This was my first time visiting here and I came with my friend. As soon as we walked in the cashier informed us that we could not go into dining area without ordering and paying first. I give the Food and it's taste 5 stars but the service was 3 stars. Being that this was my first time I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the fried lobster tail with fries. My friend got the seafood boil and hers came within 10 minutes. I had to wait nearly 45 minutes for a lobster tail and a small small portion of fries. The guy who was delivering orders to tables kept saying they were working on my order but I would literally see folks who came in after me and ordered fried items also get their first. I genuinely feel like they forgot. When my food finally came my friend was almost done with her food. I was disappointed with serving size of the fries I received because it was soo small. He saw what I was given as well as let me know he would bring out more. That too another almost 30 minutes but he let me know it was coming out. He was very nice about it I will say. I will update my review after going back and trying the boil . Everyone else I know who experience this place has great reviews so I was surprised by mine.

The food was average to me but I gave 4 stars because the service was top notch. David did a great job moving around the room making sure everyone was good, especially being the only server. They offer bottled Pepsi products. I had the lb of snow crabs which included 2 potato's and 2 corn. It's extra for extra (of course) and extra for eggs. They charge for gloves but not the bibs. One of the claws I had smelled a bit fishy. More than what I'm use to for crab legs, same for my friend. I like the jerk flavor. I asked for spicy but it wasn't that spicy. I tried my friends chi-the-3 way it was SALTY. I also tried their gumbo. It was edible but nothing to rave about. It was like it was missing a flavor that is usually in gumbo.

A black owned restaurant on the southside of Chicago. When you enter they have a big chalkboard showing the menu items. You place your order at the counter and either have a seat to wait for carryout or get a number and seat yourself in the dining area. The tables are lined with white paper for easy cleanup if you're having a seafood boil and large red buckets for you to discard your scraps as you're eating. They didn't seem to have a lot of staff but the staff they did have were attentive and friendly. I opted for the shrimp dinner. I didn't like the way the better easily came off the shrimp. They could have been a little more seasoned, and there could have been a larger serving of the french fries that came with the dinner. I'm not sure I would go back but I encourage people to give them a try because they are known for the seafood boil, which I did not try here, but have had from similar places and I don't prefer it. So if seafood boils are your thing, give Two Fish a try.

Gumbo was alright. The ingredients were fresh, but the taste was bland. Needed more seasoning. It was just an okay meal. Nothing special.

Service-Great! It was one server for the large dinning area and he was attentive and adapted well to the situation. We were seated outside & the rain began to fall the staff quickly moved everyone inside and the server maintained his composure and assited guest timely. Great job!! Food-fresh, hot, flavorful and overall good. I would definitely return. Ambiance-upbeat. Friendly, had a family kind of feel to the dinning area. I can appreciate that this is a BYOB (Wine) establishment. The Live band was amazing as well.

Ordered via UberEats because I was craving fried oysters. I also wanted a seafood platter, but everything here is a La carte. So I ended up ordering a fried oysters plate with fries, a fried shrimp plate, and a fried catfish plate all served with fries. Because I ordered catfish I asked in the comments if they can add tartar sauce to my order but I didn't receive any, so I assume they don't offer tartar. I also ordered cocktail sauce with all 3 plates, but received a cocktail sauce, hot sauce, and bbq sauce. The hot sauce was actually tasty, so I'm not upset that I received it. The fried seafood was all tasty, for around $16 for each plate it was filling. The catfish didn't taste frozen or like the cheap swai, it was surprisingly good as a Southerner. The batter wasn't overpowering or too floury. I definitely want to come to the restaurant to dine in and explore more of the menu.

Back again for an update on my last review that was pre-pandemic. They have expanded their restaurant for more seating and wider waiting area where you can also pick up for take out so that's exciting. My friend and I came in on a Tuesday around 330 and the wait was about 5mins, which you can't beat! My recommendation for large groups is to try the waitlist before you get there. Our service was just ok. They have a special for 1/2 lb snow crab and shrimp that I got for $18.99 (A great deal!!). I always get 3 the chi way and start mild and build up the heat if I need to. The flavor was decent, not as good as I remembered but will def be back if I'm craving and in the areas. Was surprised to see that gloves now cost $.50. Overall still a great spot for seafood. Will try their fried seafood next visit.

Want a down to earth, unpretentious, delicious, and authentic Cajun seafood? Look no further. Let your hair down and go visit this family restaurant. The friendliness of everyone there made us feel like home ti start with. Then the food. The fried catfish was so delicious; crunchy on the outside coated with the Cajun spices, and moist inside. They were also quite a big portion. The seafood in a bag was heavenly. All the seafood pieces were coated and soaked up that delicious spicy Cajun sauce. Then, the sweetness of the sweet corn balanced it out. What a satisfying meal at a reasonable price. If in the area again, will definitely stop by; even if only for a takeout meal. Be aware though that street parking is limited.

It's very clean and modern. The food was amazing. I started off with a peach lemonade/tea drink that was very good. I cannot remember the name, but it was spirit free. Next, I got the collard green dip. This is a must try when you go. Its so cheesy and delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. For my entre, I got the smother pork chops. OMG I did not expect that food to be so good. IDK what they seasoned that gravy with, but it was fire. The porkchops were delicious, and I loved the seasoned rice that it came with. My only complaint was that the kitchen moved very slowly on the night that I went. Front of the house staff was very nice and kind and I was seated right away. However once we ordered the wait time was so bad that my cousin had finished her appetizer and we waited an additional 30 minutes for my collard green dip which was very good by the way. Everything was served one at a time with long wait times in between. By the time I received my entree I was full. I took a few bites of the Chicken and Fish and everything else I took home. Literally as soon as happy hour was over everyone around us started receiving their food very fast. The food was ok a little salty (batter from the chicken, fish and tomatoes). In addition your staff Karen was not so kind and very forgetful of what we asked for. I know she seemed overwhelmed for the area that she had. Our sentiments were shared with the manager but that was it. The owner came by to check in but she just breezed by. I'm not sure that told her of our complaint but as fast as she went by asking was everything ok I dont feel like she would have been open to what we had to say. Overall it was ok, A few suggestions...and yes I would return because maybe today was an off day and everyone deserves a chance to get it right, During Happy Hour everyone should get the same level of service, and if a different menu is offered it should be offered to everyone upon arrival. Nothing is perfect and we understand that and gave grace by waiting and being patient. But these are some easy fixes and I look forward to seeing that on my next visit!

On the menu they have a special called the Grand Tasting where you can get 3 sampler entrees and a free glass of champagne or wine (red or white), all for $69. Everyone in my group decided to get this deal so we could all sample one another's food. I ordered the Tuffle Lobster Mac and Cheese, The Carolina Creamy Shrimp and Grits, and the Sicilian Sriracha Chicken Parmigiana. Everything was fantastic, so incredibly delicious. For the entrees to be samples they were a pretty decent size. The shrimp and grits and the Mac and cheese were absolutely perfect 10/10. I've traveled a time or two to a couple of spots in Chicago to support; only to be welcomed to a closed sign. So, Cleo's THANK YOU for blessing me with your service and love for food. It made my birthday, day trip that much better. Now, where do I start. Well, I called to make sure that they were open. I wanted to place my order via phone, but was instructed to place it via their website. The website was easy to navigate and updated. The time given for pickup was pretty much exact. I may even say that it was ready 5-10 minutes before. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. However, depending on when you go, there's a small lot across the street where you can park. Also, you can dine inside, however, depending on how busy, you may or may not have a spot. I lucked up and was able to dine in. Which made my experience better because I was able to take my food out, examine and get comfortable. All food is made to order. That is a huge plus!!!! Food was packaged right and sealed tight. I tried the Float & Fly which consisted of 3 pcs of catfish fillets and 3 fried chicken wings. I tried the green beans, Mac n cheese and pineapple candied sweet potatoes and pineapple cheesecake for a treat. Oh, let me not forget the Purple Rain drink. The catfish & wings were well seasoned and fried to perfection. If I had to choose between the two, wings for the WIN!!! The greens beans had a bit of a kick to them. So much that I followed up with some Mac and sweet potatoes. Ha! The Mac was cheesy and kinda creamy. Great texture. The sweet potatoes were different with the pineapples. The pineapples gave a little twist, but still delivering your childhood memory of sweet potatoes that grandma used to make. Desserts are limited; cheesecake or brownie. The cheesecake was my least favorite thing. I either want peach cobbler or cheesecake; not them being married. Ha! I was happy and pleased with how clean the inside was and how organized it was as well. I like an open kitchen concept. I'll definitely be returning when in Chicago. My advice is to place your order online. Keith Lee approved and so do I!
