I received a quote for a flat rate based on the amount of items, as well as the size of the items. They will need an estimate for the quote and that rate will remain the same more or less. Their quote was the best I could find for my move in terms of price. Remember, this is a growing small business! Competitive pricing, amazing service. They texted me the day before to confirm the move and I was able to ask them any questions I had, notify them of any other items I was taking (or not), and so forth. The response was always prompt and I felt confident that they would be able to do the job. The day came and they notified me an hour, 30 minutes, and 10 minutes before (as well as when they arrived). It put my mind at ease. Then, they showed up and loaded everything in their truck about 10-15 minutes. The amount of my belongings was roughly the size of a small studio/1-bedroom apartment (minus a bed or any big furniture). Once everything was packed up, I rode with them into the city to the apartment and we were able to unload everything - again, very fast and efficiently. My building was on an incline - right in the middle of a hill - in Manhattan nonetheless and they were able to park and move everything without a problem. At one point a truck came and they had to move. It was no problem. All in all, they came at 9am and were done by 11-12pm. They made everything look easy. Incredibly fast service. Note: They accept cash or Venmo, which is really convenient and I was able to tip them. Overall, communication was seamless. Their prices are competitive and better than bigger companies in the area. Very friendly, quick, and efficient! I went with Safe Moving originally as they gave me the lowest quote out of several companies, but I would absolutely hire them again! Nemanja was very professional, friendly, and timely in his communications, and took care of the COI ahead of time. On the day of, the guys moved my stuff (1-bedroom apartment) extremely quickly and efficiently. They had boxes for some of my smaller things (wall art, medium TV, etc) and wrapped the sofa and mattress with care. They were very flexible, as I had a few extra items and boxes that I had not originally listed and they did not charge me extra above the original quote. Everyone knows that moving is stressful at best, and a nightmare at worst. I was moving out of a studio in the West Village to the East Village, less than a mile away. I requested quotes from a bunch of moving companies on Yelp, and came back with a ton of outrageous prices, including charging extra for flights of stairs and certificates of insurance, etc. Most of the companies wanted hundreds of dollars more than Safe Moving, with one quoting me nearly triple the price. I was initially wary because these guys don't have a lot of reviews. However, the ones they had were all five stars, so I took a leap of faith. Let me tell you: these guys are the best movers I've ever had. Nemanja was great about communicating the entire time. On the day of the move, he and his guy showed up 15 minutes early and started immediately. They were so nice, professional, and meticulous. I've never seen movers take such care or pay such close attention to detail when handling my things. On top of that, they finished super quickly, in about 2.5 hours. My experience with Safe Moving was fabulous! The communication with Nemanja was excellent. He was so helpful and honest. I had put in a request through Yelp to over 20 moving companies. Probably received replies from most of them. Some were more difficult than others with their requirements to figure out the price and time needed. The price for, what I thought would be an easy move, ranged from $150 to $1500. The coordination needed with the two buildings and the mover is overwhelming. Nemanja was such a wonderful aid in the process. Even as things went wrong during the move, with communication with the buildings, Nemanja was calm, cool and comforting. I cannot speak highly enough of these guys. They came right on time and were efficient, professional, intelligent, and patient. I scheduled my move at the exact same time as the USA women's soccer team parade in Fidi so all the streets in the area around my new apartment were closed. The movers were patient and understanding and ultimately moved my stuff in from a quarter mile away from the apartment. They never once complained despite having to drive around lower Manhattan for an hour. They treated all my things with care and even moved more things then I had originally listed in my inventory.
