I love this place! I have been going for years and the food is delicious! The staff are very nice and will answer all your questions. There are no prices on the menu but they do run specials throughout the week. I had the 1/2 crab, 1/2 shrimp combo that comes with corn and a potatoe for 21.99. They also have a 1lb shrimp special on fridays. They give you this cute little bib so you don't mess up your clothes although I always tend to be messy. read more

This was my first time visiting here and I came with my friend. As soon as we walked in the cashier informed us that we could not go into dining area without ordering and paying first. I give the Food and it's taste 5 stars but the service was 3 stars. Being that this was my first time I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the fried lobster tail with fries. My friend got the seafood boil and hers came within 10 minutes. I had to wait nearly 45 minutes for a lobster tail and a small small portion of fries. The guy who was delivering orders to tables kept saying they were working on my order but I would literally see folks who came in after me and ordered fried items also get their first. I genuinely feel like they forgot. When my food finally came my friend was almost done with her food. I was disappointed with serving size of the fries I received because it was soo small. He saw what I was given as well as let me know he would bring out more. That too another almost 30 minutes but he let me know it was coming out. He was very nice about it I will say. Honestly, this was some of the worst food you can get for the price. Everything tasted pre-overcooked and reheated, with strange, unpleasant flavors that didn't taste fresh at all. Seafood should be bright and clean in flavor, but this was heavy, salty, and just off. The cleanliness of the place was also questionable, which makes the whole experience even worse when you're eating seafood. For the money they charge, the quality and standards should be much higher. The business hours are posted as open until 6:00 pm. They offer bottled Pepsi products. I had the lb of snow crabs which included 2 potato's and 2 corn. It's extra for extra (of course) and extra for eggs. They charge for gloves but not the bibs. One of the claws I had smelled a bit fishy. More than what I'm use to for crab legs, same for my friend. I like the jerk flavor. I asked for spicy but it wasn't that spicy. A black owned restaurant on the southside of Chicago. When you enter they have a big chalkboard showing the menu items. You place your order at the counter and either have a seat to wait for carryout or get a number and seat yourself in the dining area. The tables are lined with white paper for easy cleanup if you're having a seafood boil and large red buckets for you to discard your scraps as you're eating. They didn't seem to have a lot of staff but the staff they did have were attentive and friendly. I opted for the shrimp dinner. I didn't like the way the better easily came off the shrimp. They could have been a little more seasoned, and there could have been a larger serving of the french fries that came with the dinner. I'm not sure I would go back but I encourage people to give them a try because they are known for the seafood boil, which I did not try here, but have had from similar places and I don't prefer it. I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Two Fish Crab Shack, especially because it's a Black-owned business -- but unfortunately, my experience only reinforced some of the negative stereotypes about poor service and lack of organization. After waiting in line to order for dine-in, I had to pay immediately, with a 20% gratuity automatically added to my bill. Once I sat myself, my food was brought out -- but there were no utensils, no drinks, and no setup beyond a bucket and napkins. I had to get up and go back to the counter to ask for basic things like water, gloves (which they charge for), straws, and silverware. With gratuity already included, I expected at least a minimal level of service. The food itself was just okay -- definitely not worth the price -- and the overall atmosphere felt more like a cafeteria than a sit-down restaurant. I truly want to support Black-owned establishments, but experiences like this make it difficult. I won't be returning. I'd rather drive to Evergreen Park for a seafood boil where the service and overall experience match the cost. read more

Total hood spot vibes, which was fine. Huge seating area, comfortable, although there are two restrooms to wash your hands in, and in one of them the sink's handle was broken off. Food wise, got the shrimp combo bag and the crab/shrimp bag. The shrimp were huge, and a very generous portion of crab legs. The cashier seemed confused as to why I was asking for one, stating that "my food was ready" I waited for close to an hour for my food that never came. Ordered via UberEats because I was craving fried oysters. I also wanted a seafood platter, but everything here is a La carte. So I ended up ordering a fried oysters plate with fries, a fried shrimp plate, and a fried catfish plate all served with fries. Because I ordered catfish I asked in the comments if they can add tartar sauce to my order but I didn't receive any, so I assume they don't offer tartar. I also ordered cocktail sauce with all 3 plates, but received a cocktail sauce, hot sauce, and bbq sauce. The hot sauce was actually tasty, so I'm not upset that I received it. The fried seafood was all tasty, for around $16 for each plate it was filling. The catfish didn't taste frozen or like the cheap swai, it was surprisingly good as a Southerner. I tried coming once before, but they had just closed for renovations so I almost didn't return at all. I had a change of heart and decided to check this place out. The place is spacious and was more than half full when we arrived. They sat us down and it took a while before we were able to place our order. We decided to share their Seafood special which came with half pound of crab legs, half pound of shrimp and we added potatoes, corn and andouille sausage. We also ordered it 3 the Chi Way and hot. Our server mentioned that the bags were small and only good enough for one person. We still went ahead and just ordered our one bag. Once we received our food, our server just placed it on the table and walked away. The food was really delicious and the seasoning was so addicting to eat. We honestly got full with our one order and noticed everyone else payed double and everyone was taking their left overs home. When it came time to pay, our server took our credit card and gave me the machine to put in the tip. Afterwards she gave me my card back with no smile or a thank you or a have a nice day. Back again for an update on my last review that was pre-pandemic. They have expanded their restaurant for more seating and wider waiting area where you can also pick up for take out so that's exciting. My friend and I came in on a Tuesday around 330 and the wait was about 5mins, which you can't beat! My recommendation for large groups is to try the waitlist before you get there. Our service was just ok. They have a special for 1/2 lb snow crab and shrimp that I got for $18.99 (A great deal!!). I always get 3 the chi way and start mild and build up the heat if I need to. The flavor was decent, not as good as I remembered but will def be back if I'm craving and in the areas. Was surprised to see that gloves now cost $.50. Overall still a great spot for seafood. The friendliness of everyone there made us feel like home ti start with. Then the food. The fried catfish was so delicious; crunchy on the outside coated with the Cajun spices, and moist inside. They were also quite a big portion. The seafood in a bag was heavenly. All the seafood pieces were coated and soaked up that delicious spicy Cajun sauce. Friday night, and decided to give Two Fish a try. What better way to bring in Black History Month than to eat at a Black Owned Restaurant. Hands down one of the best restaurants I have had in a while. First, their service was prompt. I ordered online, and the food was waiting for me when I arrived for pick up and was still hot and fresh! The food was amazing, almost unreal how amazing it was. I ordered the Seafood Boil Bag, by the pound. In my bag I had Snow Crab Legs, with Corn, Potatoes, and Chicken Sausage. In ordering your bag you get to pick you flavoring and heat level. I chose their signature, '3 the-Chi-Way' sauce and 'Just How I Like It' which was their name for Hot. (We love it lol) This bag was indescribably delicious! First, the seafood was fresh, the crab was cooked perfectly and literally slid right out the shell. The corn was seasoned to perfection and it absorbed the butter/ 3-the-Chi-Way sauce perfectly. I think my favorite part was the Chicken Sausage. It had so much flavor, and paired perfectly with the sauce, and crab. The 3-the-Chi-Way sauce was PERFECT! It had a good garlic butter flavor, mixed with Cajun seasonings which added the perfect amount of spice to the meal. You get a great serving of food, I was full and couldn't even touch my second claw of crab legs because I was stuffed. Exceptional. Absolutely Exceptional. Go get you some!! read more

Went here on a Friday night around 7pm. There was a 30-45 minute wait fa party of 5. I was annoyed waiting to be seated because they seemed to be very unorganized. There is a 20% gratuity on parties of 5 or more. We were seated then moved just in case a party of 7 came in. We ordered Fried cat fish, shrimp boil 3 way, (2) snow crab boil lemon pepper garlic butter one 3 wat, fried jumbo shrimp and gumbo. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The boils came before the fried food. The boils are literally in a bad no container or tray just sat on the table. They give you a bucket to put your shells in. You can't get lemon pepper on your fried food and can't get sauces for your boil on the side. The waiter took the orders and brought the food out never came back to ask if we needed anything else. Great food. Speedy service. Tables for 2 are slightly too small. They have a special on Tuesdays and Wednesday every week, which accounts for wait lines out of the door. You're given a canister of water and cups when seated, along with a bucket and utensils. The food took no more than 10-15 minutes before arriving. It was delicious. This spot is one of my favorite places to go for well-seasoned seafood and more! The flavors are remarkable good--the really stand out! I typically order wings in addition to my boil; they come with fries. I always go with "3 the chi way" house seasoning on snow crabs and shrimp, with all of the fixings. Add-ons like sausage, potatoes and corn cost extra ( $0.50). The lobster rolls are also really good! I typically bring my own drink, which is usually a bottle of water. The prices are pretty fair, especially for sides. There are indoor seating options, as well as a back patio. I prefer the patio seating when the weather permits. Most people tend to sit indoors. Two fish is always pretty crowded so be prepared to wait awhile before getting seated. Sometimes the host will prioritize other parties that have everyone in attendance before seating guests that are still waiting on others to arrive (I know this from experience). Parking is very limited in the area, so you will have to drive around the intersecting residential streets to find a spot unfortunately. read more

My seafood bag usually consists of snow crabs, mussels (black or green), eggs, potatoes and corn. They didn't have eggs or mussels. They had fried mussels that came with fries. It was good but it's not what I'm looking for when I want a boil. The 3 chiway seasoning was good and the hot level was perfect. The amount of salt however is very concerning and problematic. This is the saltiest bag of seafood I've ever had in my life. I don't know if I got a bad batch but I'm scared to return and give it another chance. Well prolly won't be returning because this place is over priced. Back to the salt...Even the meat crab meat was salty. I literally stopped dipping the crab meat in the butter sauce because it was too salty but the meat was salty as well. I cannot make this up. My cousin thought the same thing. It was unbearable. I've been fortunate to have both here; the portions are hearty, and the flavor is rich without being wildly salty (especially if you choose the chi-way seasoning). I favor their shrimp boils the most, though during the weekdays, you can get a 1/2 lb each of crab legs and shrimp for under $20. It's a BYOB place if you dine in, but they do have canned drinks and bottled water available for purchase. Even during the week it can get busy, so it's best if you can arrive before 6pm so you don't have to wait. You can go solo or with groups, and they offer carryout. read more
