer service. We are so grateful

The gentleman who helped me (I wish I got his name!!) was professional, nice, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done and let me drop the car off early as I was going out of town. The repair itself was flawless--and they got it done earlier than expected! It's rare to find a shop that genuinely cares about their customers and the quality of their work, but this place absolutely delivers. Not only did they fix the issue quickly and efficiently, but they also returned my car clean and spotless--inside and out. It's that kind of attention to detail that sets them apart. Will be recommending to all my friends and using them in the future. I'll definitely be coming back for all future maintenance and repairs!

Alongside these newer cars, I learned the camera also needs to be recalibrated for lane assist & other features to function. All of my car's safety features were working prior to this appointment. Scheduling with Roger was fairly easy. He insisted that he worked on newer German cars all of the time, so I felt comfortable after seeing the positive reviews (side note: most of these reviews are for OLDER cars that do not need the recalibration). He was able to come replace my windshield within the week and then had me make an appointment with another guy (Jeff, whose business is Reign Calibrations) he works alongside to recalibrate the camera. Spoiler alert: he was unable to recalibrate the camera. So I contact Roger asking about next steps. He tells me these cars can be finicky and that he wanted to look at the installation again. I actually called Audi at this point and asked for one of their tech's opinions. They told me the gel pad almost always needs to be replaced. When I told Roger what Audi told me, he told me, and I quote: "Do not listen to Audi, because they just want your money." Don't listen to the people who work on these cars all day? Interesting. After this comment I was losing faith. Over the next couple of days, Roger and Jeff (the guy who does his windshield calibrations) changed the course of action for what they wanted to do about the situation several times. First, they wanted to take off the bracket, reinstall it, then try a recalibration. Then, they wanted to replace the gel pad and try again. Lastly, they wanted to put on a new windshield and try again. At this point I felt as though they were using my $50k car as a guinea pig and I'm very suspicious at this point. I ended up calling another auto glass company in the area and they gave me a lot of great advice. They were very surprised at what I was telling them about the situation (Audi included). Roger ends up coming by to look at the windshield. He sends me a text about 30 min before he wanted to show up. Not sure what he did but he was gone again in 15 min. Jeff then texts me about making an appointment to attempt recalibration on a Friday. I respond by saying my schedule is open. He doesn't reply for a day and then responds by saying he's changing the shop location. When I asked where I'm taking it, he did not reply for another day. Next day, which is Friday (the original day he said he would do the recalibration), he texts me saying we can do it on Monday and has changed the shop from Lynnwood to Everett. Now, I did some research. Many times these guys realize they don't have the proper equipment so they'll rent a bay at a different shop. I was done at this point. I stopped replying and called my credit card company and car insurance company. I got scheduled with the shop Audi recommended and my car was good as new. Roger was extremely unprofessional with the way this was handled. He wasn't honest about knowing how to work with these cars and other things as well. I would never trust these guys with another vehicle. What was supposed to be a one day job was turned into a two week headache. Side note: he told me he wouldn't offer a refund because the windshield was installed properly, but the new shop was shocked at the installation. It was totally botched, of course. His partner in crime somehow turned off features that technicians aren't even supposed to have access to. The car completely locked up all of these features as a way to protect the system I later learned. This was a lesson learned. There were a lot of positive reviews for his Wind-Tech Yelp page, but going to his actual business' page was a different story. It seems like Wind-Tech initially belonged to someone else but now it's Roger's as well. His other page is Windshields To Go. This isn't even something allowed by Yelp. TLDR: do not bring your newer car here if you care about your car's safety features. He'll also botch the installation with gaps in the windshield and an absurd amount of glue.
