Seafood Junction - Seafood Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I'm not sure if this is the same place as Seafood Originals or affiliated with the location in Beverly/Evergeen Park, but a year ago the food was good, the service was polite and the establishment was clean. read more

Some of the best seafood boil I have had in a while. Good options, made quickly, and reasonably priced.

The food was not that great for $64 , There are better options , for better food experience

I have never been at a Seafood Junction. Alot to offer and i experienced good food and great service!

On the outside of Seafood Junction it looks way smaller than what it really is. We tried them for the 1st time on Friday 3/29. I was pleasantly surprised when we got there and went in because there were tons of cars there and we were afraid that there would be a wait but there wasn't. We were seated as soon as we walked in. They have a very large Fried seafood bar with everything you can imagine on it as well as a salad bar and to top things off a dessert bar. Everything is home cooked and so good! The waitress and all of the staff were exceptionally nice and quick. If you don't want the buffet which is well worth $23.95 each, they have a menu with everything thing on it from Seafood to hamburgers and even steak. We WILL be back! read more

For some reason the location I went to (325 South Cicero ave) isn't listed on Yelp nor Seafood Junction's website. Much closer to downtown... Wow, I don't know where to begin. I'll start with the bad, the salmon was a little dry & didn't taste very fresh but otherwise was seasoned to perfection. That's it for the bad! I opted for the #24 which is 1/2 lb of peel & eat shrimp & I upgraded to the large lobster tail. The cashier helped me choose my seasonings because this was my first time. I believe it was garlic butter, Cajun & lemon pepper. The portions are huge & they come with some amazing corn, vegetables & potatoes. It's basically a seafood boil without the bag & it can stand its ground with the likes of "Lowcountry" but a little cheaper & this is take out read more

Looks good don't it? ...It was not. Let me explain. The food was expensive, tasteless , & long wait. The taste was off putting. On a positive note, the cashier was nice. Anywho I face this place another try & I still don't care for it. read more

Seafood Junction - 1/2 pound tilapia dinner w/lemon pepper & jerk seasoning - Seafood Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Enjoyed the lemon pepper catfish and cajun shrimp dinners. The portion of food was filling.

I ordered 3 pans of crab clusters for Mother's Day!! I ordered Jerk, lemon pepper and Cajun. THEY ALL WERE DELICIOUS The only thing I don't like is you can't Pre-order your food so I had to keep it warm until my guest's arrived. They need to have a better system for that but the food was delicious. read more

Never been here, was gonna try them out, I called to enquire about Clam Chowder Soup, the Lady who answered was rude and sarcastic because I asked if they sold Clam Chowder soup, she snaps at me and says "This is a seafood place, we don't sell soup just seafood"...maybe she don't know what Clams are....oh well I'll spend my money elsewhere !!!!!! read more

I order the catfish come with potatoes Broccoli and corn on the cob. Everything was Great seasoned just right. Went back the next week to try the steak it was tough but the sides was good not seasoned as good as the first time I went. That's way I rate 3 read more

I don't know if the chicken any good or if the cooked the chicken frozen but I will be up there tomorrow to let you know if they fix this . This not especially during COVID-19 read more

I love that they accept EBT for payment. You do have to pay a $1 prep fee but it's only that. You can only swipe your card once w/ a limit of $180 so order everything you want at once. I got the 1/2lb. shrimp combo, it was decent. Could've been more flavorful.. however I am used to more juicy, wet seafood. Not the dry seasoning kind. Decent for the price! Shrimp and potato was my fav part. read more

So far looks good can't wait to see what prices are. Obtained a surprisingly excellent dinner! STEAMED NOT FRIED! Prices ok Will come back again! read more

Seafood Junction - Front of fast food restaurant - Seafood Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I used to love this place, but owners need to do better job when it comes to who they hire to represent their businesses. After waiting 20 minutes for a call-in order, I get home and my order is wrong. So, I call to resolve and I am blamed then I overhear the cashier cursing about me to a co-worker. MISTAKES happen, but what can't be forgiven is the disrespect shown to me as a customer. I guess I will have to take my money to Fisherman's Island. read more

I love they food I love sea food in such a water person lol everything taste amazing ... I always go there and it's healthy nothing like steamed food.. and they get the order right all the time... never had a mistake wouldn't mind if they had a take in where you could sit down and eat tho read more

So the food is great but if I spend a lot on a seafood meal I want all of my meal they forgot my clams in my order.

Their seafood is always fresh! You can buy there and take home to cook or you can have them cook it for you. The difference sauces you have to choose from are very good. I've eaten here more than a few times and they never disappoint! read more

So I live in Hammond, IN came here to place a large order and as a meet up location to pick up my mom since she came from Dallas to visit. My mom doesn't drive so my brother who lives near Greek town brought her. We all made separate orders. I ordered 5 lobster tails and candy grapes totaling $139.87. I was the second to place my order but the very last one to receive it. I waited so long for the order I was told takes 20mins for. Then I get home to discover my candy grapes are not in the bag. I call to let them know I didn't get my candy grapes. The first thing the women said when she picked up the phone was "this seafood junction this is not the south holland location and you got to come in to make an order." Then the girl proceeded to Blamed the guys cooking the food (saying they told me it was just that). Mind you she asked for my receipt to give me my order. What was the point of you asking for my receipt and the receipt sign on the window if you were not going to check for what I ordered.?!?!?! Then she said she lied gave it to my brother and that she figured we were together so she put it in his bag. So I'm thinking you gave my food away because you assumed we were together like we didn't make separate orders?!?!? We contacted my brother to learn he only received his order and that they just didn't give me my food. See It is not the fact that she didn't have my complete order that pissed me off or the fact I had to drive 30min back to the place for my food .... IT IS the fact that she never apologized for HER mistake and never OWNED UP TO IT! she had a crappy demeanor and unprofessional phone etiquette. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. I can't even tell you if the quality of the meal was good because I had to wait so long to get and eat it it was cold. I had to microwave my food. Owning up to y'all mistake makes a difference if you are going to have a returning customer. RIDICULOUS!!!! I started to cuss her out when I picked up my food but then I thought to myself, here I am leaving my own house, getting in my paid off car, putting gas in my tank using the funds one of my biweekly paychecks, being only really experiencing minor inconvenienced driving back to this beat up restaurant, and I thought about how much she must get paid here..... I guess I would be mad too if my job was to slang seafood all day that that can't afford to buy myself without financial assistance. You know you need to step your game when other customers are asking if you need to hire a cashier because this female kept taking her pathetic self next door to boost mobile. PLEASE DON'T DO IT YALL. Too many other, better locations out here to waste your time with people who can't greet you when you walk in the door. read more

Let me say this....I have braces and avoid corn like NOBODY'S business!! OMG this place has the FREAKIN BEST STEAMED VEGGIES with corn soft enough for braces! LBS The Cajun king crab legs are to so freakin good. Highly recommend this great place. read more

This is the second time I ordered add an extra corn. Got home had only one corn. Can someone tell me what extra means?

I have loved this place ever since I first tried it, but the more I ate it..the more I discovered the quality went down. I order the number 5 I believe which comes with scrimp, lobster tail, a crab leg cluster, corn, potatoes, and vegetables. First off, the lobster tail is usually cooked until it's tough. I've complained to them about this several times and usually my order is corrected. But you must tell them when ordering. I sometimes order a piece of salmon and sometimes it shrinks so that it's only a little square of meat. The vegetables and potatoes are always soooooo good. I always choose the lemon pepper and original seasoning. The corn is always soggy. The young ladies behind the register are usually pleasant. But calling your order in over the phone is a totally different story. Also there are no substitutions. read more

Food is very good ; fast service! I recommend if u haven't been there go you'll love it go try the food!

This was the absolute worst seafood experience I have ever had. I ordered lemon pepper and cajun king crab, I am totally pissed this shit was so dry and flavorless the meat stuck inside the shell. This was NOT king crab legs at all. It was cold, so I had to steam it and got pissed the more I forced myself to eat it ONLY cause it was paid for. I felt so guilty for hyping this place up that I felt obligated to pay my friend back for this disappointment. I have absolutely no problem with paying for good food and I have tried all these new seafood boil places and this by far has been my very least liked. I know this is a new phenomanon but its not for everyone. I forgot to tell you 3 of the cut up potatoes were black inside. I only gave 1 star because I had to to make review. read more

Visited Seafood Junction last night to pick up dinner. The staff was friendly, especially Miss Camille. I think sometimes a lot of places forget completely about customer service and just being kind to their customers. Miss Camille was super helpful and answered my questions about the menu with ease. Love this place. Best seafood on the south side and they're quick as well. The cashiers are always so nice.

Had the crawfish. It was delish. The Cajun seasoning isn't too spicy but still good. The crawfish is precooked and frozen also but that is to be expected since we're all the way in Chicago read more

Simply delicious seafood and amazing customer service w fair prices! Ive been twice to both locations! Be back soon :)

I have been a customer of this establishment for over three years , but lately the customer service has been horrible . Most recently I have tried to enter the restaurant at 8:31 and the door was locked and the young lady at the front said they where closed . The hours say that they close at 9pm. I called her on the phone and she informed me that they closed early today and was done taking orders. On 05/19/21 my son birthday I called to make sure that they would be open and the young lady said yes, and she could not take my order over the phone . I live just 10 minutes away and arrived at 8:30 again and the door was looked and she said that they where closed . Last I checked 8:30 is not 9:00 . The cashier service and attitude with customer is horrible . read more

Hands down the WORST seafood in Chicago.. food wasn't fresh at ALL, the seasoning is awful ( Cajun literally looks like they sprinkled seasoning salt on it) and the prices are a ripoff off especially when you can get the real deal at say Crazy Crab for LESS..
