Area of roof leak Tesla refuses to repair, photo taken by Tesla inspector

I noticed damage to the ceiling of my home on Oct 20th. I called a 3rd party contractor to inspect my roof. He said it appears to be leaking at the installation site of my Tesla solar panels. I called Tesla who sent someone out to inspect the damage. This person looked in the attic and inside the home only. After 2 weeks of calling Tesla for follow up to this visit in hopes for repairs, they sent a second inspector out. This inspector stated they were short handed and sent the previous "unexperienced" person out to assess the damage. This crew removed the solar panels and did a through investigation. I also provided my 3rd party inspector's report to them. The Tesla inspector stated the leak was due to improper solar installation with broken tiles under the solar brackets. My roof warranty, from Tesla, against installation issues is for 25 years. He stated that Tesla would do the repairs and that it would be done in "multiple stages" needing the roof repairs, the wood in the attic replaced, the insulation and then drywall. He assured us the report would reflect that Tesla is responsible for the repairs. A week went by and I received an email from Tesla stating "based on the inspection report, Tesla is not liable". They also provided a bill due for $300, for the inspection and removal of the solar panels, of which I was not informed I may receive. I called Tesla customer service and requested a copy of the inspection report, they will not provide it to me as it is an "internal" report. The customer service rep refused to let me talk to anyone else, and they do not do "disputes" on the results. I continue to receive reminders that my bill is now "past due". I have spent countless hours on hold with Tesla; initially trying to get someone to come out, then to get a response from the first inspection, then trying to get someone back out to the home, and now attempting to dispute and resolve the issue. There is a mold like substance growing on the drywall in the home and now it has become a potential health hazard. I have a stack of solar panels sitting on my patio in the backyard from when they were removed for the inspection. I have contacted 3 On Your Side with no response yet.

Worst company for solar panels. My solar panels have stopped producing energy. These people did zero maintenance.

The paperwork process was a little slow but having been through the same thing before with SRP I knew it was just part of the utility process.

Their warranty stood out immediately as being far superior to the others, which gave me a lot of confidence moving forward. What really set them apart was their full-service approach. They handled everything--from HOA approval and permitting to system design--making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Unlike other companies I spoke with that rely heavily on sales reps and subcontractors, Aneva completes all work in-house, which made a big difference to me. The installation team was outstanding--professional, polite, and very respectful of my home. They kept the work area clean throughout the process, and even went the extra mile in small ways (one of the installers even brought cookies for my dogs!). Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. The installation quality, communication, and follow-up have all been excellent. I highly recommend Aneva Solar to anyone considering going solar.

In July of 2024 we opted to add additional solar panels to our old solar system after being…read morecontacted by APS approximately 6/2024 and were told that we did not qualify for the solar plan we were placed on in 2017 by APS. We signed a contract with Inty Power in 7/2024, copy of contract available. Our issues started immediately as per contract our battery was to be installed in our garage but permit person for solar company secured permits for exterior mounting. This was not what we agreed to in the contract. Phone calls were made day of installation and battery was placed in the garage. We were not informed that the permit would have to be resubmitted. Which took over three months to be done and approved. During those three months they also had our original solar turn off, which we weren't aware of. (as of todays date 12/21/2024 original solar is still not on). One issue was a heat sensor which took 3 times for the work to be done properly. Cosmetic work has not been addressed. On 12/05/2024 the tech came out and found multiple issue with the new solar system including string 2 and 3 of new system not working at all. He addressed this issue. While working on system we found that the company had permanently disconnected the old system, which of course was not supposed to happen. Inty Solar has failed to meet 2 months activation date. We have had to pay APS bills over double the cost of our typical bill due to the disconnection of our old system. The cost of the old system was over $30,000.00. On 12/16/2024 we were informed that they would be out in January to complete project, supposedly. BIG MISTAKE

They don't reach out to me, they don't show, they don't repair the panels. It takes several calls over weeks or sometimes months before they get a technician out. I just got off the phone for two panels being out for the past several months. Again, they assure me I will have my problem resolved soon. I went through Solar Sandy, a woman who advertises to get your solar set up with no payments and a good company. She makes promises too which I feel are deceptive and in this case, the company she set me up with has not been very good in their services. I would not recommends either of them right now.

There were a lot of great reviews for Sunny Energy when we decided to go with them in December of…read more2022 and it was one of the reasons why we decided to go with Sunny Energy. I was most impressed by people saying what a great service experience they received. It's now May of 2023, the solar has been installed for about two months. The one hiccup we had with Sunny Energy was in regard to the contract. We were told one payment schedule on the phone and when we received the contract it was a different payment schedule. The salesperson explained that they had changed their payment schedule two weeks prior, and he had unfortunately forgot to quote us the new schedule. After the contract was signed the process was fast and Sunny Energy did everything they needed to do and there were no delays on their part. Everyone communicated along the way. All the communication was professional and timely. When there were delays in the process it was in no way Sunny Energy's fault. The biggest delay was after the system was completely installed and we had to wait for APS to give the Permission to Operate. In fact, once they had approval and permits and could move forward with the installation, they had an opening and they installed four days later. The crew that came out to do the installation was great and did a good job. They were easy to talk to and listened to what we had to say. The installation was rather painless and went well. After the system was installed, we received a phone call and email from what I believe is the head of customer service to schedule a virtual walk through. When we didn't respond and book a virtual walk through on the first email a second one came which was a great follow up. However, I would have preferred an in-person walk-through. I made the mistake of not asking if one was possible and it turns out after talking to Sunny Energy after the fact, I could have requested one. By that time the email asking to schedule came with a link to a video of the walk through and that had enough information, so it wasn't an issue thereafter. Our solar system is generating enough energy now that we are receiving credits from APS and electric bills for $0 with additional dollar credits still on file with them. I am pleased with the solar system that was purchased, the time to install, the work that was done and the system is operating as promised. I am also thrilled with the SolarEdge inverter and the app that goes with it and would highly recommend that people ask for the SolarEdge inverter and support equipment. If I need any additions to my solar system in the future, I will not hesitate to contact Sunny Energy.

Let's put it this way. More than likely, we are screwed by this company. My husband and I had…read morepurchased solar panels from Sunny Energy a little less than 4 years ago. Things have been great up until we noticed a small leak on our roof about 2 months ago. We've had multiple roofers come and provide an estimate, which they've advised us the leak is coming from underneath the solar panels. They also informed us that the leak appeared to have developed over a few years. Mind you, our home was built 4 years ago. Therefore, we should not have roofing issues this soon. The only way the roofers will fix the issue is if the lower row of panels come off. They recommended we contact the solar company to have them removed. We've attempted to contact every single phone line that we have for Sunny Solar Energy and all of them either go straight to VM or the line is busy. I've also placed multiple work orders to have the panels removed and evaluated for damages to my roof. We have not received one response. We didn't even receive a confirmation that the work orders were received. So we did a little research and found within the past year, people have been having the same issues as us, not getting a hold of Sunny Energy. We also found out that they filed bankruptcy in July of 2024. As you can imagine, we are not happy about this. My last attempt is to visit the office in Tempe, AZ in hopes that someone will be there to talk to me. Definitely not the best way to find out your solar panel company is useless. We are at a loss now and not sure what to do. Very disappointed, upset, and frustrated with this company.
