Finally getting to sharing my feedback on Extra Space Storage. This is not something I'm jazzed…read moreabout because the customer service in the beginning working with their team was super solid. Perhaps I'm naive but I really felt lured in by the reviews and initial low price offer. I had never rented a storage unit before. I had some apprehensions due to what I've read about bait and switch practices. I'd hope I wouldn't be a victim of this behavior...but alas that was not meant to be. I was initially pleased by the discount proposed after first touring the space in the fall of 2020 but just a few weeks later the price increased by the time I signed the contract. That should have been the first red flag. In the ensuing months, Extra Space increased my space rent by 20% after 4 months and another 20% 9 months later. A whopping 44% in just over a year. Extra Space has consistently raised our rent. They give you a big discount at first then in 6 mths raise your rent and again at the 1 year mark. Here's the breakdown of my costs to date with the company: 11/20 -- $157 02/21 -- $186 11/21 -- $248 6/22 -- $285 * 3 days after my online review (nice)* I know they will give you the legalese "pursuant to your agreement...you're on a month to month"....blah blah blah. The storage companies know it's a hassle for you to move again and take advantage of that. Of course they can stick w you the fine print but it's still shady business practice to raise your rates so quickly and so high. :( UPDATE Three (3) !! days after posting my feedback, Extra Space Storage increased my rate again by almost 15% ~ another $40. Methinks it was retaliation for this review. I find the timing of the increase VERY coincidental. I posted on 6/24/22 and they generated one of those pesky rate increase postcards on 6/27/22. Can't prove it obviously but it seems evident the business owners wanted to be punitive bc I gave them a less than stellar review.

Stood in the rain for mobile instructions and , lo and behold, the only cargo van that is double parked and blocked behind another is MY rental. Add Incompetence to the lousy lazy customer service. Yes, I called next day and got the refund , store manager was very nice and I appreciate that but I was leaving at 6am next morning with all the furniture so "come back at 7 am " was impossible..... really incapable and avoidable issues here.

So, we of course had to find a place to store all her worldly possessions and CubeSmart over the "Hill" from her place was suggested, so off we went to get her a unit. We got there just as it opened and Michele was all smiles and super friendly, gave us all the particulars we needed to know and showed us a few cubes. We opted for a unit that was split into two smaller spaces 1 for furniture and the other for her other "stuff". They have nice flat carts to transport stuff from the truck or car to the inside endless hallways of storage units. I will say this, they do have a free truck you can use to haul larger items, and we would have loved to have been able to use this, but because they do not have a night key drop box, the CubeSmart the truck must be rented when an employee is on duty. Sadly we missed this opportunity by 1 minute- literally 1 MINUTE, so we had to go to U-Haul- that's in another review. All in all a good experience and Michele was a gem!

The same Jordan here could not tell me what conflict of interest he is talking about. On 7/29/2019 I reported Seklou displayed the best of arrogance, abusive tone, keeping me on hold for hours , imitating my accent, laughing at the background while I was on hold. I emphasized the importance of staff being professional and the worst thing is he refused to allow me to speak with Rita who was very very nice. Is that conflict of interest? It is reporting a horrible service from their employee. Rita was very professional and polite. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

I was very impressed!…read moreI probably sent about 6 requests for quote out to different companies and Lynn at Express Haulers was the first to call me within a minute of sending the request, and the only one persistently following up with me. I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. Will recommend them to anybody in my network who needs moving services.

I would give them 4.5 stars, but that's not an option in the ratings…read more I used this company 5 times in the past 6 mos...my wife and I each moved from our apartments, we moved out of our apartment and into storage (which they offer at a great deal), and then finally again to our new place. These guys are professional movers. Their job is to pick something up, wrap the bejesus out of it with a roll of tape (even if it's just a tea cup mind you), and then load it up, unload and unwrap. They move quickly, they don't talk, and they just execute the job. That's why they're called movers. Now for the finer details: are they gently with the boxes? As with all movers, this is a hit or miss. They don't drop boxes, but they do assume you packaged them carefully. Your extremely fragile items I would leave for you to move yourself - doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. They handled my LCD TV no problem, wrapping it in blanket and cardboard to protect screen. When they disassembled my bed and moved the long posts, they were careful not to bang into walls. They were considerate with our lamps as well. Another reviewer mentioned they tracked dirt into her apartment. Give these guys a break - they are there to move and then move FAST. They not gonna wipe their feet every time they enter your place. You're SOL if it rains and you live in a cattle ranch with any mover!!! Garnett was my point man when it cAme to scheduling with them. Professional, explained everything in detail including charges and breakdown (by hour and minimum). Let's be honest here...we all tend to underestimate the move when we tell them what we actually have. They are on a right schedule and need to coordinate with other moves for the day. So be honest with how much garbage you want them to lug around. You're not saving yourself a dime when you not honest. Garnett went above and beyond for me when I needed to get my stuff out of their storage and into my new place (with two days notice)!!! I will always appreciate that and I can say everything was inventoried properly and returned without a problem!!!! Can't complain about that. I must comment that there was this one mover, a large guy who literally looked like Stelio Kontos from the cartoon American Dad. He must have been 6'6" or something. Real pleasant guy,very friendly and nice. He needed to use the bathroom so I let him - must have splashed urine all over the place. The residue smelled strong of uric acid/nitrogen by-products. Would really lead me to believe this guy needs to get his kidneys checked out...unless he's snacking on plant fertilizer between moves! You need a mover? These guys will get the job done....and they're reasonably priced!! They need to make a living too - give them a break cheapo!!!

The manager made sure they were available. So glad they were. Goran and his team were efficient, friendly, pleasant, charming and on time! So glad I discovered Perfect Moving. The second mover Rocco C. was somewhat more professional and did offer occasional advice, which I appreciated. However, when it came time to pack the cube, his approach felt careless and dismissive of my concerns. Rather than being helpful and solution-oriented, the process created more stress and confusion, ultimately causing additional headaches instead of providing the support I hired movers for in the first place. My biggest issue was with the office representative, Mari. Pricing was not communicated transparently. I was not informed ahead of time that charges were calculated per item moved rather than per hour, which led to unexpected and significantly higher costs. The office representative was adamant in charging me extra for an item that we previously discussed. The way this was handled felt misleading and came across as an attempt to overcharge. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, clear communication, and customer care. I absolutely do NOT recommend using this company. Don't be swayed by any discounts or these five star reviews. Every single person there is profoundly caring and competent. One of the most ethical businesses I've encountered. We relocated our Mom to assisted living, which was more stressful than a standard move. Our Move Consultant, Mari, was outstanding and compassionate. She put our Mom at ease and assured her that they would handle everything with care. And they absolutely did. On the big day, the team leader, Richard, constantly reassured me and calmed my fears. He was super-professional, as were the other 3 gentlemen, Miguel, Francisco, and Al (OG). They were all beyond polite, understanding, fast-moving, and hard-working. I have used P&G for 2 additional moves, and will use them again in the near future. I am deeply grateful that I found Pack & Go Movers; they embody the excellence we all hope for in a company, particularly during significant life transitions.
