One first minus reason is having to order takeout by placing a card over the phone. With all the hacking happening, this was a bit suspect. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, which unnecessarily came with fries. Don't get me wrong, the fries were delicious, like Checkers seasoned fries, but no need for them. I would like the price to be dropped to 12.99 without fries. I paid almost $17 for three egg rolls and fries. This is too high a price. Philly steak egg rolls were good, came with mild sauce, which was not a good pairing. Glad I asked for ranch on the side. Blue cheese would have been better as a dipping sauce. Overall it was a good eating experience but too high cost-wise. Remove fries and lower cost of rolls by themselves. read more

Mac & cheese was OLD, dry & tasted like seasoned noodles with no cheese. The greens were extremely salty. They should offer cornbread or garlic bread as an option. They automatically include garlic bread with the dinners. Who wants garlic bread with their greens. The grilled chicken was burnt, had too much pepper. I had to call in to check on my Uber Eats order because it was taking so long which lead me to trust that my food would be fresh & it wasn't. The gentleman I spoke to over the phone was unprofessional he also asked me what sauce I had for my chicken when I'd clearly placed the choices on my online order. Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat. The place for the most part is clean. They have a no gun sign on the door. There's a decent variety of foods, most of which you can order jerk style. They surprisingly have things like king crab and lobster tails (which I assume is because they're down the street from the fish market.) I opted for the catfish dinner with dirty rice and broccoli with cheese. It took 20 minutes to make and comes with garlic bread. Everything has a milder taste than I was expecting. The dirty rice should have just been called seasoned rice because there was almost no ground beef in it. It's like they just cooked a box of zatarain's and threw some specs of ground beef in it along with half of the seasoning packet. The cheese with broccoli is ok. They cook it with butter and cheese, none of which seems to be high quality, but the broccoli itself is fresh. As for the catfish I was expecting it to be tossed in jerk sauce or have jerk seasoning mixed into the breading. Turns out they just pour a thick jerk sauce onto the fish once it's plated. It looks like mole sauce and is so mild it might as well be. I honestly can't taste any spice at all which is weird since usually jerk sauce has a kick to it. The sauce is also noticeably salty. I would suggest saving money by using wax paper instead of foil and repurposing things towards higher quality ingredients. They've got the appearance down, but a great restaurant focuses on good food too. Overall, I like the overall idea of things, but it can definitely be improved. The food itself looks good, but is underwhelming and overpriced ($24 for the catfish dinner.) I'll definitely check back in later to see how they're doing. read more

This is a clean and organized location . Smaller than the other S2 I visited however this is an 'express' location. There is not public restrooms from what I seen. Both the Alfredo pasta, and turkey burger were wonderful. The staff Dakota and Shaun have great customer service skills. I would return. read more

Waited 45 minutes to order and still didn't get to. Delivery services were given priority and even they waited 15-20 minutes to pick up. Ended up going to the dine-in location and wasn't thrilled with the overly salted food, the boisterous atmosphere and the overzealous photographer who thought taking pics to sell me was more important than me attempting to enjoy the food before me. read more

They loaded -- and I mean -- loaded this pasta with cheese to the point that the dish is too rich . I love cheese , but the cheese is taking center stage here, and that's not how I envision a pasta dish. 3. This business has no reason to charge an AUTOMATIC 18% gratuity when there is no service. There are no servers welcoming you, replenishing drinks, bringing out entrees, or other hospitable acts commonly associated with tipped service. This is a crude way to generate revenue to pay employees. Not fair to the customers when they aren't being served . For that reason alone, I don't feel comfortable rating them above a 3. 4. The wait times are RIDICULOUS! We got here and there were a few orders waiting for to go(literally 3 people) we placed our order at 5:22pm and our order didn't come to us until 6:25pm MIND YOU we were TO GO!!!! Multiple people have came in after us dined in and ate their food, all while we are still waiting for our to go order, the guy that took our order seemed like he could care less about how long we were waiting, there was a guy that looked like the owner who saw what we were going through never did he come to us and apologize for the wait times or compensate us with ANYTHING for our wait. The lack of care for their customers is absolutely mind boggling. Then I get home and the food was sooooooo MID! The mac n cheese was not only dry but it clearly is not homemade. The sweet potatoes taste CANNED! My husband got an Italian beef and it was soooo soggy and he asked for it to be lightly dipped and we only live 4 blocks no way should it have been completely deteriorated by time we got home. My "jerk chicken dinner" was absolutely disgusting I want a full refund for it, literally not going to eat this... Always looking to support black owned businesses. I followed this place for a while. Reading reviews from celebrities and finally hearing about them from coworker, I decided to give them a try. I ordered the lamb chops with Mac n cheese and broccoli with cheese. It was ok. I like my lamb chops medium and they were well done. The Mac n cheese was ehh....and the broccoli didn't come with cheese. Would I try them again? I probably would just off the customer service alone. The food is excellent. The staff is polite and friendly. However, the actual service and wait times is horrible. I've been there 3 times in the last month. Each time I've ordered through Grubhub to pickup for myself. I get the notifications that my food is " Ready".....I get there and I'm told the order "timed out" and I have another 15-20 minutes to wait !! This has happened 3 times!! Plus when I was there, everyone that walked in was told the same thing. I want to support but hopefully this feedback will improve service. People's time is valuable. read more
