My ocean perch was steamed to perfection but the potatoes weren't scrubbed to remove dirt and rotten spots. As others mentioned the broccoli was a but overdone. As of today (5/24/25) the menu items are $5 more per item. There is no new menu you have to ask the cashier. read more

I am soooo done. First things first, the quoted wait time is a complete lie (quoted 10 minutes, actual wait time 40 minutes). Ok let's move past that, prices have sky rocketed (normal almost everywhere), but the portion sizes have decreased by more than half. Almost $35 for 2 1lb tilapia dinners and just look at the portion size!!! ( I've been a customer over 5 years so I know the difference. Their explanation is that it's the same amount of food in a smaller container. Well I'm here to say that that's a complete lie. To add insult to injury on any given day only 1 half filled butter is included. In closing, less than half the original portion and almost double the price... yeah I'm done. read more

Price issue: 1/2lb shimp is $7.99 but 1lb is $18.95. That's a problem bc two 1/2 lb would be $15.99 which is eviqualent to 1lb. Quality issue: The shrimp were room temperature and I was present for pick up once they were ready, which was exactly 10 mins as guarantee. The actual shrimp were soggy soft and did not taste fresh. 2 star service, cashier didn't greet me nor give me a reciept or thank me for business. Over the last few years the seafood platter lane exploded in Chicago. I've been to a few places but this by far is my favorite to date!!! Over the last month or so, I think myself and my mate have been here for dinner like 5 times(....ooops!) He's not a big seafood eater and VERY hard to please. I'm not fond of the customer service or the parking lot, however neither of those cons have stopped us for coming back for mooooore. I always get the house seasoning however I have my eyes on lemon pepper or cajun seasoning for the next go around! I always order the king crab legs, I wish they gave you more :( We've tried the salmon that was pretty good, but most people always over cook salmon so whatever.lol. Next on my list of seafood to try is the lobster tail. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the last time I went it had a suuuuuper faint seafood smell which we all know isn't good if it's strong but we didn't get sick and it wasn't putrid, so we aren't going to stop coming. The first 2 times I had ordered from here my food was great. My usual order is 2 #14 and #25. There aren't too many places like this on the southside. The cajun and jerk seasonings are great. The last time I came here was on a Sunday after church. I ordered my usual. My shrimp in all but one order were mushy. I don't even know why. It was so disgusting. Clean and Friendly place. The young Lady who took my order was very Friendly and took her time with me Asking Questions because it was my first time there. I got the #16 I think it had 1lb of Crab,half lb od Shrimps came with corn ,Broccoli and red potatoes. With Main sauce on the side there's lemon, melted butter, Cocktail sauce( nice & Spicy) love it. Very nice alternative to your typical fried fish and shrimp. My personal favorite are the shrimp. I have only tried the Cajun seasoning. Hard to deviate from anything that works. I always request extra seasoning. The crab legs are good as well as the talapia. I haven't tried the catfish yet, but I plan to. I didn't love the salmon. It was bland and fishy tasting. I thought about calling the restaurant to speak to a manager then I thought to myself, why waste my time just go to Yelp. I spent $90 for a seafood tray. Soooo. Worst customer service ever. The cashier female cashier treats the customers as if they aren't assisting in keeping the business open. Then her attitude should be better especially because most times the food is half done of overly cooked. Limp broccoli and gummy shrimp, the worst. I also trashed the potatoes which never have taste. If you ever visit you will watch every customer check there pan in fear of a disaster. And if a disaster is discovered be prepared to deal with attitude form either the cashier or the person distributing the orders. I refuse to spend my money there. read more

I enjoyed the food from Fisherman's Island. With no traffic I can make it here in about 20 minutes & the food came out extremely quickly. There's a adjacent parking lot on the north & westside of the restaurant. Let me start off by saying the veggies were terrible. They tasted stale. That's where the negatives end. The food is cooked to perfection. This was the first seafood boil type place that gave me a cocktail sauce & it was fantastic. The medium lobster tail was on the smaller side but accompanied with the potatoes & peel & eat shrimp and corn you'll have plenty of food. This establishment was slightly cheaper than similar places but the food was still good. I opted for Cajun as well as Lemon pepper seasoning which paired well together. I'll definitely return soon & will try the jerk seasoning because I didn't realize it was an option until it was too late. For the amount of money seafood cost you would think the establishment would hire or train staff on etiquette and quality control...the entry way is dirty..the cashier is ghetto and rude. The cooks overcook the items so they are mushy, my potato had mold on it..tried to reach a manager, but supposedly he/she is never there. Consumers deserve better. I go hear so often during the week, that I sometimes think that they sprinkle an addictive special ingredient on your food. I get a #15 with a mixture of the Cajun and house seasonings. The corn is sweet and the broccoli is cooked tender. Not a fan of potatoes. My food is always fresh and delicious. I want to try lemon pepper and Cajun seasonings mixed at some point. Decent price but I ordered ahead of time and was even late by 15 mins picking it up and they still were not ready with my order. I had to wait an additional 30 mins for my order. It was my first time ordering and they didn't offer me the flavor options or anything. I was only aware of how customizable my meal was once I got to the "restaurant" and had to wait in a confusing line with a bunch of people who were ordering their food, figuring out where their orders were and which line to stand in. It didn't help that the cashiers were so lighthearted and nonchalant about the lack of order that was going on. Every time I went to ask how long before my order would be ready they'd say "it's almost ready" and then nothing until I'd ask again. My friend asked me what was taking so long to visit them and once I said where I was they were no surprised about why I was running so damn late.
