Don't ever use this company, I went and listened to my realtor and it was the worse decision I could have made. If I could give them zero stars I would. I signed a 3 year contract for Police, fire and panic and the system only does 2 out of the 3. When I try to email them no one gets back to me, when I try to call them no one gets back to me. I had to call ADT directly and they got a hold of them for me and they scheduled an appointment for a Sat morning and the tech never showed up nor did he call to let us know that he wasn't coming. Tried to call them on that day but you cant get a hold of anyone on the weekends. Called ADT and they couldn't get a hold of anyone either. When I finally got a hold of them during the week they said the tech was suppose to call you and let you know that the system cant be hard wired to the wireless system and that I have no way out of the contract for 3 years, even though I was told I would have all 3 services on the system and only have 2. I turned my ADT off that safe haven installed, months ago but i still pay a monthly fee. I only have 4 months left (yeah). Dont pay for the upgrade of better sensors (500$) with their guarantee of no false alarms, hell the alarms went off day 4 and kept going off weekly for the first 2 months then down to once a month or two. I had 4 techs over 6 times in the first 6 months all on my time. ( I had to take off of work each time) because they use the you signed the 3 year contact BS on me. It took until the fourth tech to realize they never put a sensor on my garage door. If you don't want to deal with the anxiety of having to run to your phone and worrying about false alarms and the local police coming over ( and 75 dollar tickets for too many false alarms) please, please don't deal with this company. I purchased a new home from DR Horton homes and have Safe Haven as the security co. It has been the worse company that I have had to deal with. All they want is for you to sign a contract and then they don't do anything to help you out with the problems. if the system is on all I get all night is messages that the system detects movement and you can't sleep. Management does nothing to help sales people have quit because of the trouble they have with the company. This guy showed up at our door ignoring our NO Soliciting sign, proceeded to ring our doorbell and knock on our door. My teen finally answered and told him we are not interested, he continued to hound her and tried to bait her into a conversation! BUYER BEWARE! Safe Haven charged me without permission!! A couple days ago, two gentleman came to my door between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 pm (should have been my first clue). One of the gentleman was a branch manager. Both were friendly. After many questions,  and about 45 minutes later we decided to purchase a system. The branch manager was so quick to get on the phone with multiple technicians to see if somebody could come out the following day, that is when I got my first gut instinct that something might not be right. He ended up finding somebody in Naples. I live in Largo. About 20 minutes after they left I did what I normally would do before making a big purchase and research the company. I looked on Yelp, Better Business Bureau, and Facebook and found a ton of negative reviews about faulty equipment, bad customer service, and overall just getting ripped off. My husband and I then discussed if it was a good idea and we decided it was not. So, we called the branch manager who seemed like it was almost a personal attack on him. He was still pretty friendly but kept going on and on about how bad of an idea it was. We kept telling him that it had nothing to do with him. Once we told him it was because of all the negative reviews we saw he told us we should ignore the reviews. That negative reviews were normal. That's when I knew we made the right choice. After trying to get us to stay he finally just said that we would need to call the corporate number. Immediately after hanging up with the branch manager we called that corporate number. Nobody was available so we left a message. The next day, we didn't get a response by about 1 (since someone was supposed to be coming at 4:30pm) so my husband called. He spoke to a guy and the guy tried really hard to get us to stay. He even offered free installation. But, after my husband gave him many "no"'s he said he would cancel it and "good luck getting your home secure". Today, when making a deposit I noticed that there was a charge on my account for $136. According to the branch manager during the many questions I asked I wouldn't have been charged anything until after installation. NOTHING WAS INSTALLED! So Safe Haven charged me without permission. I called, got zero apologies, and was told that within 3 to 5 business days the charge would drop. If the charge does not drop I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more

The system and company is absolute garbage. I was told because I asked the door to door is there a trial period in case I did not like the system, he told me there is a 60 day money back guarantee but it is a 3 year contract past the 60 days. I am within those 60 days, and trying to cancel it, and now I am being told that whoever said that was wrong and I would have to pay 75% of the 3 years to get out of this contract!! That is a total of $1,819.15. As I reiterated, how is it my fault and I have to pay that, when he told me this???? Let alone I had an attempt break in, and the supposedly cops that were promised to come to my house within 10 minutes, was not even called! As my phone alarm went off of front window opened, it took me almost 25 minutes to get to the house and then call ADT asking where are the cops?? The lady told me that 3 alarms needed to be triggered, and come to find that "camera" inside the house, could not capture anything because it was at night, so apparently you need your lights on for the camera to even be able to see anything. This company by the way, is not even the real ADT! When I call ADT, they keep giving me a different third party number and keep reiterating how they are not ADT. Absolutely the worst experience i have had with an alarm company. They are sooo nice during the sales pitch and do not deliver on what was promised. The tech showed up and did a partial install. Had to recall with the sales rep to get tech back. When he returned everything we had agreed upon could not be done. read this at least before making a mistake if you read this and still buy from safe haven and adt. you didn't read this and you're going to hate that you didn't. but that's your fault means who has a person who installs your system tells the person who is pissed off for months now that your system has not worked for months now cause the green light on the camera is flashing red. this means and tells every robber driving by that your security is completely down. what company does this. what employee tells people this.that your system has not worked and will not work when flashing red. why not just tell the robber your house is open for business. you do not have to read this and waste your money and time. safe haven installs cameras and the ring doorbell and sensors all around. they will install it all and it will be working but month after month they will need to come out to find out nothing is working again and again and again. after 50 phone calls and 50 voice mails, you will still not have service back ever. 1. adt is not a security company just the bank that takes your money and lies to you. don't believe me then buy this service. you will hate that you didn't listen to me. 2. safe haven is a bunch of con artists and lies. people like cheri abbott will tell you she will take care of you and make sure you have the service you need. trust me you think you have been played and lied to before. wait till she does it. 3. the installation will work for 2-3 weeks. then it will stop working. you will waste 2 months calling and calling until someone comes out to fix it. they will blame you. but the blaming part they won't explain why they just will make you feel bad that you did it. but won't show you what did it. but they fix it. the best part is it will work again for 1-2 weeks then stop working all over again. 4. the above will go on and on for months. until you do what they want " just give up ". mentally break down and give up. your system will be a $4000 iphone put on face time but no joke that's a better system. 5. do not call adt with your issues. you will be placed on hold for hours and hours. transferred to the wrong people on purpose just so they don't have to dealer with you. they close at 8 pm mountain time when you call. so at 745:pm when you have been on hold for 1 hour most of the time 2 hours waiting and they will get on the phone they then will tell you they have the correct person that will help you. they put you on hold for 5 minutes. transfer you and then someone will pick up and say this is the wrong person but hey hold on all transfer you to the correct person. they will transfer you and it will ring and ring and then say they are closed for the night. this is the game that is played by adt so please do not waste your time. this happened to me for a month straight. i finally figured out the game the people on the other line who played it. the funny part was i had to call so much i feel that they knew it was me who was calling. keep you on hold until its closing time and then leave you hanging till the phone tells you they closed and hangs up. adt does not help you. they take your monthly bill and then if there is an issue tell you to call the people who installed the system that they sent out. that they have nothing to do with the repairs after its installed by the sevice shop that they get contracted by. what do i have 2 signs out front of my house that say adt for " which is installed by the contracted company " you didn't and do not service my house " no " they do not. they contract the service out to a local company you might live by. god fear its a company that actually cares. my local company safe haven is a " joke ". i called for 2 months straight and left 1 month's worth of voice mails and nobody ever called me back. it's all about the upsell. after they have what they want meaning selling you all the cameras and sensors they don't care at all. so adt who is on your billing statement and the front of your house and windows is not the security company at all. they just are the name brand that's taped to the window. it's like buying a dr horton home but wal mart built it meaning the house and they got the parts supplied from ikea. it's a joke. i can only help you the people from not making the biggest mistake you will make with your money. your house will not be safe. 4 cameras and a ring doorbell and for 5 months has only worked at most combined for 1 to 1 and a half months. the rest of the tim read more

The sales person said the charges would be waived for installing the equipment and then the sales guy tells me to get what I want which was door sensors and smoke alarms would be $800. I called 1 week later to let them know and they said per my contract I have only 3 days, that was never made clear while installing. I have had nothing but problems with my account with ADT since, my rebate for installation was put on hold until I called the corporate office to find out where it was, the # for the rebate center I was receiving was disconnected. We scheduled an installation and they sent a technician Arron Wells who was very friendly, professional and explained everything regarding the system to me and my wife. Bait and Switch I recently bought a house. Brad and his trainee showed up at my house two days after I moved in. They showed up in the middle of my family dinner, around 7PM. I kindly asked that they stopped by another time. They came back later that evening around 8:30 as I was getting my kids bathed and ready for bed. Brad is a very smooth sales guy who quickly tries to relate and understand your needs. Based on that, he inserts FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt). He talks about being new to a neighborhood, not really knowing your neighbors, stats about the number of homes broken into in the first 30 days of move-in, etc. He proceeded to tell me that he was the district manager and that he was going to make me a really sweet deal since he was training a new guy and needed to show some sales. He offered additional sensors and a discounted monthly rate. By now it was after 9:30PM and I was ready to just sign the paper and have them go. I signed and initialled where he pointed. This was my mistake. I was told I would be paying ~37/month. I later found that I was locked into a 3yr contract at more than $50/month. I called to address this with ADT and Safe Haven and was told that since I signed and initialled the contract, I was stuck and there was nothing they could or were willing to do. If I cancel the contract, I will still be responsible for paying 70% of the remaining balance of the 36mo contract. That said, the equipment works as advertised and the ADT customer service people are very polite but I feel I am not getting what I was told. Also, I was suppoosed to receive a $100 Visa gift card for being a new customer. I never got that either. read more

I was refereed to Safe Haven by my realtor when my husband and I were in escrow. We had mentioned to her that we were going to have ADT come and install with free installation and we'd receive a discount with our USAA membership. The woman who I worked with, Terri Carroll had told me that with Safe Haven we'd have free installation and a $100 gift card presented to us after installation. She had also informed me that we'd need to pay 2 months in advance when we had everything installed. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill from ADT asking me to pay for a bill for my first month and the installation just 30 day after we signed a 3 year contract (the contract term wasn't even mentioned until the tech came to set up). When I tried to call Terri and ask her why they were asking for my first month and installation she explained to me that the $100 gift card that we would receive was to cover the $107 installation fee but it was a rebate and we had to wait 2-3 months to receive that. Whether we decided to use that to reimburse ourselves or not was our option. If we had went with our first decision we would have received a discounted price per a month off the bat (which she had promised also but is now stating it won't come into effect until 3 months from now), free installation up front, and a security camera. To top it off some weird man came to our door two days after we installed the system and asked if we had ADT (there is a sign in our yard) and asked how many doors and windows were secure and said he was just from Safe Haven and wanted to verify that we had our security and discounts. It seemed sketchy like he was scouting our home and didn't make sense that he wasn't in communication with his own company. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Stay away and work directly with ADT you'll feel more secure. I wish we had. read more

They will say and do anything to get you to sign including LIE about discounts available through ADT after you sign up. If you want ADT go to ADT directly. First off a rep spoke to me 3 days ago about an alarm system. He saw a sign on the lawn and I said it's from the previous owner (we just bought the house). Stay away. They make it seem like it's your inspection company calling, offering a good deal on a security system. They are not. We were interested in a security system anyways so we were wanted to get more information from them. They called at least 10 times in a month, very annoying. They told us the installation would be $100 and we would be reimbursed in 30 days from the installation. 30 days go by and no reimbursement, So I called them to inquire about the status, they told me it was going out that week. A week later, no reimbursement, I called and they said it should have gone out last week but they're going to look into it. 60 days later, no reimbursement. I called and they said they were looking into it. 90 days later, I called and never received a call back. 3 strikes and you're out. I flied a dispute with my credit card company to be refunded the installation charge. Looking into the company, it seems this happens a lot. Don't let it happen to you, go somewhere else. read more

This the worst company. I cancelled my contract after 2 weeks. My equipment never work. I contacted them to check the sensor that was not working and they could not be flexible to assist me. while I was taking to the ADT representative and informed her about the fact that Safe Heaven could not make any time of arrangement to fit my schedule the customer service person from Safe Heaven interrupted me to start arguing with me about the situation. The offer me in appointment from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and all that I asked for to make sure that the technician show in my house at 6:00 PM. How they would like for them or their relatives to be sitting in a Doctor's office waiting while their Doctor is at home waiting for a technician to show up to fix the problem. read more

I honestly wish i would have read these reviews before I agreed to this stupidity. Brad and a trainee came to my home a month after moving in. We talked and spoke about getting the service he showed through an app all the break- ins that were happening around the area. It seemed like a good idea but i was doubtful since i have dogs and did not think I would need the service. My dogs chewed the plug so i have no service on with adt. I have been trying to cancel this but no one is willing to help me. So now that i finally got a hold of Richard he explains that I signed a three year contract and have to pay 75% as cancellation fee. Ridiculous. Brad told me i could cancel it at any moment without penalty my mistake was not reading and taking his word on it. Please do not get any service from them. A Safe Haven sales rep came to our door after we just moved in. We listened to his pitch and kept his promo brochure. We did some research online and compared pricing with others. After a couple more phone conversations we decided to go with Safe Haven. Unfortunately, we should have went with our instinct and gone with Cox or directly through ADT. This was a huge mistake. Jay, the rep sold us on the service since we'd get a specified discount off our home owner's insurance with USAA, which would ultimately lower our monthly cost. That is what sold us. Turns out we got a 1% discount off our HOI. Jay said he'd fix it and either through the insurance company or through Safe Haven. Neither happened. I had to call him every week for 2 months. He just gave me the runaround. Finally, he said he'd cut us a check to take care of the difference in HOI discount. I emailed his work email the invoice and the amount. To my surprise someone else emailed back saying that Jay no longer works for Safe Haven. Yet, Jay was still taking my calls and assuring me he'll take care of it. I asked the Safe Haven guy who emailed back, Lance Combs, when he was terminated and asked for answers. He provided no answers and told me to contact Jay directly on his cell phone. So I did, and got no response of course. I'm so done with dealing with these people--so unprofessional, so sketchy, and the worst customer service I've ever experienced. First, I want to address the negative reviews from 2016. This service was ran by another group of people and since has been taken over with a new management team. I got a visit from one of the members, Johnny. He was very personable, not pushy and explained what services and equipment I could get for being a new home owner. I primarily wanted the ADT system because 1) They are known all over the U.S. as the premier security monitoring service 2) Keeping my family safe especially my elderly mother and 3) homeowner's discount plus proof of a robbery should it be needed. The installer arrived early which was convenient for us. He introduced himself as Domingo. He was very polite and addressed me appropriately. We did a complete walk-through both before, during and after the installation. The installation and setup was done in less than an hour. The system is super easy to use with the key fobs. Domingo did a great job of explaining everything and answering all of my questions. I can say with confidence that I have a great service protecting my home. I know this will not stop anyone 100% of the time but it's worth having this service to give me a little more piece of mine. Thank you both!!!!! read more

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Absolutely the WORST customer service. Called to ask questions about my installation and was told that I needed to call ADT directly. This was only a month after the original installation. The tech drilled a hole through my wall into the garage and didn't bother to fill the hole. Tech told us he would be back out to fix the hole but never heard back from him. We ended up fixing the hole ourselves. Fast forward 4 months, called to ask a few questions about our contract (wasn't aware that it was a 36 month contract... Shocking) but was told that after 90 days they forward the contract on to ADT and don't keep a copy on file (lie). Called ADT and they did have a copy of the contract but since it was within the 12 months, I needed to talk to Safe Haven. After 2 more phone calls to Safe Haven and very rude people lecturing me about how a contract works and that I couldn't cancel without paying them 100% of the contract, I decided that I would wait until after the first 12 months so that my contract would be in ADT's complete control and I wouldn't give Safe Haven anymore of my money.... Stay away from Safe Haven unless you like rude and disrespectful people lecturing you instead of listening to your concern's or questions. They can't be bothered once they have your "signature" (which is not your signature) on their contract. They could careless about your home. Oh and if you ask for fire alarm monitoring as a part of your package, you can forget it.... They never added ours. Took me talking directly to ADT, they were willing to add the fire detectors to the plan as well as lowering our monthly fee but keeping the same plan. All I can say is research the Dealers.... Run don't walk from this company, they are scam artist, I was to have a system installed and when the tech came he could not install for some reason or another, could not provide outside signs was told to go online and order them- REALLY! I cancelled and thank goodness I never signed a contract, however they charged my credit card before they even came out to the house, which should not have been done till the equipment was installed and a confirmation number received. I have made numerous calls to the idiot salesperson who did not know her job, she had to keep asking someone else questions and I then requested that they credit my card ASAP, here it is a week later and nothing has been done, I had even called the corporate office in Kansas City and was told Chris the manager would call me back, Never happened. Notified credit card company who is investigating and also considering slapping both the sales person and company with fraud charges. The original quote I was given was a bunch of crap they charged my card with $30.00 over the quote. I STRESS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS AND UNDER HANDED. read more
