She was able to adjust the schedule and squeeze us in the same day, which was such a relief during a very stressful situation. What truly stood out was Paula's kindness and compassion. She genuinely cared, offered sincere empathy, and even said, "I'm so sorry you're going through this." That meant more than she probably knows. She made us feel heard and understood, not just like another appointment on the calendar. The service was efficient, professional, and stress-free. I can't recommend Auto Glass enough -- especially thanks to Paula's outstanding customer service. We are so grateful

Dealership Glass was recommended to me by Toyota Lake City…read more When a crack began spreading in my windshield, I contacted my insurance company to file a claim. After a brief initial conversation with Dealership Glass confirming that OEM glass could be ordered and would likely arrive within a week, I routed my claim to them. The replacement appointment was scheduled for a four-hour time slot. Two days before the appointment, I called to ask if I could arrive an hour later due to a personal conflict. I was told firmly that this was not possible. Since I had never gone through a windshield replacement with ADAS calibration before, I decided to work around the schedule and arrived almost on time at 9:05 a.m. The technician, Ryan, was courteous and explained the process, including how to retrieve my keys from their automated lockbox if needed. The waiting area was comfortable, and another staff member later helped me access the Wi-Fi. At 10:30 a.m.--well ahead of schedule--Ryan informed me that the work was complete and that using OEM Toyota parts made a big difference in both fit and turnaround time. After a short, pleasant chat, I left. Unfortunately, later that day I noticed my Lane Keep Assist (Toyota's name for ADAS in the 2010 Prius) was no longer functioning. I have owned this vehicle for 11 years and know when and where the system should work, and it was now inoperative. The next morning, I called and spoke with Jennifer, explaining that the ADAS likely had not been calibrated correctly and that the car needed to be rechecked. She seemed somewhat dismissive, noting that the paperwork showed the work was completed. While accurate paperwork is good, the system had worked flawlessly before the replacement and stopped immediately afterward. Instead of offering to recheck the calibration, she referred me to a local Toyota dealer without clarifying who would cover the cost. Toyota Lake City later called me to schedule an appointment for the following Monday. Over the next few days, I investigated the issue myself using Techstream (Toyota's dealership software). While I did not have prior calibration data, reviewing live data during a drive showed erratic lane detection, even on well-marked, well-lit roads. A different Toyota dealership quoted me $430 (two hours of labor) for recalibration--less than Dealership Glass's listed $300 static recalibration fee. Wanting to avoid the expense and having some time, I consulted the official repair manual on ChiltonLibrary.com (thanks to King County Library's free access). The process, while labor-intensive, was straightforward with basic tools: a plumb bob, measuring line, Techstream, and in my case, a laser level for accuracy. After completing the recalibration myself in about 2.5 hours, the system began working exactly as it had before. I later found that the calibration data in the car's computer showed the camera height set incorrectly by about 10 inches--likely the source of the problem. Why I'm leaving a 3-star review: Positives: - Managed all ordering and communication with Toyota. - Charged MSRP for all Toyota parts--no markup. - Ryan reinstalled my dashcam and car wash sticker on the new glass. - Very fast turnaround--although almost too fast, given the scope of work. Negatives: - The strict insistence on my 9:00 a.m. arrival (instead of allowing a 10:00 a.m. start) caused unnecessary stress for my schedule and family. - Mistakes happen, but owning them and offering a clear resolution builds trust. Referring me to Toyota without committing to cover the cost did not inspire confidence.

Upon inquiry six months ago, my long time, trusted service advisor recommended Dealership Glass…read more The windshield ding had progressed to a fairly extensive crack on the driver's side over time. The service department had been monitoring its status and recommended its replacement. Thankfully, Dealership Glass was also an approved business per my insurance agent's office. Information was collected to initiate my claim. I received a timely call from Dealership Glass to provide my VIN after they received authorization from my insurance company. I was given the option to have my windshield replacement performed at home or at their Seattle/Lake City site. I opted to bring it onsite and got it scheduled. Note: service is by appointment only. They are located on the eastside of 120th and Lake City Way, sharing space with Pierre Ford Commercial & Fleet. Their reception/check-in/waiting area is modest, see my added Yelp tip. I was quoted a 90 minute wait, however, Nick - the service associate, was done in less than half the time, 40 minutes from check-in to final payment! Plus a kind gesture, my floor mats were vacuumed. (8/3/23) This was also the original windshield from an older vehicle. So there was no excessive glue or adhesive, plus no fancy car cameras to deal with, just the rearview mirror. Straightforward windshield replacement providing such amazing clarity! No more dings & cracks for this freeway road warrior. No more sticky debris despite periodic car washes from cumulative years parked outdoors. Got this completed on a warm, sunny day, so the repair should completely seal in no time. It was a reasonable transaction based on my car insurance deductible. Easy peasy, hassle free, professional experience from initial referral, insurance agent logistics, scheduling, and completion of the windshield replacement. Highly recommended based on my personal experience!

However, our trip took an unexpected turn on the last day when my vehicle's alternator suddenly failed, leaving us stranded and anxious to return home. In a panic, I quickly searched for a nearby mechanical shop and found Village Autocare & Tire. I called the shop, and a gentleman named Riley answered. I explained our predicament, emphasizing that we were just visiting and had nowhere to stay. I asked if they could replace my alternator before closing time. He was initially helpful in understanding my urgent need to get back to Vancouver. After towing my vehichle and upon arriving at the shop, I met Ken, who was at the front office. I reiterated my situation, and he assured me he would call with a quote. As I had to leave the shop for a bit, I asked Ken for nearby coffee shops, but he failed to mention that there was a mall right next door, which would have been helpful, not knowing the area. After two hours, Ken called with a quote of $1,687 plus tax for replacing my idler pulley and alternator, which was a refurbished Denso brand (Retail $235). I was shocked by the quote, and I knew that I was taking advantage of it. Given our circumstances I had no other choice but to go ahead with repair. I pleaded with him to have the car fixed by the end of the day, but he informed me that the alternator wouldn't arrive until 4 PM and that the installation would take three hours (Shop time is 1.8 hours). This meant we would have to wait until the next day to leave. Feeling frustrated, I walked back to the shop to retrieve our belongings and my mom's medication. To my dismay, I noticed the Denso alternator & the idler pully sitting on a table in Ken's office. It became clear to me that Ken had taken advantage of our desperate situation and overcharged us for the repair. The customer service and experience were incredibly disappointing, and I would caution anyone considering Village Autocare & Tire. It's unfortunate that businesses like this take advantage of vulnerable customers. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I recommend exploring other options before settling on this shop. Final Thought: Stay away from this shop!
