I rented a storage unit on Friday 6/17 with a very nice gentleman at the front counter. I came back…read moreon Saturday to drop off more items, both bays were full and also all the 4 parking spaces. I went inside to ask if there was some other entrance to get to the unit and was told that was the only one. I got back into my car to wait for a space to open up across the street. One did after about 20 min of waiting. I parked my car and my mom and I grabbed a couple carts to load them up. Put my code in to use the elevator and the elevator didn't seem to be working. On Friday, when I rented the space, the elevator on the right had a note on it that it was out of service. The one on the left worked as my unit is on the 3rd floor. Saturday, trying to use the elevator that worked the day before, wasn't now working. I pressed the intercom and spoke to Edward and he said the both of the elevators weren't working and someone was coming at 1:30 to fix them. There is no note on the 2nd elevator saying it didn't work. I put all my stuff back in my car and decided I want to cancel this unit because it would have been nice to have been informed of the out of service elevators, there's no where to park when it's busy. I go in and ask Edward what the procedure is to cancel my unit, he said it's just coming in to let them know and turn my keys in. I said it would have been nice to be told that the elevators weren't working, and he replies with "what am I supposed to do read your mind? I don't know what you were here for" and I said he could have put up a sign to say it, could have said something the first time I walked in, and could have said it again when I was unloading my car IN FRONT of the office area. He got nasty and tried to cut me off while I was speaking and I wouldn't let him so he got mad, raised his voice and "said because I WOULDN'T LET HIM SPEAK, to get out" I told him it's basic customer service and he ushered me out the door. He could have told me when I came in the first time, could have told me when SEEING me unload my car, a simple "hey not sure where your unit is, but elevators are down" and he wanted to be a big man and be completely rude an unprofessional. He was pure nastiness. It's all on camera and I will be contacting everyone I find up the chain to let them know about who they have running their store.

I stored my personal items at this CubeSmart location for several years. I had mostly boxes and…read moreplastic bins, no furniture. I had no problem or issues with the items being damaged. The facility was clean and well-maintained. I felt safe with storing my items there as the staff routinely does rounds to check the cleanliness of the hallways, outer structure, and that locks are properly placed on rented or available units. I've seen them make several renovations during my time renting there, so they are clearly concerned about the upkeep and appearance of this location. Michelle is an awesome manager, very easy to talk to, and was very understanding the few times i was late on payments due to my own busy schedule or forgetfulness. They take appropriate measures to contact you by your preferred method, whether it's email, snail mail, or a phone call just to remind you that your payment due date has passed. I have never had an issue with any of their staff members acting or speaking inappropriately, and I would highly recommend this location for anyone considering storing their personal items. Having rented at other storage facilities, I would absolutely say this is one of the best maintained outdoor facilities I've seen. The only negative thing I can think of is the location and entrance to their facility is a little difficult, especially if you are using a large truck. It's not impossible (I made it in with a very large 26' moving truck), but you have to be very careful so you do not do damage to their property or other vehicles parked there. Most vehicles would have no problem navigating their aisles.

Ashley, the rep that was working when I came to pick up the keys for my unit was super busy, it being the last weekend of the month but she managed to remain professional and get me all set up as quickly as possible. She remained calm although the amount of people in and out was even overwhelming to me.. she also remained upbeat and I appreciate her energy, especially on a moving day in the summer which can have you irritable and drained. My son and I had rented a unit at this location for over 2 years and never missed a payment. When…read morewe vacated the unit at the end of the year and he tried to notify them on dec 31st and again on Jan 1st that the unit was empty no one was onsite. He went back on the 2nd did the inspection and was told there should be no problem he shouldn't be billed for January this year. He found out later they not only billed for Jan but they turned it over to collection. When he went back in to see why, they told him because he used his pin on the 1st that is why they charged for the entire month. He paid it reluctantly. If anything they should have charged for one day not 31!! I would not recommend their storage facility.

Picked this location and business based on all the positive reviews. After going in vetting to…read moredifferent places ultimately I picked this business. My 1st visit was really good as Maria showed me around and explained how the units worked. Upon hearing that I would need my storage unit for a couple more weeks Maria extended my reservation to keep my rate and that really helped. On move in day I was given a phone call the day before, to check to make sure what time I was going to arrive. I was able to reschedule my time when I realised that the time slot didn't work any longer. The office staff were very flexible with helping me out. I was able to complete the whole moving process in less than 30 minutes. Overall I am happy with my unit I end up getting a 10 by 7 and a 1/2. I do like the ease of unloading my S UV into their docking station. I appreciate the climate control as it can get really hot during the summer and I was worried about my electronics. This was the true reason I picked this location even though about $50 more per month than the location about 2 miles away. All in all super excited about the fringe benefits of this location, To include utilization of a moving truck. The nice thing is that they allow you to use the moving truck up to 2 weeks from your moving date. This alone is going to save me a $150.

They truly do treat your "treasures" as if they were their own. C.J. and his crew were on time, polite, focused, quick, but careful. The word I would use is "meticulous." And they all had good senses of humor. Unpacking in Wheaton simply reversed the excellent process. They placed our furniture where we asked. They attached our new headboard, (which I didn't expect) and reinstalled the little pesky shelves in our CD/DVD revolving tower. They made sure everything was where it should be before they left. I'm hoping not to move again for a long while, but I would hire them again in a nano second.
