WTF!?!? Soooo delicious! Not shown: the pulled pork tacos because I practically inhaled them the second they arrived. Seriously though, the food here always exceeds my expectations which are already very high. I can't tell you how much I love this place... but I guess I'll try. I've been here half a dozen times specifically to eat and the other half a dozen times I've ordered from next door because I had the drunk munchies (shout out to Hope & Anchor). I've had about 1/3 of the menu in the past 3 years, but recently switched back to being vegetarian, and this place seriously understands me and my veggie people. They know we need protein and flavor and texture, and don't treat us like some weird health freaks with no taste buds. Try the hummus, veggie nachos, chile relleno, anything with falafel, and the s'more cookie. (They have a lot of vegan options as well and can vegan-ize most things for you strong-willed super heroes.) The food isn't the only thing to rave about though. The staff is friendly and so helpful, which is great when you're chronically indecisive like me. Our server tonight was the perfect mix of attentive and aloof, which is a difficult thing to master (game recognizes game). Also, the back of the house always seems happy and focused, which really adds to the atmosphere. All in all, the food is delicious, the staff is amazing, and the place has a hip, cool vibe (but not so cool that you'll feel out of place). What more could you want or need? Oh right, a drink. Hope & Anchor, a full service bar with an excellent and extensive menu of craft beer and cocktails, actually sends someone over to take your drink order. read more

To start, I really loved the atmosphere of Sabertooth: Cool, laid-back, with a good eclectic variety of music. We sat on the patio, which has long, picnic style tables. Our server was good, and kept our drinks refilled without asking. We started off with appetizers: the veggie nachos & the Knapp sack (fried mushrooms & jalapeños). We also ordered the pulled pork tacos & fish tacos(Thurs tacos are $2 each!). Everything came out pretty fast (less than 10mins), and was absolutely delicious! Also, I had a mojito which was pretty fabulous too. Both my sister & dad loved the food (we all shared to get a variety of the menu) & we also talked with one of Sabertooth's owners, Cassandra. She was very pleasant, answered all my dad's (many) questions about the menu & gave my little sister some swag (stickers & buttons). Lastly, my dad & sister indulged in dessert, the sabertooth elvis (peanut butter, strawberry jam, banana, tempura battered & fried with ice cream), they said it was absolutely amazing. I had to take their word for it cuz I was way too stuffed by that point to have even one more bite! Overall, I really love this place & will definitely return for more soon! read more

BEWARE !!!! We went there on 6-28-2023 @ 8:50pm to catch a quick bite. This was the first and last time we will go. The restaurant side was not busy with only three other patrons in at the time of our arrival. We ordered the hamburgers at 8:56pm. Around 9:05 another patron arrived to be followed by a four more that sat at the bar. Everyone was getting their food and when I asked,32 minutes later, the waitress admitted she forgot to press the enter key for our order. So essentially our order was lost and the waitress NEVER bothered to notice our order had not been brought out. I then noticed that four hamburgers were ready for pick up by the two waitress, but they both had a 4 minutes discussion on where the order went!! They seemed confused. One thing was foe sure it was not our order!! What a waste of time after a long day. We will NEVER go there again. I would not suggest this place. BEWARE !!! read more

Cleanly nice vibe and atmosphere. As for the food I wasn't impressed, the wings lacked flavor also the tacos didn't meet my expectation and I tried all three; chicken, pulled pork, and fish. Their snack box however did get a thumbs up ! its breaded and fried mushrooms/jalapeños flavorful surprisingly I would have love to have the mushrooms in a vegan style taco that would have been scrumptious. My husband and I eat vegan. We love their quinoa lettuce wraps. We always add some of the falafel to them for a fuller meal. It's fantastic!

One of our favorite spots in El Paso-- we love the lunch! Definitely the best Cobb salad and nachos in town. What we really love it's the fresh ingredients, attention to details, flavor combinations and excellent service! We have NEVER been disappointed: chicken tacos (awesome seasoning), Pozole (perfect amount of spice), veggie and pork sandwiches are perfection! The salsa trio and nopal cheese dip are also excellent choices for appetizers. Sunday nights they only serve burgers and the are defiantly worth a cheat day. Listen, no one likes reading college-length essays on Yelp, so I'll make it simple. This place is special. First of all its got some of the most interesting-looking staff I've seen in El Paso. They seem kinda like hip hop culinary hippies...I don't know how else to put it. We sat at the bar and although our orders took some time to come out, it was well worth it, and watching these guys at work was fascinating. They were moving so fast but so deliberately, everyone so focused and just in the ZONE. I ordered the pulled pork tacos. first of all they were cooking in a hotass skillet for about twenty minutes, but every second was worth it. Then I watched the cook place the meat on each tortilla, garnish it with some cabbage, and then INDIVIDUALLY HAND PICK EACH CILANTRO LEAF and place it delicately on top. Seriously. If she grabbed a handful of cilantro from the bin and she didn't like any that were in her hand, she'd grab a leaf from the bin and place it on top of the taco. I've never seen anything like it. And of course the tacos blew my mind. Legitimately the best tacos I've had since I can remember. Don't believe the weird low reviews. Sabertooth is one of the best restaurants in EP, whether for lunch, dinner or a late night snack. Modern twists on New American/Mexican staples with an emphasis on great ingredients and artful execution. I recommend the Po' Boy, the fish tacos, and the Knapp sack--no joke the best fried mushrooms I've had in my entire life. Give it a shot and you won't regret it. read more

At first i was a little scared about this place opening up basically connected to Hope and Anchor. I thought they were gonna serve crappy, greasy food to keep people drinking at the bar. Man was i wrong. The first thing i tried was the grilled veggie sandwich and i was surprised at how much flavor it had. It was very delicious and the side of home made fries really added to the experience. Their menu is very "basic" in the sense that they serve standard bar food like nachos and burgers but they do it so well and with a twist. My favorite is the pulled pork torta with a sort of mango slaw....so good. I recommend the bar nachos as an appetizer since they are not your average nachos. They are individually topped so each bite gets a bit of everything no matter which tostada you get. Have yourself a drink and definitely visit this place for some good quality bar food. read more

I'd recommend the burger over the sandwich, but the fajita meat is tender and tasty. You may request fries with your meal, but the portion was smaller than I expected, so you may want to consider only the meal. One last thought: The Sabertooth Elvis is amazing. The service is fast and fresh, but they don't just serve bar food as I previously believed. They pay a lot of attention to detail in their ingredients and menu creations. Their options are wild and delicious. The mac is great, the burgers are fantastic, and the tacos are yummy too! I love the casual atmosphere, and the fact that you can stop by at any time for a quick bite since it's not too busy. Another cool thing I noticed is that a lot of people eat alone here, which is something I am usually a bit self-conscious about. Here, it's pretty normal.
